How would YOU grade Newcastle United's start to the 2026/27 season?

Let us know why below 👇

I’ll say a C - some very good performances to start off with but I think they’ve dipped recently. It’ll be a B when Toure and Pardo start firing

george.patten1w ago

Got to be a B. Looked like it could be an A, but it’s a bit shaky atm. Still a lot more positive than it was a few months back though

charlesjones1w ago

B. Decent enough but that loss to Leeds is alarm bells

callum_boyle1w ago

B. Jaissle came into a bit of a storm but has done alright. Some great performances but some ones that have caused concern. Think they should be happy with mid table/top half

jordan.harris1w ago

A- considering how bleak it was in the summer

chillout1w ago

Fans will be highly relieved after a summer of close to chaos. Jaissle wasn’t appointed until just 18 to the new season, there were a raft of core player departures, and rumours about further player departures. In other words, typical NUFC - but it’s clearly not all bad news on the pitch.

jamie.theodosi1w ago

B. I think the fact he’s quite a new and young manager he’s doing a good job, their squad took a huge hit but they’re still making it work as of now.

seanfisher1w ago

An A for me! There were genuine fears that Newcastle could be in a relegation battle after their disastrous summer but it has been a really promising start instead. Consistency is the biggest challenge though

eoin1w ago

B+ looks right to me , Jaissle looks a good coach. Lot of change but It seems to be coming together

markmarston1w ago

B - much better than expected tbf but at the same time, there are a few concerns creeping in. Mid table would be success this season

peter.lynch1w ago

A B for me! Nothing spectacular so far but I think they’ll be okay in the long run

amirmir1w ago

I would go B. Could have been much worse, given what happened in the summer. There is a lot of energy about the team, but so easy to play against, which is a worry right now.

wajulanre91w ago

B

callum_boyle1w ago

What would take it to an A?

tom.procter1w ago

I would say B(+). I feared for Newcastle given everything that happened in the summer. But Jaissle has navigated the transition period well

markmarston1w ago

His calmness in the media has really helped…. Defo reset the mood after a terrible window

jonathan.gorrie1w ago

I'm going for A. Not because I'm blown away by the football, but because after the summer we had, things could have been SO much worse.

dale.odonnell1w ago

With the summer thrown in, that is a very good shout, and dare I say Newcastle would be worse off if Howe was still in charge?

markmarston1w ago

I thought Newcastle may be in trouble and so far, they’ve shown they’ll be mid table I think
