U21'S 3-2 win without JJ Gabriel, U18's today 6-0 win without JJ the 1st team need to step up tomorrow and give us a nap hand Unfortunately I don't think the women will win as they're up against Arsenal and Ratcliffe's torn the heart out of them by good players wanting to leave
jonny15d ago
U18s were great today! Decongested-Seiros looks very exciting 🔥Ratcliffe out
Life without JJ Gabriel 2 games missed probably couldn't have affected the Brighton game and didn't need him for the U21's tonight as they won without him and won't let him be a free agent yet
dancoombs16d ago
From a first team perspective it’s hard to miss what you don’t have in the first place. A shame but they shouldn’t be relying on a 15y/old to bail them out!
Howard Webb says VAR failed to consider the key point over Enzo Fernandez
Absolutely pathetic!
seanfisher19d ago
The audio recording is shocking.. they didn’t even consider Enzo at all. United right to be furious
Manchester United over achieved last season from the middle of January onwards, this has clearly had a detrimental effect on Carrick so far this season with ridiculous calls for him to go, what would success look like this season now?
ericisgod6620d ago
Apologies to mufcgrw1977 if my coments about fans getting wound up came across as a dig at you...it wasnt (were u born 77 or were you at Wembley)
ericisgod6620d ago
I couldnt understand MUFCGRW why every1 felt we had am EPLwinning side. Or support thinking debt was paid down and we had £250 mill to spend on plyrs? I dont think we were lucky last season, carrick has changed tactics need to go backto them ,(carrick being pressured to play a certain way to appease sir micro management?)

Still positive me - look at how last season started and how it finished….

PGMO changed their name to Pro Ref in the offseason. I would think another name change would be in order after the weekend, any suggestions?!
vatsal20d ago
Pro Ref? More like Slow Ref! I'll see myself out...

stephenjholmes120d ago
It's a shame it isn't PGNO, it could have been changed to PONG. Would have been appropriate, as everything they do stinks!
chillout20d ago
Yes - reverse the order of the R and the O and add another O after the first one.

Matt Donohue is from Greater Manchester could that have some bearing on his decision to allow the goal for City ?
dancoombs20d ago
He was the fourth official who recommended an extra ban for Harry Maguire after his Bournemouth sending off. He’s not welcome back any time soon

More from Dermot Gallagher on the goal
There is just no justification for the call.
barryroberts7221d ago
VAR is great at certain things for instance offsides and handballs but, this was so obvious that Fernandez was attempting to go for the ball even Stevie Wonder would agree, you only have to look at Martinez and a close look at Lammens in goal as he goes to dive thinking Fernandez will head the ball.

When VAR really does unite the whole world against it. 😂

If even Dermot Gallagher is speaking against it then you know we’ve truly been screwed over 😂

Dermot Gallagher verdict on Ref Watch
Dermot Gallagher does not dispute the decision was wrong. He claims the VAR officials had 'tunnel vision' on the wrong areas.
adnan.riaz21d ago
Why are referees like this, including former ones? Just say it as it is. We all know what it was.
seanfisher21d ago
“The more palatable decision” … I believe it’s called THE RIGHT DECISION

The real villain: Matt Donohue
VAR official Matt Donohue has previously given a controversial decision against United

He knew what he was doing and will keep doing it against Man U.Fire him as a warning to all referes and VAR

Snuck out of the Old Trafford car park quick time. 😭😂

Is this the first time United fans are ever agreeing with Jason McAteer?
Surely this has never happened before...

He has EVERY right to be annoyed by the decision. It was appalling.

Get rid of it. The entire thing is so flawed and already feels outdated.
Joe Hart hits out at offside call.

I’m yet to see a single person even defend this VAR call.

Get the point, but this was a mistake made in the Var room, is It a training issue or a personnel one?

We are live with all the reaction to the fallout to the Derby farce
Quotes from Mark Clattenburg and Wayne Rooney incoming
thetruthpersonified21d ago
Yes it was wrong. But let's not allow the VAR incident to overshadow the fact that our performances are poor.... Yes we would have got a point, but we should have performed a lot better. Appears to me we are relying on hope and Bruno still!! Where is the United approach? What are we trying to be? Donnaruma made a good save, but we should score!!
♥ 2
So they apologize, makes everything ok then, all those match paying fans have been robbed, the game should be replayed, make it 11 a side as Fodens challenge wasn't a red, give everyone free entry & replay the game, but no they won't do that, might as well not play the game & decide in advance City get 3 points for a VAR fuck up!!!
ian917821d ago
Im not saying we would have won the game but can you imagine if at the end of the season you only needed a draw to win the league or a point to save you from relegation and this happened. This blatant mistake could cost a club millions of pounds. How VAR got this so wrong is criminal

Why var always favour other clubs over Manchester united
ericlongshaw021d ago
Clutching At Straws There Mate So Why Didn't VAR Look At the incident When The Rat Bruno Kicked Foden First He Should of Been Sent off
granitegraham21d ago
It took five minutes for var to find a reason to allow the goal, that clearly should have have been disallowed. It took less for the panel to agree the goal should have been disallowed , everyone already knew that. As for the apology, what good is that. This sort of error happens every week. VAR is not fit for purpose, or the operator's are incompetent.
♥ 8
edughomnengim221d ago
Apologies without point is useless what has happened has happened the three point have been given to them so what is the need for this apology

What should be the outcome of the investigation into the incident after this admission of error?
Pro Ref (formerly PGMO) have admitted Erling Haaland's goal should NOT have stood

The VAR officials should officiate as on-field referees until the end of the season, and then their contracts must be terminated.
♥ 3
bs54158320d ago
This should have been looked at as two separate incidents, was Haaland offside, no he wasn't. Then was Enzo offside, yes he was, and was he interfering with play ? Yes he was, as he dragged Martinez across to mark him, leaving Haaland unmarked. Whether he touched the ball or not is irrelevant.
♥ 1
Already an apology… but what good does that do us… 😡😡 A point down while City take all three for an incident that was categorically wrong. There has to be more accountability… but how should the FA, PGMOL and Pro Ref make it right to United? 🤔
sunalike9021d ago
This is very embarrassing.

chillout21d ago
That’s football. There have been far greater injustices, but it’s part of the game.

The only way to redeem it without giving points back (which wouldn’t work) is to take a goal off city in the reverse fixture… in these very rare situations, the goal should be deducted in the next fixture

Michael Carrick wants United to win more games
Don't we all...
barryroberts7221d ago
Stop putting Cunha upfront he hardly does a thing, we know Sesko isn't 100% match fit he must be at least 99% match fit so stick him on from the start, then bring him off with 10 mins left if you have to. Get the players to actually attack the ball when the other team has it, instead of standing that far away you could park a bus. We were rubbish!!
♥ 1
geldroper21d ago
If he wants us to score ,stop putting Cuhna in is a worthless striker and sit Sesko. All his weird decesions makes me think he really do not want us to succeed. His love for Cuhna and Dorgu and hate for Sesko and Amass is a sackble offense. Just wondering if Howe is avaible ee

Youri Tielemans vs Elliot Anderson: Who came out on top?
Man Utd's £35m signing seemed to outperform £116m Elliot Anderson in almost every area
posix.forward21d ago
Easy to call from hindsight. But Carrick needs to think about playing against 10. You can give players freedom, but always in a structure. 4-1-4-1, or 4-1-3-2 as the base. Mainoo can be the midfield one when playing v. 10.
♥ 2
amirmir21d ago
Anderson looks and feels louder on the pitch. Tielemans was better, just like today.

stephenjholmes120d ago
I have been saying it since the start of the season. No positional awareness. Defenders need to concentrate on defending. When you have so many players in the opposition box, you can't break the lines with great passes. It was also clear once down to 10, the intensity went out of Uniteds play. Mid table mediocrity
♥ 1
barryroberts7220d ago
Rubbish with school boy errors. Yes, we don't have coaching badges but come on we can pick a team to attack and defend better than that. Why are we the only team in the PL who stand around, (what looks like) 7ft away from the person on the ball, stand closer, close them down, players who rush on the ball make mistakes.

Jim Ratcliffe and Avram Glazer were spotted at Old Trafford watching the derby - Do you have a message for them?
geldroper21d ago

Bugger off!! Sorry, only message I want to send. My beloved club is a laughing stock, a shambles and second rate! You are only stewards of Manchester United. You saddled us with debt and now the club is withering and unable to compete. A once great club left washed out by it's owners. Talk about sweating an asset. A sad and shameful indictment!!

City's goal SHOULD NOT have been allowed - according to former referee Mark Clattenburg
Enzo Fernandez was in an offside position and was interfering with play 😡
epi2media16d ago
The debate about Halaand's goal saved us. Even if it ended 0-0, that Man performance deserved no defence - against 10 men at home, for the 2nd time! Maybe next time when our opposition is down to 10 men, Man U should let one player sit out the rest of the match...maybe🤔
ericisgod6620d ago
Haaland offside-yes.. For all the wrongs & injustices we complain about the fact is we lost an a**e kicking comp to a one legged man and at the same time exposed United's frailties. Utd plyrs were worn out after Thurs night UCL.Utd dont have depth. United cant afford the players required to win an EPL or a UCL. Top 4 with an FAC ELC thrown in

FA's biggest mistake was introducing VAR. United was robbed because of VAR's incorrect decision.

City win the game 1-0... What is your INSTANT REACTION?
What can United take from this game? So frustrating...
nashtims20d ago
I have had time to think so not an instant reaction. MU were poor, the allowed goal was a poor decision, a lot went wrong. My question though: Playing at home, Why were we so passive?
edvinbakiri22atc21d ago
I think Dorgu was a disaster. Very poor defending and didn't looked well in attacking role. He succeeded only 2 or 3 crosses an all of them were through in the middle of the City defence without purpose or intent of reaching his teammates. The rest of crosses were intercepted. His pass was and still remain poor.
davecarey2821d ago
It was a shambles, harping on about the city goal is not the issue. City had 10 men and we still could not beat them. Lots of negatives to worry about.
Zirkzee ON, Rashford OFF
geldroper21d ago
What is carrick's thing with Cunha who is in this game so bad .It is like playing 10 against 10 Maybe it is time to get a better coach who doesn't believe in sweethearts
