Now that the euphoria of our 2:2 'win' is subsiding, can we turn our attention to Brooks refereeing? How did 2 Everton players get booked before a United player. George was fouled twice ( bookable fouls), yet no sign of a card from Brooks. Is it just me, or is this Ref biased beyond belief every Everton game he is involved with?
daviescallum4223d ago
I was in the stadium and when Armstrong got booked right after Dalot should've been booked I thought my head was gonna explode, only for Dalot to get booked in the 2nd half. He should've been off! Joke of a ref, but then again, they all are
anthonymanley195626d ago
Not just referees biased premier leauge biased against everton

I had United mates complaining about the ref no less. They got some yellows, VAR said no and we scored 15 seconds over the time

It won’t surprise you, but here’s Simon Jordan sticking up for TFG… ✊
daviescallum4227d ago
He speaks fast and uses fancy language to convince the world he knows what he’s talking about. Exhausting to listen to sometimes when he makes his mind up on a topic and refuses to budge

I'm surprised anyone might be surprised by anything this ducking anchor has to say🤷

I just think he’s uneducated about what actually happened at Everton this summer, otherwise how can you have this viewpoint…
How’s everyone feeling today? Any overnight thoughts on the performance, updated expectations (at least until Jan)?
rod.5227d ago
Just waiting for George to be noticed by city and other clubs. How long do you think he’ll stay. Please don’t say it would be good for the lad what are we turning into another selling club like Palace & Bournemouth & the rest of the selling clubs.
daviescallum4227d ago
I’m feeling really positive, think staying unbeaten is important and the lads showed again they’re gonna dig deep this season. It’s slightly healed my fume after how the window ended, but still a way to go before that’s fully out of my mind
diydadx6027d ago
After a weekend watching our goals a thousand times. We look forward feeling more bouyant, than the end of the window left us feeling. We conceded too easily, we need to fix that. We showed we have options from the bench. Our subs did brilliantly and changed the game for us. Its a long season. I think we will need some fresh legs post christmas. Maybe a coup

Noticed Kinnear looking rather sheepish in the West Stand yesterday. Fair play for him having the balls to turn up. Thought he may have gone to ground given the TDD shambles 👀
daviescallum4228d ago
In the stadium they flashed him up on the big screen for like a second and he looked fuming. I reckon if they'd have left him up there any longer there'd have been booing for sure

markmarston28d ago
Was gonna say… fair play for showing up, didn’t expect that
BACKS TO THE WALL-GIVING EVERYTHING THEY HAD-DOWN BUT NEVER EVER OUT-PASSION-PRIDE-DETERMINATION-ONE TEAM-ONE CLUB-ONE PEOPLE!!! So plain to see for all yesterday what EFC really are! What we are "DESPITE" TFG and KINNEAR and "F**K sweet all because of them!!!!💙💙💙💙💙

Two absolutely cracking goals as well. Good to know that there’s players out there with the quality to pull something out of the hat

Yes Europe and/or a good cup run would be very nice this season (and provided we don't go down) if we put in displays like yesterday over the season I'll be a happy man!

Morning after, how’s everyone feeling on the back of yesterdays game? Think there’s a lot to be optimistic about ahead of Spurs!
daviescallum4228d ago
Can't stop watching that AMN goal. Has already paid back the £4m even if he never plays again!

Really weird talking about options in a squad of 18 outfield players but Hackney was different when he came on. It was a particular period of the match but he just looks forward every time, driving with the ball, passing, whatever, just direct
ajmiller17th26d ago
Grealish did well too given he had such a long lay off, hasn't really done any long term damage to his game, he had excellent movement and ideas against Man U.

daviescallum4228d ago
He actually came on and wanted to drive us forward. I like Garner but he's very sideways and backwards, hope Moyes keeps letting Hackney do his thing and doesn't coach it out of him
markmarston28d ago
He’s so good mate… his vision is probably best in the squad alongside KDH and Grealish. Opens up the game superbly with his passing doesn’t he 💙
Jarrad Branthwaite appreciation post. Thought he was a colossus at the back today. That moment just before half-time with the tackle on Cunha and block on Fernandes was amazing!
tom.procter27d ago
*Tackle on Rashford, not Cunha
daviescallum4228d ago
Those two blocks were so good, properly got the crowd going too. He transforms us when fit

Ainsley Maitland-Niles reflects on his first few days at Everton
daviescallum4227d ago
Good to hear, excited to see what he can really do with a run in the team. Would love to see him start a few games now, let Rohl maybe even have a run in midfield
ajmiller17th28d ago
Don't put him upfront, he got opportunity and scored with it because he wasn't upfront. Reminded me a bit of that goal (probably his last one) that Phil Neville blazed in for Everton when it came back out from goal area, hell of a shot, just like Maitland Niles one.
kmm.mace28d ago
Booom!! What a start for Ainsley. Put him up front instead of Barry next game!
Ainsley Maitland-Niles: “It's amazing. Everybody wants to start off like that" 💙👀
ajmiller17th28d ago
Don't they just, and he was blessed to actually pull off such a start

What does David Moyes need to take from the draw into next week vs Spurs? 🤔
anthonymanley195628d ago
George was brillant deff MOM barry was poor but wasnt on his own tarky mykelenko wernt up to scratch but good game fair result me thinks

kmm.mace28d ago
Barry was really poor today. And Jeez, he was up against Maguire, the donkey! I'd leave him off & give Charli & go. CF's don't have to be tall!!

tom.procter28d ago
Needs to start over Rohl next weekend. Would also look at bringing Grealish in for Johnson

Who takes your Man of the Match vote from that INCREDIBLE draw against Man United? 🔥
pete60blackdog26d ago
He was threat to there defence all game willing to take players on just needs to work on his tracking back ABIT and tackle ABIT more.
rod.5227d ago
What is the point of Grealish not starting, hasn’t he took the place of our best player in decades Iliman Ndiaye. Moyes has stated that he won’t be starting games WHY blooming NOT🤬

Hayden hackney ,changed the game

AINSLEY MAITLAND-NILES!!!! THAT'S HOW YOU INTRODUCE YOURSELF! [2-2]
From 30 yards out. AMN curls it into the top corner! What a goal!

GOAAAAAAALLLLLL - TYRIQUE GEORGE WITH THE EQUALISER!
An absolute rocket from the winger. His first goal for Everton! Around 10 mins to go... [1-1]

What did I say about starting the half in the same manner? So frustrating - great strike though

47' - And just like that Bryan Mbeumo gives Man United the lead. [0-1]
He drives past George and Mykolenko before firing into the far corner...
ronnienwilliams1327d ago
If we still had Idrissa or a fit Noorgard Mbeuno would not have scored that goal!
46' - Second half underway on Merseyside.
How do you see this one finishing?

Half-time - Goalless at the break. Everton really pushed for the lead towards the end of the half. [0-0]
What do the Blues need to change to get all three points?
anthonymanley195628d ago
Tarkygot to be droped to many mistakes hes past it

Rashford is tricky looking down the wing... would like to see Maitland Niles with Rohl just in front between him and Tarky
ptrckbennett28d ago
Thought we showed too much respect against a less than average side for the majority of the first half but looking really good towards the end... more front foot in the second half

What an effort by Jarrad Branthwaite to make that block and tackle at the end there! 👏
tom.procter28d ago
Superb defending. He has been rock-solid all half
♥ 1
43' - Great cross into the box, but Barry cannot find the target with his header. [0-0]
Should he have done better there?
calum_jones28d ago
Definitely got to hit the target there. No one to directly replace him if he’s having a bad game either
tom.procter28d ago
HAS to score
34' - Brennan Johnson the next in the book for a late challenge. [0-0]

28' - Everton still yet to test the Man United goalkeeper. [0-0]
