Give away your age… what was your first Everton game? 👀
neilpurcell32h ago
Yes you’re right he was whistle happy , but he did tend to keep the cards in his pocket.
neilpurcell33h ago
In them days, the referees like jack taylor and clive Thomas would say get up and get on with it, you had to break their legs to get a yellow card 😭
neilpurcell33h ago
It was a dirty game, they had Tommy smith, thou shall not pass, and we had hard nut mickey Lyon’s, if that game was played today with VAR, it would have ended up five a side 😂

Which former Everton player would you add to the current team, and why? 🤔
It has to be a striker, right?
joycestephen0279h ago
Bob latchford
anthonybrabin1023h ago
Tim Cahill or graveson
daviescallum422d ago
Lukaku in a heartbeat, we've never replaced him, but Baines definitely up there too
♥ 1

Who is the most underrated Everton player of the Premier League era, and why? 🤔
kyle.dimond1d ago
I think most people rate Baines and Coleman but maybe not to the level where you’re talking about all-time great prem full backs and their consistency argues otherwise
daviescallum422d ago
I think Baines & Coleman, as a pair, are both so underrated. It feels like nobody outside of Everton actually realises how good they were? The best full backs in the league for a good 4-year period, both consistently up there for well over a decade

anthonymanley19562d ago
Bainsy was one of the best players to wear the blue shirt brillant defender brillant going forward and an expert free kick taker
♥ 2
Everton’s best striker in the PL era? Must have been a nightmare trying to defend against Lukaku
dantowen819513d ago
Don’t forget Yakubu!
♥ 1
williamsdave9594d ago
Gary Lineker he knew how to find the back of the net 💙
daviescallum424d ago
Yeah nobody even comes close. We’ve never even come close to replacing him sadly, DCL the best of a bad bunch. Hoping Barry can get somewhere near
♥ 1
If Mky is injured it might be the time for Noorgard to come in and Garner to play at the back in any case we need to keep the good start going just hope our lads get back fit
chrisstafford123412h ago
Garner plays left back for England i still think it's his best position we have a strong midfield once again Branthwaite gets over looked Tuckel does not seem to have confidence in him or is it he only puts in his favourites
daviescallum422d ago
Play Garner left back???
chrisstafford12344d ago
James Garner since his op has not been as sharp cannot drop Armstrong the youth and energy is needed hopefully Myk is ok if not jg could fit in it's great to look forward
Christian Norgaard finally back in full training for Everton! Will/should one of James Garner or Harrison Armstrong make way for him against Hull?
daviescallum424d ago
Don’t think they’ll rush him back. I think he could be so important for us though
♥ 1
markmarston5d ago
Can’t drop either of those two for me, but we know Moyes…. Armstrong will drop out at some stage I think
♥ 1

It's been a great start to the season for Everton so far, but which has been the best game and why?
The Toffees have four wins and three draws from the first seven games in all competitions 🔥
tom.procter5d ago
The show of character to take that point against United was great. Two absolutely brilliant goals and felt like a victory. The win over Preston in the Carabao was also impressive. A really good, professional job that night
♥ 1
daviescallum425d ago
Has to be United. Atmosphere inside the ground was great and that last minute goal, feel like it was a big moment especially considering it’s the least we deserved from that match
♥ 1
markmarston5d ago
I really enjoyed the United game. Didn’t win but a great performance off the back of a terrible window. Proper back against the wall mentality and came out swinging!
♥ 1
Get him lined up! “Former Newcastle boss Eddie Howe will not return to Premier League management with a lower or mid-ranked club such as Crystal Palace or Fulham and would want to take over at an underachieving big club. (Telegraph - subscription required)”
daviescallum425d ago
Couldn’t have described us more blatantly if they tried 🤣
Mykolenko misses Ukraine’s Nations League game with Georgia tonight with an unspecified injury. Manager Andrea Maldera said he has a problem and won’t be risked. Hopefully no lasting damage to one of Everton’s best players so far this season 🤞🏻
daviescallum425d ago
Him and Barry the two we can’t afford to get injured. Ironic given they both struggled last season!
♥ 1
gramorris6d ago
We’re just praying everyone comes back healthy. At least Barry isn’t on international duty
♥ 1
"I STILL CAN'T SAY WHAT I WANT TO SAY AS I DON'T WANT TO BE BRANDED AS SOMETHING I'M NOT!" Yes we played and we got the outcome needed! "BUT" there were only "2" winners last night "UEFA/FIFA" They should have acted earlier and avoided the excess pressure loaded onto a team of young men who play football!! I said we need to back JO'B so see a taste of why ⬇️

Everton have had plenty of players represent England, but who is the best and why? 👀
ajmiller17th5d ago
In my lifetime it would have to be Lineker, but Gazza played for Everton too, though as it was in the latter stages of his career he never played for England during that time. What about Leighton Baines or Phil Neville even, though he never played for England while at Everton. Yeah, think it's a toss up between Lineker, Picky and Baines during my lifetime
daviescallum426d ago
Alan Ball for sure, but Pickford in my lifetime. England’s greatest ever goalkeeper
charlesjones6d ago
Pickford genuinely up there at this point.
Who is the most influential player in Everton’s history and why ? Dixie Dean, Ball, Kendall, Harvey, Labone, Radcliffe, Southall, Baines must be contenders. Ferguson and Cahill outside bets ?
daviescallum426d ago
Howard Kendall for everything he did for Everton, easy for me 💙
♥ 2
tom.procter7d ago
Dixie Dean probably, but in my lifetime Pickford, without whom Everton likely wouldn’t be a Premier League club right now
♥ 3
freddie7d ago
Nobody saying 40 grand Seamus Coleman?
♥ 2
I really wish I could say what I want to say but I don't want to be branded as something I'm not like the ROI manager and players are being subjected to 😡😡😡 But what I can do is hope all Evertonians will get behind Jake O'Brien and his team mates over the next few weeks as if what's going on already is anything to go by they are going to need it!

Which Everton player has impressed you the most so far this season, and why?
diydadx603d ago
I think Myko has been excellent this season, so far. There are some good signs from a few of the younger players too. George has done well. We have had a proper look at Dibling and he is showing some positive signs.
♥ 1
daviescallum426d ago
George has surprised me, as has Barry, but having Branthwaite back changes everything. Armstrong impressing me loads too

jduffy5457d ago
Tyler Dibling
I don't know about anyone else but for me football is going down a very slippery slope and the more it slips the greater the stink grows 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
brogan10d ago
It’s certainly not what it was mate. I miss the late 2000s where you’d have to wait until match of the day to see the highlights 🤣

#STOPTHEGAME
@ptrckbennett more on Staveley here… 👀
ptrckbennett11d ago
Yep caught that earlier its a reminder that there are bigger and dare I say more important games being played far away from the pitch... I just hope it sorts itself out pretty soon💙💙💙

What do you make of these comments about The Friedkins from Tim Cahill? 👀
The Everton legend seemingly doesn't share many fans' frustrations at the moment...
daviescallum4211d ago
The notion that just because Moshiri failed means we should never ever try and be ambitious ever again is insulting. He was totally clueless, but he tried his best. It wouldn't take a miracle worker with a bit of cash to come in and turn things around. At the very least, it'd be nice to start without having to try and sell our best young talent since Barkley
daviescallum4211d ago
Really disappointing to hear from Tim. After the summer we've just endured, we're entitled to be asking questions.
harrybentley21811d ago

Tarky has the highest duel success rate (83%) of any PL player so far this season 👏🏻 Fair play to him, been really solid so far. What do you put his good start for Everton down to?
daviescallum4211d ago
Had a shaky first few games but looked great last couple matches, hopefully he can get back to his best alongside Branthwaite 🐐
♥ 1
peter.lynch12d ago
Thats very impressive 👏 committed and hungry, but Everton’s style definitely plays into him needing to constantly get into such battles 😅 but fair play nonetheless, doing his job well
♥ 2
Good to see James Garner back in the England squad. Maybe a chance to build that match sharpness a bit more ahead of returning to Everton. How much do we think he’ll feature? He hasn’t played in a competitive game for 🏴 yet…
anthonymanley195612d ago
its great for the player just dont need and injuries from a mickey mouse compertion

Hopefully its just a bit part he plays dont want him injured and agree hes not fully fit so really wish he wasnt there from an everton point of view

Very much deserved. An all rounder in that midfield. KDH and Hackney won't be far behind, even though Eng's midfield is stacked!

How would you rate Everton's start to the 2026/27 campaign?!

Always been a Barry fan, as there's more to his game than scoring and few youngsters score tons on Premiership entry. Is a risk of breaking him though, far too much weight on his shoulders - we should have 4 recognised forwards. Why not? Most others do. Good start this year, a lot will depend on Jan as first team lacks major back up - midfield good though!
You are David Moyes. What are you working on with the players during this three week international break 🤔
daviescallum4213d ago
Finishing. We’re creating enough and defending well.
♥ 1
There potentially could be very interesting times ahead with cash from Staveley and Boehly washing about the PL and TFG looking for investors! Xmas transfers will be really interesting with DMs contact being up in the summer and will the funds be there for him from TFG or others as the potential for a new manager may stall any major incomings for him🤔
ptrckbennett14d ago
Totally agree with everything on that but the horrible scary thing is that given the way TFG have shown how much they give a damn about us would they really give a second thought to any potential pay off???
♥ 1
markmarston14d ago
Oh gosh not Boehly mate! He’d fall out with Moyes within seconds. Totally different way of looking at footy those two
♥ 1
gramorris17d ago
I’m not sure we’d survive Boehly coming in and doing £800m negative net spend like he has at Chelsea and I’m not ready for Staveley to flog us to the next band of human rights abusers.
♥ 2
Reckon Braiden Graham gets any minutes in the Cup on Wednesday? 🤔
robi19d ago
No. He looks about 11 and weighs about 40kg he would be eaten alive by a Premier League/Championship defender. The kid looks a talent for sure but nowhere near physically ready yet imo
♥ 1
gramorris20d ago
No chance
tom.procter20d ago
Suspect not but feel like he could be on the bench like he was against United and Spurs. If Everton go a few goals up then maybe!
♥ 2
Jordan Pickford in the PL 100 club then 👏 Where do people reckon he finishes on the all-time clean sheets list? 🤔
jackgallagher20d ago
He'll be top 5
♥ 1
kyle.dimond20d ago
I think it kinda depends on how long he stays at Everton and whether they remain stable. Regardless of where he ends up, being on the list is a massive achievement
♥ 1
jonathan.gorrie20d ago
Top five I think! And England's best 'keeper ever surely (level with Banks)
After Illys cameo showing for City yesterday there is something I'm a little stumped on... Without retracing the entire "Disgusting Transfer Window" I can't figure this one out! "TFG" are obviously a successful investment group including Roma so surely they would have a better understanding of just how valuable Illy was, so why sell him so cheap?🤔
jmcveigh337912d ago
Illys good but we got good price.Hasnt been missed.Jack offers more.Cant see him being a regular starter at city
anthonymanley195620d ago
Did grealish comeing to everton have anything to do with the deal??
♥ 1
tom.procter21d ago
They practically gave him away didn’t they. Highly disappointing fee to receive when you consider the level of interest in him and seeing what some other wingers went for!

How are you feeling about Tyler Dibling's situation at Everton right now? 👀
Even Hayden Hackney is ahead of him at RW! 🤯

mordorhewrote19d ago
I watched Dibling in pre-season and he honestly didn't impress me at all. I still can't see what he has that convinced the powers-that-be in the club to pony £40m. I can only assume that he hasn't impressed DM in training either, otherwise he would surely have been given minutes to show exactly what he can do.

gramorris20d ago
Hoping he picks Wolves apart on Wednesday 🙏
I know it's match day and time for the "POSITIVENESS" to flow but... I was about to post this the other day but got side tracked... How are we feeling about the "PETITION" to remove "Mr. Kinnear" from his lofty position??? I know I'm "POSITIVE" about how I feel on the subject 🤫⬇️⬇️⬇️
ptrckbennett22d ago
Very true and the longer it stays that way the less both he and TFG will care and its more than obvious that's not a lot as it is 😡
brogan22d ago
Think a loss would see those numbers suddenly shoot up. Let’s be honest, he’s dodging a lot of criticism due to the results being good
ptrckbennett22d ago
https://c.org/7xfts59Whb
Wowwww. What is everyone’s thoughts on this then? 😬
robi23d ago
Fair comment. But I think the fans reaction was more aimed at management rather than the players. It was just frustration. Win today and it's a great start. UTFT

kmm.mace23d ago
I prefer people to tell it like it is, rather than bu11sh1t. The negative press & comments by fans could indeed have had an adverse affect on the current players. We have had bigger squads in the recent past, but not the quality we have now. Sometimes, small is beautiful! I understand exactly what KDH meant & I agree with him

ptrckbennett23d ago
Caught that earlier I think it really speaks volumes about where we're at and it's more than time for "EVERTONIANS EVERYWHERE" to get behind the lads on the grass now more than ever!!!! COYB💙💙💙

"Subject to us not taking up other opportunities that have been presented to our consortium in the wake of recent events over the past week" A segment from "Amanda Staveleys" statement following the failed West Ham deal... A little glimpse of hope possibly... maybe... hopefully!!!🤔💙
brogan23d ago
Interesting…
I know not strictly Everton *forgive me* but Christ this is getting messy 😬
daviescallum4222d ago
He should get out whilst he can. They’re a mess, I’d have him on a free if he gets out but only on a free
jordan.harris24d ago
I feel sorry for Richarlison. He hasn’t always conducted himself well, but I can’t believe RDZ doesn’t see any use for him considering his options
Just look at this from Hayden Hackney in Everton training 😮💨 that £25m fee is gonna end up looking like peanuts isn’t it?
daviescallum4222d ago
Think this’ll go down as one of our better signings in recent memory
brogan24d ago
Interested to see who starts on Saturday with Garner’s fitness in question

So we were "Going All Out" for Kofane during the last window and even "On the verge" of putting in "An Opening Bid of 43m" but "Regrettably" he decided to stay in Germany!!! ... FFS WHO ARE YOU TRYING TO KID??? Funny how all these "Stories" are coming out now isn't it 😡😡😡
ptrckbennett26d ago
The thing is Kofane is only a year into his contract and he is more than happy where he is as are the club🤔
brogan26d ago
Everything just left way too late, as per. Felt like there was never any real plan after they played hard ball for Hackney
talkingpointsfan26d ago
Interesting point!
Is it too soon to get back to the ugly reality? Xmas window is the target to fill some holes but are we expecting too much? A decent signing in that window is hard enough but add to that every club knows how desperate we are and the money needed will surely go through the roof! And worse is Kinnear will be doing the dealing and we know how that goes! ⬇️⬇️⬇️
markmarston26d ago
Yeah this is a good point mate, everyone knows the club have £40m kitty after the Balogun deal fell apart
daviescallum4226d ago
Yeah that United result can’t mask over how annoyed I still am by that window. Negligence at the highest level, and no way it gets fixed in January
tom.procter27d ago
You would hope that they’ll start laying the groundwork weeks before the window actually opens. It doesn’t have to be a struggle if they get their act together early. I accept that is a massive if though with this lot…
♥ 1
So as reported in the "Telegraph" today David Moyes has "NEVER" spoken to Dan Friedken! .... Says all there is to say really!!!😡
daviescallum4226d ago
So frustrating. Explains the entire mess of our window. The Friedkins obviously don’t care. Moyes with his hands tied behind his back
♥ 1
robi30d ago
Madness isn't it? How can you be aligned if the manager isn't even speaking to the owner 🫠
♥ 1
Getting rough for Richy out there. I know his chance to return has now passed but jeeeeezzzzz 😬
daviescallum4226d ago
If he rejected our proposal, he probs wanted more money. I wouldn’t bother going back for him in January. Look to the future, not the past
kmm.mace28d ago
Could we still bring him home in the January window? Given Kinnear & the Transfer prevention team have hopefully departed by then?
Just wondering if there is anyone our "Can't Recruit Anyone" team managed to not tick off in the window... even Bayern Munich now it seems with our so called pursuit of Sacha Bowe! 😡😡😡
brogan30d ago
Need to be careful with not ruining relationships with other clubs
Are the stars aligning? So West Ham have effectively stopped an ownership stake by Staveley which just might end up being a lifeline for us ... Maybe, possibly, hopefully 🤞
daviescallum4226d ago
I just want someone in charge with a bit of dough, a bit of sense, and who actually care about developing this football club. No more cowboys or businessmen looking to flip us
brogan30d ago
That seems like the stars are aligning mate. Good spot that
Well it looks like Richy will be getting his move to Turkey… can cross him off the list for January 🤦♂️
daviescallum4227d ago
Good, would've been a bad sentimental move anyway for us. Much rather us get someone similar physical profile to Barry to battle with him, and have Johnson or George to give us pace up front instead if ever needed
ajmiller17th31d ago
Think we dodged an expensive bullet there
♥ 1
ptrckbennett31d ago
As much as I hate to say it but the only possible hope I can pull from all of this (and I really hope it works out) is that we are at a stage where papering over the cracks just won't cut it anymore 🤞
Anyway.. I'm claiming 3/3 for my window predictions! Illy left for silly money including something to do with JG signing (I just can't figure out what yet). A RB was signed and was seemingly the prime target 🙈 and finally we won't replace those out to pasture this season until the next one as its going to take at least that to get back to where we were!! 🤞
brogan31d ago
Any early predictions for January? 🤣
markmarston31d ago
Well you called it spot on mate, unfortunately! The memo now is just get through the January in tact and then recruit aggressively… that’s the only way to make up for this mess. Let’s see if TFG really are committed…
