I still maintain Marquez would have won in 2020 and 2021 if he wasn't dealing with his shoulder. Him being basically out let Mir and Quartararo get their own championship wins.

Honda probably lost a lot of their competitiveness because Marquez wasn't there to keep tweaking his bike every race weekend. You can see he gives a lot of input every time he goes back in the paddock. He can discern what is needed. He was never just a rider on whatever bike was given to him. He helped make his bike what he needed it to be.

Those could have been his greatest titles. Based on where his teammates were in 2018 and 2019, Lorenzo might have a point
