I think that Justin Gaethje should retire on top. He has had a more decorated career than any other lightweight on the planet. I think he should retire as undisputed champion. His career is a better story than any of the rocky movies and its a real life story that isnt make believe. He should go out as undisputed and what a way to end his legacy

John Anicks only quality is reading the q cards for commercials. He horrible at calling a fight in real time with his off time inflection of voice. He's not getting a seat in the hall of fame sports commentators with"one more sleep" " every fight begins on the feet". Howard Cosell would flip in his grave. So who cares what information Anick leaches& parrots
edmond808465d ago
Never been a fan. He has an annoying voice and a more annoying laugh.
Lets give the UFC fans what they want to see, just curious to see WHO the fans would pick for Justin next opponent- ny thoughts?
guygaudreau35824d ago
I woukd like to see Max
JUSTIN should do whatever JUSTIN wants to do since its JUSTINS career. Period. Everyone else can have an opinion, but it just doesn’t hold any weight 🤷🏽♂️
destructogainz65d ago
It's still his job, dummy. Sure he can not fight, or fight for an easy win... w/e but ultimately he is contracted and holds the belt. He'll do what he is told or retire.

Well… whatever his next move is… for the love of god do NOT let it be a rematch with Ilia or Oliveira!! Nobody wants to see Charles hump Justin for however many rounds like we all KNOW he’s gonna do, & everybody not on the ilia bandwagon knows he doesn’t deserve it after quitting the way he did.

No. He should fight Connor. He's earned the pay day.
guygaudreau35824d ago
Conner would get destroyed. It's not a fight
philosopher113083d ago
Oh good god… what is with you Conor 🍆riders & acting like he can just hop into the title conversation in whatever division he chooses? Honest question… Dude is now 1-4 in his past 5, all losses by stoppage, hasn’t fought in 5 years, & was fighting Max, a career FW, at WW… & somehow, in your delusional world, he should fight the current LW champ? 🤦🏽
He needs to run it back with Holloway after Holloway smokes McGreggor
destructogainz65d ago
Hell be retired by then.
gordonjriley65d ago
Love this 👍🏻✅🥋
Is this a serious question/debate or is this intended to be a joke? 17 million wwe fans tuned in to that circus and thats that. Was full of washed up fighters that could give a rats ass if they won or lost, as long as that paycheck landed in their account next day. A truly soulless event!!
steelcity897365d ago
They shoulda let Robelis humble Francis. That fight alone changes the card imo
am.mslaw102d ago
Washed up fighters ?!? IliaTopuria got beat down, but going into the fight he was the #2 PFP, two division champion and undefeated. Sounds like you went 5 rounds with Gaethje.
trailermade1998102d ago
Justin put on a clinic. Wtf are you talking about? 7 fights 7 finishes. Washed? You had an undefeated 17-0 on a 3 legend killstreak as the main event. A heavyweight fight where a man was trying to become the first 3 weight champion after wiping 2 other divisions. The only 2 "washed" fighters on the entire card were Michael Chandler and Derrick Lewis.

Justin showed the world his mma brilliance during this fight. He proved that even at his age, he still has that fire in his belly that he started when he first started mma and by no means is he over the hill like some thought. He has won more gold than any other lightweight fighter and he has done it all. Nothing left to do, he should retire wearing gold
dblock9540104d ago
If Justin has made smart decisions and Im sure he has, he already has made enough cash to live out the rest of his life in comfort and I guarantee they make a movie about Justin's legacy. Money wont be an issue and after putting his body through the torture its went through, I think he should retire while still in good health and on top of his game

He should do whatever he wants to do. He's my favourite fighter to watch, never boring. Glad he's going to fight again.
philosopher1130100d ago
That first sentence! That’s the one lol everyone online or people already retired tryna tell Justin what he “should do”… The man’s gonna do what he wants, & he’s earned that right 🤷🏽♂️

MVP MMA 1 vs UFC Freedom 250: Tell us which card you preferred and why. ⬇️
The rival MMA events both reached 17 million viewers at their peak. 🤯
pvadodaria100d ago
UFC Freedom 250 blows this out of the water.
jamie.theodosi104d ago
UFC card was better and was always going to be the case imo.
filipe.guedes.guimaraes104d ago
I believe the worldwide viewership was really different for both cards. Let’s wait for the numbers…
Should topuria retire after that absolute beatdown
kylejamessandy109d ago
Honestly nah he's still so young
He had a victory dinner the night before and had humble pie for dessert the next day🤣😂🤣

Justin showed the entire world just how good he really is. I think where Justin goes out every fight and puts it all on the line, he has had a few losses but dont get it twisted. Gaethje showed he was extremely dangerous and he also showed why you shouldn't ever count your opponent out before the fight. Justin just made legend status!

Where did Alex Pereira go wrong after losing his heavyweight debut?
'Poatan' is now in an awkward position after leaving light heavyweight
goheels2733024d ago
Excuses and the long term pouting instead of admitting he had a rough night and he'd work on it and come back stronger was a bummer for me. I didn't enjoy that side of Poaton. There was zero shame in losing to a natural HW with natural hw power and the elite striking to go with it. Not to mention Gane was on target that night
goodlowsghost64d ago
Pereira went directly to one of the top two guys instead of fighting someone with a lower rank, so he lost. I think he can beat some of the other guys in the top 15 at heavyweight, then drop back down to light heavyweight to become champion again and retire.
donmd71491d ago
I think light heavyweight was his sweet spot. Hoping he goes back there and rack up title defenses

After losing his belt and undefeated record, what's next for Ilia Topuria?
kingslandbungalow23d ago
McDonald's
nick00769w23d ago
Dude needs to stay in feather weight, Justin literally broke his face.
tamaz.margiani24d ago
Rigged fight a lot of questions about Gaethje, steroides, plastered tapes et.c. it was dirty game against Topuria.

Where does Freedom 250 rank among the greatest UFC events ever?
Joe Rogan labelled it the 'greatest night in combat sports history'
augustinejtrujillo22d ago
I would say Noche at the Sphere was #1 and Freedom #2.
notyoman61932d ago
UFC 1,2,3, and 4 was some of the best raw fights. No weight class,Only 2 rules, No Bitting or eye gouging. No time limit, the only ways to win was by knock out, Submission (tap out) or the corner threw in the towel. To bad Bruce Lee didn't live to see his vision become reality.

Up there my top 3 are: UFC Freedom 250, UFC 300, & UFC 217, but UFC 251 is a sleeper pick.

Should Justin Gaethje retire following his undisputed title win?🤔
On his third attempt, Justin Gaethje finally became the undisputed lightweight champion, pulling off one of the biggest upsets in combat sports history👏🏼
goheels2733024d ago
I hope he retires. Fighting Topuria again has no upside other than money which he doesn't need. An athlete couldnt write a better ending. Please retire. Hes by far my favorite btw
mike12yankees111d ago
He still has lots of gas in the tank
jordan.ellis111d ago
Too much money on the table for that. It's a nice story but now he can cash in as the best 155lb fighter on the planet.

Did Justin Gaethje pull off the biggest upset of all time? 😱
'The Highlight' stopped Ilia Topuria to finally become a UFC champion at the White House.
goheels2733024d ago
I honestly dont see it as an upset. I was worried for Justin, dont get me wrong, but Ive watched that kid his entire pro career and like Islam said, Justin is the real dog. I wouldn't say him beating anyone anywhere near his weight is an upset.
gordonjriley65d ago
Strickland against Izzy has got to be up there too.
bradj0082102d ago
No, I guess it was an upset...but how many times has he won as underdog now....is his age really a factor? Pimbletts face Topurias face , back to back? Cmon....I agree with let him McGregor, hes earned the payday, McGregor isnt beating Holloway tho.

What more does Sean O'Malley need to do to get a rematch with Petr Yan?
'Suga' ended Aiemann Zahabi's 7-fight win streak at UFC Freedom 250.
goheels2733024d ago
One of the best walk offs Ive ever seen. And he called it! Love that kid
pvadodaria100d ago
Yah, Merab at this point is not really that compelling.
augustinejtrujillo108d ago
I would not be disappointed if he got a title shot, but Merab is still probably more deserving.

Where does Michael Chandler go from here? 🤔
The long-time contender was KO'd by Mauricio Ruffy at UFC Freedom 250.
goheels2733024d ago
WWE
dugmoogle108d ago
if hes smart he retires , but realistically he has at least 3-4 more headline events to do with a possible macgregor matchup . headling ufc fight night guarntees a piece of the purse
axethetacs109d ago
Can't stand a fighter who is only in it for the money, dose not care if he loses and becomes a punching bag clown.

Name a UFC fighter who is more exciting than Diego Lopes.
The fan favorite featherweight delivered another brutal KO at the White House.
jluvmpenn52d ago
I will give you two names. Max and Justin! Any questions?
kyle.dimond111d ago
In terms of consistently exciting, I'd rank Gaethje and Poirier above him. There's a reason he's the UFC's go-to guy though.
harvey.leonard111d ago
Think Gaethje reminded us why he's top in Sunday's main event. But Lopes may just lead the 'best of the rest' category

Has Sean Strickland gone too far with his antics at UFC Freedom 250?
Middleweight champion Strickland could be facing a disorderly conduct charge for his behaviour at the Washington, DC fan fest
kyle.dimond111d ago
I don't think this is too bad to be honest. From what I can tell, it was just there being a lot of people who were excited to see him that caused some issues. Rare case of Strickland getting a pass.
jamie.theodosi112d ago
If he had a ticket to the fan zone then it shouldn’t be an issue. I can just imagine it was a security concern and that’s why he was taken out. Rare occasion where I think he maybe didn’t actually do anything wrong
jordan.ellis112d ago
I love it. He didn't cause any harm.
well tell him to stop running his mouth
krt197448112d ago
Lmao.. hard NOT to 😜 at all his Antics! 🤪

Josh Hokit wants to fight Alex Pereira after UFC Freedom 250, but could he actually beat 'Poatan'? 🤔
We want to hear your prediction for this potential clash of UFC White House stars!
edmond808445d ago
Hokit all day. He has a good chin, good striker and wrestler. When he gets Pereira off his feet, it's all over.
antonyjames469145d ago
Hokit will destroy pereira, he's all wrong for alex
cadillacboss145d ago
I would really like to hear some English from Alex. At least try, ya know hey? FVKN' SEND IT, PETER. Even if it's from Heaven!
Islam Makhachev and Ilya Topuria, I think this could be the only fight that the majority would accept. The most likely fighter who could not lose to the power and speed of Ilya's punches (without taking into account luck and unpreparedness) and win with wrestling techniques is Islam.

Sean Strickland is a badass. Best current Champion!

Pereira vs Gane should be the main event.
