Did Brandt Snedeker make a mistake not picking J.J. Spaun for the Presidents Cup?
If so, who would you have left out instead?

Both Cantlay and JT are infinitely inferior to JJ Spaun. Jackson Koivun is a good pick, but we should have Spaun and Ryan Gerard instead of Cantlay and JT. That would be our best possible team. I love Sneds, but he dropped the ball a little on this one.

I would have picked JJ over Cantlay. I understand Koivun as the “shiny new object” and to draw in more “newer, younger” eyes. But JJ is solid and a tough competitor. Cantlay’s putter has failed him noticeably this season and his notoriously slow play can have a profound effect on the flow of matches.

Absolutely agree with this. What are the American team going to learn about Cantlay this week?

I completely agree. There’s no reason for Cantlay to be there. His record with Xander isn’t even that good

Think the injury may have played a part, but he definitely should have been considered. Again though, it matters very little in this one- sided event, let him play for the international team! 😅

He’s 100% got more of a claim than Cantlay, JT and even Koivun imo - although I do understand the latter two to an extent. Treatment of him seems bizarre too

Yes, I don’t understand why Patrick Cantlay is there at all. The only reason I was fine with JJ missing out initially was because it seemed like he was injured
