Do you think Cam Young will win a major within the next two years?
And how many will he end up with by the time he's finished his career...
dond1d ago
My gut tells me he definitely has the potential, however (and I don’t have access to analytics) as I’ve watched him, he has moments when it all goes sideways. I’m not felling it over the next eight opportunities.
jordan.harris2d ago
Not sure the next two years, but once he wins one, I reckon the floodgates will open for him. Maybe the next Koepka…
chillout2d ago
No

Where do you rank Gary Player among the greatest golfers of all time
Player thinks he's the third-greatest golfer of all time...
pqhawkins2d ago
Woods - Hogan - Jack - Jones - Snead... Walter Hagen should be ahead of Player. Hagen is one of the most underrated players of all time. He was the first American to win The Open, and won it 4x. Five PGA Championships, and five Western Opens (which was like a major back then). He was a six time Ryder Cup captain, and won 11 majors.
bpwatson20254d ago
Id have to say 6th i know I'm going to get a lot of backlash but Nicholas Woods salinzer mclroy hogan player

Top 5 when you consider everything he did in world golf back in that ers

Which Presidents Cup players do you NOT want to see at the 2027 Ryder Cup? 👀
The Ryder Cup at Adare Manor is less than a year away! ⛳
dond5d ago
Wyndham Clark and Sam Burns. Wyndham exuded a great deal of enthusiasm and rah-rah which was nice to see. However at the end of the match he was 1-4. Burns is a likeable guy and a very good golfer. Yet he somehow reminds me of “always a bridesmaid, never a bride.”
deebsrose5d ago
Look, not everyone's game is cut out for match play. The Cups are a different beast than medal play..

From an American perspective I’m picking Henley, but the complete opposite is true for the Europeans haha. Get him on the plane to Ireland Jim

The year is 2030, how many majors has Jackson Koivun won?
The youngster was the only player to end the Presidents Cup unbeaten
dond1d ago
So the next three seasons? Not through 2030? I’d be incredibly surprised if he won a Major. Not taking anything away from this fine young man, but he’ll possibly have 12 attempts and while he’ll learn an awful lot, the competition and mental stress to beat the best in the world over a four day stretch is difficult to imagine. I certainly wish him luck.
antonymmartin847d ago
I doo ok believe that he’s an absolute superstar in the making. However, I reckon he will not have won any majors by the time 2030 rolls around. I do think he’ll end his career as a multiple major champion (maybe 4/5), but he is still so inexperienced
peter.lynch7d ago
I don’t think any tbh… such a difficult thing to achieve and still so young, but definitely one or two further down the line
Would Rory make your Top 10 golfers of all time list ? Name your Top 3.
bpwatson20254d ago
At the moment id say 4th but if he keeps fit etc his got a chance at least at 10 majors
donaghcorby19977d ago
Definitely in the post-Tiger era. Hard to say all time. Such a great athlete!
freddie7d ago
If we are basing it off who I have seen in my lifetime then probably!

Who will win the Presidents Cup and what will be the final score?
The Internationals need just five points for a historic victory!

USA win and turn it around
jamesshearman238d ago
I’m going for the dreaded tie. 15-15

What's the biggest mistake you think Brandt Snedeker has made in his role as Presidents Cup captain?
He's made some appalling calls...
thomaspadlo56d ago
Giving trump any credit
jamesshearman238d ago
Henley & Bridgeman went 0-2 in foursomes. That could be the difference
v9ydvryw6h8d ago
You should’ve picked Gary Woodland

Who would you partner with Scottie Scheffler for Team USA?
pinkpetal4239d ago
Collin Morikawa
jordan.harris9d ago
Gotterup would be fun as a partner for Scottie. But at this point, it really feels like he is having the same problems as Tiger
pattinsonrod09d ago
Xander for me, Scotty driving, X irons and S to putt first.

Who surprised you most with their performance on day one of the Presidents Cup?

Ryo Hisatsune! I didn’t fancy them to beat Young & Xander at all

Great shout on Fox. Could say Adam scott as well after his excellent form last week

How do you feel about Donald Trump coming to watch the Presidents Cup?
It seems he will be in attendance this weekend
johnverrall1110d ago
I think it’s always good publicly for the sport to have such a high profile figure in attendance
getjeffrey10d ago
He's a huge sports fan and has been since the 80s, publicly.
peter.lynch11d ago
Team USA will love it, and so will Trump… I couldn’t care less in all honesty! 😅

Who will be the leading scorer on each team at the Presidents Cup? 🤔
johnverrall1110d ago
JT & Tom Kim
peter.lynch12d ago
Let’s go Clark to have a blinder, and Fox to impress on the other side 🔥
jordan.harris13d ago
Think Scottie finally gets his act together in this event, while I reckon Min Woo Lee, Ryo Hisatsune and Nico Echavarria will lead the way for the Internationals

Did Brandt Snedeker make a mistake not picking J.J. Spaun for the Presidents Cup?
If so, who would you have left out instead?
mikewydragolfpro12d ago
Both Cantlay and JT are infinitely inferior to JJ Spaun. Jackson Koivun is a good pick, but we should have Spaun and Ryan Gerard instead of Cantlay and JT. That would be our best possible team. I love Sneds, but he dropped the ball a little on this one.
dond13d ago
I would have picked JJ over Cantlay. I understand Koivun as the “shiny new object” and to draw in more “newer, younger” eyes. But JJ is solid and a tough competitor. Cantlay’s putter has failed him noticeably this season and his notoriously slow play can have a profound effect on the flow of matches.

peter.lynch13d ago
Think the injury may have played a part, but he definitely should have been considered. Again though, it matters very little in this one- sided event, let him play for the international team! 😅

How concerned should we be about Jon Rahm?
He was +11 after two days at Wentworth 🫣
n2happy115d ago
Like all golfers, he is having a difficult time getting his game on track. He is having a mental downtime. What’s on his mind that is affecting his swing and making him play the way he does only he may know or he may not himself know. He’s been here before and fought through the demons. He can do it again.
♥ 1
donaghcorby199715d ago
It depends how he’s feeling physically, that will be the death knell. If it’s a mental issue, he can work through it.
antonymmartin8416d ago
Not too concerned just yet. He will know he made a massive mistake joining LIV Golf. Now the key for him will be playing well on the DP World Tour in 2027, getting his confidence back and then going again on the PGA Tour in 2028, if he is able to rejoin

Who was your standout performer at the Solheim Cup?
Europe secured a 15-13 victory in the Netherlands!
derek.hawkins4818d ago
I was more impressed with the efforts of the so called ' Rookies ' of the European team. Fabulous viewing from ' Down Under '.
jordan.harris21d ago
Has to be Linn Grant, from 0-4 to 4-0 this time, incredible performance!

Should Shane Lowry receive a punishment for his awful comments at the Irish Open?
Lowry suggested volunteers standing in the rough on 18 'deserved to get hit'...
terrycommane19d ago
Get over it get on with the game
conobrien1520d ago
He did shout 4. I saw it as a stupid joke no more no less. Clarification perhaps required, punishment no
kyle.archer22d ago
Shane Lowry should be made to be a volunteer for multiple junior tournaments.

What's the longest time it should take to play 18 holes?
Rounds at the Irish Open have taken MORE THAN SIX HOURS this week!
serentbob19d ago
I played an amateur tournament in France, it took so long 5 hours 30mins to be exact. I never played again. One guy left half way round saying it was lunch time.
knightinwhitesatin22d ago
My local course on Medal Sundays high handicappers were lucky if they got an early start time because the low handicappers finishing early would sign up themselves and other low handicappers for the next Medal Sunday taking all the early slots I only once got an early slot when I was with 2 others and got the first tee time
daviescallum4222d ago
6 hours is crazy. 4hr30mins max, 4hrs is the sweet spot

What do you make of the news that LIV Golf has now filed for bankruptcy?
LIV 1.0 looks to be officially dead...
daviescallum4222d ago
About time, it has been a long time coming.
jamesshearman2326d ago
I can’t lie I’m over this story now. LIV needs to call it a day!
antonymmartin8426d ago
We’ve known for a long time this was going to happen. Would love to get an honest answer from everyone involved with LIV if they would have done anything different, if given the chance to start again. I’m sure they wouldn’t be so bolshy trying to force it down fans’ throats

I’m going Lottie for Europe and Nelly for USA. Genuinely buzzing for Friday, gonna be a classic I reckon
jamesshearman2328d ago
It’ll be Charley for Europe and Nelly for USA - the two superstars ⭐️

I think Lottie Woad and Leona Maguire are going to be up there for Europe, and if it’s not Nelly, Lauren Coughlin for Team USA
What do you think about this stuff on whether Tiger Woods should be prohibited from driving a golf cart around a golf course following his driving ban ? Is this a real issue, woke nonsense or just Tiger-envy ? Is this a serious issue today - in Trump’s America ?
daviescallum4222d ago
Don’t know about that 😂cars are one thing, but golf carts is just daft
freddie31d ago
I also think he just needs help. This is like the 5th time he’s done something like this. Someone needs to seriously help him, rather than everyone piling in abuse on him

Would you have picked Ryan Gerard instead of Justin Thomas if you were Brandt Snedeker?
Justin Thomas' form over the past 18 months has been questionable...
donaghcorby199730d ago
I prefer Thomas personally. More of a big game player!
antonymmartin8431d ago
Huge pressuee on JT to perform now
bfrey5832631d ago
Yes. JT has not been a top player for a long time. Gerard could be a fixture on the teams. Give him the experience.

What do you think of Brandt Snedeker picking Jackson Koivun for the Presidents Cup?
How many points do you think the youngster will deliver at Medinah?
bfrey5832631d ago
Good pick. Going for the future. Same reason Gerard should have been picked over JT.
antonymmartin8432d ago
100 per cent the right move. The kid is a star and the PC will give him invaluable experience ahead of the Ryder Cup in ireland next year
jamesshearman2332d ago
Great pick! He’ll be a big part of USA teams for years to come

What did you make of Viktor Hovland avoiding a penalty at the Tour Championship?
The Norwegian appeared to brush the sand with his club during the final round...
bfrey5832631d ago
Another gutless PGA tour call.
taniles13132d ago
I watched the video and it wasn't clear that he had touched the sand. Just like replays in other sports, there has to be conclusive evidence to rule against the standing situation.
glennmwells33d ago
There was definitely an impression in the sand. I agree there’s a lot of scrutiny on these guys already, but he definitely grounded his club in the bunker. How can you not penalize him for that after some others called this year? Fair is fair. The worst part is that Viktor had to know he did it and didn’t call the penalty on himself! Questions his character.

What are your thoughts on the Tour Championship changing to match-play in 2028?
bfrey5832631d ago
Love it.. Tour Championship has become stale.
taniles13132d ago
It is supposed to be a round robin start to the event, so the top players will have multiple chances to reach the knockout round, no?
taniles13132d ago
Love the idea! Of course some fans won't be thrilled if a big name isn't in the final match, but if they haven't earned it, too bad.
Who will win this week at East Lake? 🤔
peter.lynch39d ago
Rory let’s see it 🏆
jordan.harris40d ago
East Lake is Xander country!
antonymmartin8441d ago
Scottie to dominate, if he’s recorded from hand foot and mouth 😂
Who is your Player of the Year right now?
taniles13132d ago
Unless Clark won the Tour Championshipto muddy the waters a bit, it was Scotty all the way with another record setting season despite only having 2 wins coming in.
peter.lynch34d ago
Gotta be Scottie, another crazy season 😮💨
jim.pt2134d ago
Scottie won FedEx cup championship. Three wins, 10 top 3s, countless top tens. Most consistent all year.
Which player do you think has had the best season in 2026?
taniles13132d ago
Scotty 1st, Clark 2nd because of his major win. Gotterup should have been in the conversation as well with his 3 wins.
jamesshearman2344d ago
Scottie has been the most consistent but he didn’t win a major. I would rather have had Rory’s season
walkercharlie82844d ago
I think Cam Young is being overlooked. Two amazing wins, second at The Open and in contention at the Masters.
Who is next to exit LIV ? Bryson would be a big win for the fans, but maybe not all his fellow players would be happy to see him back. Is a return likely, or is he destined for the DP World Tour and YouTube?
jamesshearman2346d ago
It seems likely that Hatton will follow his teammate Rahm back to the PGA Tour
walkercharlie82847d ago
LIV's new potential investors have strong ties to Bryson- he's not going anywhere
jordan.harris47d ago
I think Bryson will stay as long as there is a LIV. The size of his ego means he would rather be the star of a substandard league than be a small fish in the PGA Tour pond
How do you feel about Jon Rahm potentially returning to the PGA Tour?
tomnorris02743d ago
Couldn’t say i care less one way or the other. I really lost interest in all this since since Liv started oh I thought it was a bit Mickey Mouse Greg normally got out at the right time.

sschamm101545d ago
Sorry, meant to say, "Donate winning to charity for the first year only".
Who do you think were the ultimate winners and losers in the LIV saga ?
getjeffrey48d ago
There should be no punishment. LIV forced changes at the PGA, including a lot more prize money. Only old White farts like Chamblee wants to dole out punishments anymore. He's still pissed at the fact that his good ole boy's club had to modernize, to some extent. He'd perfer it was still 1945.
freddie48d ago
Was gonna say Rahm due to how much he pushed for it… but then see his bank account 🤑
kiemenjoe48d ago
I think its the fans who lost out on this whole debacle. All these tournaments we didnt get to see the best competing week in and week out

How many times do you think Scottie Scheffler will win in 2027?

Not at all he will be back as good as ever.
jamesshearman2349d ago
It was a dreadful performance but it wouldn’t surprise me if he’s okay next week and contends at the Tour Championship
walkercharlie82851d ago
Concerned for his golf? Absolutely. And in the long run I'm concerned for him. He wants to win majors, and he won't get anywhere playing this little. He must take this as a warning!

Scottie is on the decline and it will go back to being someone new every 6 months. I’ll go for Cam Young

jamesshearman2355d ago
He has a very good chance of winning one more. He only needs to have a one-off great putting week and he’ll be right up there
antonymmartin8455d ago
His best days are behind him. That said, you can never rule him out. If he manages to get into contention there aren’t many better at closing out
jordan.harris55d ago
Can never rule him out, but I think there’s quite a good chance that he doesn’t win another
What do you think the future holds for Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm after LIV Golf's announcement?
deveryneville53d ago
Who knows , although its interesting that DP Tour now advises that their agreement with Liv players who paid fines that it only applied to 2026, why was it never mentioned before?. I just want it over
gramorris60d ago
Depends how much money there is knocking about. I could see Bryson not being concerned about the reduction in events. Rahm depends what his exit clauses are

antonymmartin8465d ago
I fancy Charley to finally get over the line, her time is NOW!
If you had $1m, would you put it on Jordan Spieth missing or making the cut this week?
fontainemontblanc61d ago
Speith has lost the ability to play instinctively. He has over analyzed his game into the land of the average doubter. He will miss the cut and the playoff unless he begins again to play by instinct. He can begin by taking that circle of his ball.
jordan.harris67d ago
I think he probably makes the cut just because of how open Detroit is likely to be
walkercharlie82867d ago
I think spieth is consistent enough to make the cut often, just, but doesn't have four good rounds he can string together to contend. He's around the 30th best player in the world right now, so make.
What was the biggest error LIV Golf ever made?
michaeloc112625d ago
What do the Arabs know about golf??? money making racket and attracted the greedy in the game
plngervas67d ago
Greg Norman thought enrolling Rahm in 2023, at that time expected to dominate the world of golf for years, was a knock out blow for PGA and DPWT. Rahm had 18 wins including two majors, while Scotty just a fraction of those. Wrong decision that preceded the immediate rising and dominance of Scheffler and the death of LIV, just a poor exhibition league
getjeffrey68d ago
No one here seems to understand what the point of LIV Golf was, and that it has been a huge success. The point of LIV was to be a disruptor. To disrupt the PGA a stuffy, traditional organization. Who had because set in its old ways, trapped by its traditions and history. A monopolistic good ole boy's club who refused to change and had lost the younger demo.
