Talk Newcastle United

jonny4d ago

Is it just a black and white version of the original?

dantowen819514d ago

He’s probably up against Barnes, which is the problem. If he was right-sided, he might already be in the team

george.patten31d ago

So many to choose from, but I think Dedic looks class from what I’ve seen. Fits right into the team

charlesjones31d ago

Sean Steur. Future superstar

jonathan.gorrie31d ago

MFP will be the most exciting player but I think Nico proved that there's still life in what everyone seems to call the Newcastle 'project' yet.

kyle.dimond34d ago

This is what Newcastle needed to go back to. Managing to snap up exciting players while other clubs look elsewhere. Don’t know how he’ll adapt but quality move on paper

kilham.max34d ago

Top signing this. Top player in real life and class in football manager! 🤣

james.brooke34d ago

Massively exciting player at a good fee. Lots of upside. Things suddenly looking really up for Newcastle

chillout35d ago

Spurs are a ticking timebomb.

david.comerford36d ago

Was an even game until Elanga scored. Amazing goal. From there, Newcastle just controlled it. Perfect away performance 👏

callum_boyle36d ago

Wissa and Elanga is going to be a great watch going forward. A word on Dedic too, he’s got potential to be signing of the season

freddie37d ago

That’s annoying as he was class vs Liverpool! Jacob Ramsey as number 10 for me

jonathan.gorrie39d ago

Matty's mad mags are winning it again

jonathan.gorrie39d ago

I would LOVE it to work but I just can't see it. I want to feel like there's a good player there but just so unsuited to the PL.

jonathan.gorrie39d ago

Can't say I know much about him but let's get him in and win the lot

dantowen8195140d ago

Big, big fan of this kid! Love how mobile he is up top. Think he could combine nicely with Wissa if Jaissle keeps using him as the number ten like he did vs Liverpool

dantowen8195140d ago

I can’t really tell how good Nico Gonzalez is to be honest 😂never thought he really showed his best self at City. But this is a nice experienced option on paper As talented as they are, I’d be wary of relying on Steur and Miley all season

markmarston41d ago

Feel like Newcastle need more experience… another young player, albeit slightly older at 24! Go for Ampadu at Leeds?

jonathan.gorrie41d ago

Buzzing. Much better than Hojbjerg. Add a No.10 and we’re laughing

james.brooke42d ago

Played ok, but wasn’t a whole lot of quality at times. Promising though, players really played they have completely bought into Jaissle

isa_ktly42d ago

Tough game to implement iraola's style.Though as liverpool fans we are left wondering can we keep up the intensity when opponents come at us like that, our players look soft

eoin42d ago

Newcastle looked great and were unlucky to lose It at the end. Plenty of positives though

jonathan.gorrie44d ago

Would love Miley in but I can't see him being rushed. Maybe Burn for Botman but again I'm not sure how ready he is.

james.brooke45d ago

About time!

dancoombs45d ago

Nice training ground but where are the players

♥ 1

jonathan.gorrie45d ago

Nice to have some proof that the owners still care. Nice to know that a training ground can’t go on strike to force a move away 😂

jonathan.gorrie46d ago

I think it’ll be Bergvall, which sums up what a mess our recruitment strategy is

dantowen8195148d ago

Like this. He’s been very highly rated for a long while. He can play both sides as well, which could prove really valuable

jonathan.gorrie53d ago

Volley vs Everton is the best thing I've ever seen live

jordan.harris55d ago

This is a blessing! No one rates Hojbjerg higher than Hojbjerg himself

jonathan.gorrie55d ago

I completely understand why Newcastle's downfall is funny to those who don't support the club but if anyone thinks this is rough, it's been so much worse before 😂

seanfisher55d ago

One positive for Newcastle is that they have emerged as a promising place for young players to improve... unfortunately that comes with a 'stepping stone' reputation, but they have brought in some exciting talents from Europe in the last decade

freddie55d ago

The energy the new gaffer is bringing! It was desperately needed last season and some of these players quite frankly need a kick up the backside! Also much lower expectations so hopefully can go out and play some nice football.

eoin56d ago

Hope to see newcastle back around the top 4 race, they have some rapid attackers and a solid back like. Reinvest in the midfield wisely and It could be a great season

jonny56d ago

I think it’s exciting because they don’t know what to expect, a different approach, exciting players and fresh ideas at the club

dantowen8195157d ago

Feels quite a damning loss this for the club - everyone knows Bruno would’ve happily retired at Newcastle if they’d matched his ambitions

freddie57d ago

Oh please! 🤣😭 This feels even faker now, he doesn’t care! https://x.com/brunoog97/status/2086047005982257156?s=46&t=qscFV4_pZ48tqKUJEjyDgQ

james.brooke58d ago

What is he supposed to say to be fair, nothing could get the fans back on side, but he has to say something. Shame the way it has ended, as he did seem like the one player who would see things out at Newcastle. Whatever happens, I think Newcastle still got his best years

jonathan.gorrie58d ago

I’m going to pretend I like it for experience and value.

freddie58d ago

If this happens it sums the state of the club up!! Replacing the best player with a bang average one. Need 2/3 midfielders to replace Bruno so the others better be higher quality!

dantowen8195159d ago

Woltemade I suspect was very happy to see Howe go

jonathan.gorrie59d ago

I cannot wait to see Osula this season. He’s so chaotic, I love it

dantowen8195159d ago

The Saudi link will obviously have people shaking their heads but Jaissle has achieved a lot in a pretty short career so far

jonathan.gorrie60d ago

Buzzing, let's go. Everything had gone stale and while I can't pretend there's nothing to worry about, we would have gone down had last season lasted any longer. Fresh start, hungry team and no huge dramas about players potentially leaving (Hall aside). HWTL

jonny60d ago

I won’t lie, hadn’t ever heard of this guy before. But he strikes me as a great appointment based on what I’ve read and his general demeanour. Looks the part, can he walk the walk?
