What moment from Valentino Rossi’s career gave you the most satisfaction?
Rossi takes the “greatest satisfaction” from introducing “so many” to MotoGP
skeletor5555574d ago
I think the 2004 win in South Africa when Rossi left Honda for Yamaha
kyle.archer74d ago
It is an obvious choice, but that final lap duel between Rossi and Lorenzo at the 2009 Catalan Grand Prix!

How would today's MotoGP riders fare against the 'Fantastic Five'?
Marquez, Rossi, Lorenzo, Pedrosa and Stoner make up the 'Fantastic Five'
david.comerford102d ago
The strength of the competition is definitely weaker overall but that's not a knock to Marquez. He won most of his titles against a historically talented grid
kyle.archer103d ago
If Fabio Quartararo had the Yamahas that Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi had, he would easily join the 'Aliens' of that era. Pedro Acosta with the right bike, too, would give them a tough time. But there are few others on the 2026 MotoGP grid who you would back convincingly.
tyler.rowlinson103d ago
I don't think there are many, but I reckon Acosta could give them a run for their money on equal machinery. Perhaps Bagnaia and Martin at their very best could also rival them

Of all 100 of Marc Marquez's victories, which one is his BEST?
ardashjoseph106d ago
Marc at 75% is still better than anyone (except maybe Acosta)at 100%
tyler.rowlinson117d ago
I’m going to say Aragon ‘24, his first win since 2021 and after all the surgeries and battles. Unreal moment

Marc Marquez's victory in the 2016 German Grand Prix was the Spaniard at his absolute best - dominating on a left-hand circuit after judging when to pit the best on a drying circuit

Marc Marquez is the first rider EVER to hit 100 wins and 100 poles, but is he better in qualifying or the race? 💯
aaditya.krishnamurthy117d ago
This season is an outlier, Marquez is Mr. Sunday, I back him on any race weekend even when out of form
david.comerford117d ago
Previously, I would have said qualifying, but I think the Ducati version is better on Sundays

What changes would you make to Fabio Quartararo's ideal MotoGP rider?
david.comerford124d ago
Martin's qualifying record lately makes him a questionable pick, even though Bezzecchi is more comfortable on the bike
If you remove the injuries, how many titles would Marc Marquez have won? 🏆
aaditya.krishnamurthy129d ago
I still maintain Marquez would have won in 2020 and 2021 if he wasn't dealing with his shoulder. Him being basically out let Mir and Quartararo get their own championship wins.

Will Francesco Bagnaia's record-breaking title comeback ever be beaten?
aaditya.krishnamurthy129d ago
Think about how insane Bagnaia's title win is. Marquez is currently 85 points behind, and no one is giving him a serious chance to make a comeback. So realistically, I can't see Pecco's record being broken any time soon!

david.comerford130d ago
Even when you go back to previous eras and adjust for the current points system, this record stands up. It will be extremely hard to beat
What is your favourite moment from Nicky Hayden in MotoGP?
Nine years on from the Kentucky Kid’s tragic passing, we’re celebrating the life of a MotoGP great 🇺🇸
aaditya.krishnamurthy136d ago
It's hard not to look back at his showing at Assen in 2006 and be amazed. A masterclass in grit and toughness as a MotoGP rider from Hayden!
ahambly23136d ago
His maiden victory in front of his home crowd at Laguna Seca certainly comes to mind. What a circuit to make your first trip to the top step of the podium!

What would have happened if Suzuki signed Valentino Rossi?
aaditya.krishnamurthy151d ago
I can't imagine why a team like Suzuki, who were trying to make a comeback, wouldn't just give at the time, one of the greatest riders of all time, what he wanted to join them? Perhaps some of their decision making is to blame for them not being in MotoGP anymore.
tyler.rowlinson153d ago
In hindsight you’d say Suzuki missed out big time. But looking at his time with Ducati, you do have to wonder if he would have adapted to their bike and been as successful as he was with Yamaha and Honda. He would’ve won races, but maybe not a championship

Marc Marquez was his “most nervous” the first time he tested on a Ducati – Does he have anything left to prove now?
andymedin55163d ago
Nonsense. He wants the records. He didn't sign for two more years for his health. JMO.
tyler.rowlinson165d ago
I think he'll go as long as his body allows. But he has said that he is not interested in beating Rossi and Agostini's titles, so in that sense, he has already proved what he needed to prove
aaditya.krishnamurthy165d ago
We might not think so, but a rider like Marquez doesn't get to the highest level without having an infinite drive to be the best. So while he doesn't have much left to prove, he will think otherwise, and keep going as long as he can.

Dani Pedrosa rules out another wildcard appearance, effectively ending his time in MotoGP - What is your favourite moment of his career?
hansmartin19629d ago
valencia 2012 was great, starting from pitlane and win 👍 vamos dani 😀

ahambly23166d ago
Not quite a highlight, but the King of Spain forcing him to shake hands with Jorge Lorenzo at Jerez in 2008 is a funny one to look back on. Can't imagine that will ever happen again.

Has Marc Marquez's longevity in MotoGP surprised you?
aaditya.krishnamurthy171d ago
Marquez is a different breed of rider, never seen anything like him when it comes to taking punishment over the years and still being on top
♥ 1
ahambly23172d ago
From a physicality point of view, it's a miracle that he can still ride a bike to the limit after all of his ordeals. His mental fortitude is equally as impressive.
david.comerford172d ago
Not convinced he's made of flesh and bone

Which MotoGP legend do you think could still win on today's grid? 👴
andymedin55209d ago
All of them if around same age.
tyler.rowlinson230d ago
I can't see any legend from the Rossi/Stoner/Lorenzo era jumping on today MotoGP bikes and winning straight away. However, with more time and development, I'd be interested to see how Lorenzo would hold up
kyle.archer230d ago
No legend from yesterday would immediately fight at the front of the 2026 MotoGP grid if they jumped onto one of the current bikes. But if given enough time to learn the ride height devices and adapt to the increased aero, then Casey Stoner would be an interesting candidate

Marquez, Rossi, Agostini, Doohan

Rossi, Marquez, Agostini, Doohan
What is your favourite bike from Valentino Rossi’s MotoGP career?
kucai36153d ago
Honda NSR500
Do you agree with Rossi's verdict on the Sepang clash with Marquez?
devenair68214d ago
It was clearly a deliberate act by a petulant Rossi. Every dog has his day and Rossi couldn't handle the fact that his day had gone. The biggest mistake Yamaha made was letting Lorenzo go as he was the only rider to beat Marquez and take a championship during that period.
shauncallaghan8262d ago
Their is no more aggressive rider than Rossi was, how many articles were they of him and his antics with other riders, yet he thinks he's been hard done by? How many championships has he hindered? and no I just think Marc was in the race for himself not Lorenzo,
True or False? Valentino Rossi was a better MotoGP rider than Marc Marquez.
andymedin55207d ago
Rossi was 14 yrs older than Marquez when Marc got promoted to MGP.
bob.kingdom258d ago
Vale made the sport mainstream open to all spectators with few exceptions before him Barry Sheen for one example it was a niche sport very second to F1 and most car racing, Vale made it the grand spectacle it is today I have no doubt the Marc is great Vale was transformational
♥ 1
shauncallaghan8262d ago
SAHell no, I think Rossi is like Pecco, yes a good rider but they suffer the same issue their bikes have to be set up perfect for them to perform what did Rossi do at Ducati nothing but blame the bike, but Marc like Stoner can ride anything and fast really natural riders,
♥ 1
Will Valentino Rossi and Marc Marquez ever speak to each other again?
skeletor5555588d ago
I think they will speak in the future, but Marc is fake, being all nice and saying he'll shake hands just to look good in front of the camera's.... Rossi doesn't care what the cameras think, he knows what happened, he knows he was robbed and that's that.
whatitdonephew88d ago
Marc said he'd shake his hand and has no problems. This is all Valentino. And that's the difference, Marc isn't just the greatest rider, he's a great champion with respect and integrity. Rossi is a myopic diva
shauncallaghan8262d ago
I think the childish Rossi and the even more childish and his aggressive rossista's need to suck it up and realise Marc has beaten him and his yes fantastic records, Marc is the new king 👑
What is the most iconic rider/team combination in MotoGP history?
nick145269d ago
Marc because he wasn't such a poor looser like the pasta eating boy.
ultimatevr46289d ago
VR46 will always be the GOAT!!!
shay.rogers292d ago
I'd say Yamaha and Rossi. It lasted so long
When will Marc Marquez beat Valentino Rossi's MotoGP records?
david.comerford292d ago
2027 (for wins), although he'll come close next year
shay.rogers293d ago
2028, one year after getting used to the new regulations, me thinks. Podiums might take a tad bit longer
Which battle between Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo was your favourite?
skeletor5555569d ago
Catalan GP 2009
shay.rogers293d ago
Last lap at Barcelona in 2009. It stands out clearly for me
kyle.archer297d ago
There can only be one answer: the 2009 Catalan Grand Prix. The last-lap duel between Rossi and Lorenzo is rightly remembered as one of, if not the greatest last-lap fights of all time.
Aside from Marc Marquez, who is Valentino Rossi's greatest MotoGP rival?
abhishekrm17289d ago
In terms of pure bitterness, Rossi v Biaggi edges it perhaps. But in terms of raw competition, Jorge Lorenzo was by far the toughest rival and teammate Rossi ever had to face in direct duels on track. Against Marquez, it felt like the off-track saga outweighed their battles.
shay.rogers293d ago
In a sense that from a competitive perspective, they were always close, I'd say Jorge Lorenzo. Outside of Yamaha, maybe Casey Stoner
kyle.archer297d ago
It has to be Max Biaggi - The two Italians forged one of the most bitter rivalries in world championship history, even when they were not sharing the same grid.
Which MotoGP rider - past or present - is the most fun to watch?
david.comerford297d ago
Pedro Acosta for me, he's electric
♥ 1
kyle.archer297d ago
In terms of being 'fun to watch', Franco Morbidelli is always an interesting rider to keep an eye on. You never really know what he's going to do next.
No Barry Sheene, ok he only achieved 2 World titles but this guy changed the sport. Everything we love about our Motogp today is down to Bazza. Boy would he have triumphed in the soon to be Liberty era.
david.comerford297d ago
The sport is going to need big personalities if it wants to grow
♥ 1
At the age of 71 ive had the privilege to see all of these guys on the track. T.B.H. I couldn't honestly put one rider above another. Everyone of them had to triumph over the opposing riders in their era. For me its the impact they had on the Fans in their time of competition. S
stevehubbard1954300d ago
The sound of Ago's MV getting louder by the second as he powered through the woods of the Ardennes forest at Spa Francochamp in 1972 jeez It still gives me goosebumps and then bang he was in full view as he braked hard for the hairpin at La Source ( no bus stop in those days )

shay.rogers301d ago
You’re privileged to have seen these guys live, man I wish!

david.comerford303d ago
When it comes to impact on fans, Rossi is surely out on his own

What do you make of Casey Stoner's verdict on Valentino Rossi's feud with Marc Marquez?
faizalkontrak2015281d ago
VR started it? BS!

shay.rogers304d ago
I agree, but I also struggle to understand why it carries on. Just forget about it and move on!

Who is the greatest rider never to win a MotoGP title?
james.rutherford297d ago
Pedrosa 100% He was always just so unlucky. Everything conspired against him.
shay.rogers304d ago
For me, it has to be Pedrosa. How he didn’t snatch one with Honda is beyond me
♥ 2
Who is the most underrated opponent Marc Marquez has faced?
david.comerford303d ago
Possibly Alex Marquez...
shay.rogers304d ago
Andrea Dovizioso for me. Came out of nowhere and really dragged that Ducati to places that it maybe shouldn’t have been!
Is Mick Doohan the greatest motorcycle racer born outside Europe?
shay.rogers304d ago
I don’t think it’s close tbh
Valentino Rossi on Barry Sheene
shay.rogers304d ago
You’d never see this nowadays. Amazing that it shows just how far the sport has progressed 😂
Why Casey Stoner retired from MotoGP at 27
david.comerford303d ago
Sport needs this kind of honesty
shay.rogers304d ago
Less physical damage, more family time. Who can really argue with him?
