I think scarles orford earthy and kante could do a job for us
dean-murphy80d ago
Magassa and Kante yes the other 2 not so convinced. Didn’t tear up the grass as smaller clubs in lower leagues

On a scale of 1-10, how confident are YOU that Nuno leads us straight back up? 👀
Here's why I think we can learn NOTHING from his time at Wolves 👇
cumberworth5713d ago
He needs to address the goals against column, far too many. Simple fix is to play with 1 striker with Bowen and Solomon wide, a CDM - Alverez is the best in the division, which will allow more freedom for Engels and Mukasa to dictate play. Simples!
terrynorwood2494663d ago
1. With his negative and boring style of football he was responsible for taking us down. On the three friendlies there doesn't appear to much forward progress so if nothing changes we will struggle !
debham585072d ago
3. On some of Nuno's performances last season, I have little confidence he will get us back to the PL. He will do what Tuchel did with England in the WC, i.e. hit the front and then go defensive/negative.
Magassa and Kante should get chances in midfield, both absolutely good enough for the Championship, Pablo on the other hand isn’t up to it and would struggle to score goals for Southend, he simply cannot be anywhere near the team, Vipotnik is a good option! Nuno needs to change his negative tactics as to go up you need to score 90 goals plus!
jonathan.gorrie128d ago
How good could Kante be in the Champ? Could be huge for us
chillout128d ago

dantowen81951129d ago
Think Kante could be a revelation next season! If you look at Vipotnik’s stats, he massively overperformed his XG last season. Which, if you look at it positively, means he could hit 30 in a better team than Swansea
♥ 1
He must produce an proactive, attacking team and stop being over cautious, our aggressive Argentina Taty use the Frey Bentos and bring the beef, goals really!
chillout128d ago

dantowen81951130d ago
This is the key. Can he transition from ultra-pragmatic?

What do YOU make of Joe Cole's claims that West Ham snubbed Mourinho? 😵💫
anthosladomatos117d ago
Would never have fitted in with Sulli...the first signs of control...Jose would've walked.
kwaylen124d ago
Sullivan couldn’t afford his wages and certainly wouldn’t be able finance his transfer budget
charlesjones129d ago
He’s off to Real Madrid now so he won’t mind will he?

Nuno stays! Tell us how YOU are feeling about the big news!

Apart from all the ownership rubbish that is going on at the moment, I don't have confidence in NES at all. I don't believe he will see Christmas at WHU. WHU lead in matches and he goes on the defensive. Enough said.
kwaylen124d ago
I would like Craig Bellamy with ginger Collins as his assistant! That would put some fire in the dressing room!!!

chriswallis46124d ago
I think it could be good news providing his second in command stays as well because without him he tends to not have the courage of his convictions and reverts to safety mode.
Massive that Nuno is staying. Can he get us up on the first attempt?
chillout130d ago
He will be gone fairly quickly if the team struggles.

jonathan.gorrie131d ago
I hope so, mate. Yet, I fear that it's hard to judge what happened with Wolves. The man had Ruben Neves playing in the Champ! What do you think?
♥ 1
Keep nuno are you kidding with Scott jump ship Parker who went to the spuds last time we were relegated never allow him back even to sweep up
jonathan.gorrie131d ago
Can definitely see why Parker wouldn't be popular. Jury is out on Nuno for me - I just don't think we can compare what he did with Wolves in the Championship with us. He had a ridiculous team
razorwestham131d ago
I get that but nuno no thanks .
♥ 2
Yes Iraola. It's not even close. He's far superior to Nuno on all aspects - tactics, strategy, team building, psychology.
dale.odonnell131d ago
Iraola isn’t taking a job in the championship when AC Milan are looking for his services.
dantowen81951132d ago
I think the ship has sailed there unfortunately. He’s in talks with miln now
Or thomas frank
dantowen81951130d ago
This is a really interesting one. I struggle to look back how bad he was at Tottenham, although this would obviously be a very different job

Imagine YOU are in control! Who are you hiring to replace Nuno? 🤔
Tell us who and why below 👇
billyangelopoulos130d ago
ange postecoglou (p.s. im aussie) hahhahaha
vhealy14131d ago
costacoglu
cumberworth57131d ago
Defo not Nuno, too negative and tactics which have cost us in numerous games this season and he would keep Pablo who is simply useless! Don’t mind Parker but doesn’t keep you up, would prefer Bellamy as more passion and now maybe Thomas Frank who would trump those 2. Need to go into season with a squad capable of promotion so can’t sell everyone

If Nuno keeps us up, where does he sit among West Ham's BEST managers?
chillout131d ago
This hasn’t aged well.
dantowen81951155d ago
He deserves so much credit. Felt like we were dead and buried in January. I’d back him to take us forward and do a very Moyes-like job next season too

Andoni Iraola is LEAVING Bournemouth!
But would you swap Nuno for the Cherries boss?
alan.mayo51132d ago
Yes Iraola. It's not even close. He's far superior to Nuno on all aspects - tactics, strategy, team building, psychology.
reubengane5170d ago
Stick with Nuno he's worked hard as Manager and we can't throw that away.
♥ 1
pohlm58171d ago
Keeping Nuno survive or not. He got Wolves promotion, he got Forest to Europe he's a keeper.
♥ 1

Who is to blame for West Ham's SHOCKING set piece record?
17 goals conceded now 🤦♂️
reubengane5170d ago
It's obvious that we haven't worked hard enough on our training in defending set pieces and should put that right from the very beginning of the new season.
♥ 1
kwaylen194d ago
Sullivan likes the bear bones and won’t stump up the cash for anyone!
jamesshearman23196d ago
Why not hire a set piece coach!?
What would you say if Paco Jemez took Nuno's job?
ray.baxterct1951165d ago
If things go tits-up, pay the man loads, to get us back up pronto!
jo.hadland168d ago
Critisise manager tactics all you like, but having debates like this, when Nuno has done so much from a scary starting position, is just not politic or tactical. You know what Nuno, is like, very emotional, going over to his former players, after Forest game, etc. If he reads these threads, he'll get the hump and want to leave in the summer.
♥ 1
drtwarley172d ago
Just keep them both, they complement each other.
Finish this sentence! ⚒️
reubengane5170d ago
Agree with Daniel, Nuno would deserve stay as Manager if he keeps us up.
aadityak24248d ago
Carrick would be really good also because his experience playing under Moyes gives him an edge on how to transition the team into his style!
daniel.owen250d ago
Carrick could be a very good option. Although I'd rather Nuno stay and build on survival, presuming we stay up
Admired by Luis Enrique and loved by Pep Guardiola... 🇪🇸
dodkins2000249d ago
Could be a very good move
daniel.owen262d ago
Could be a real coup this. His mad football made him such an icon for a spell a decade ago. He might convince Nuno to release the handbrake a little
♥ 2
Such a tough decision, I’m normally against the current trend to sack a manager because he sneezed, but do I see Nuno getting out of this-no, from he’s experimenting v Leeds and Bournemouth, I don’t have a clue what he’s trying to do, still see this in his game management
daniel.owen267d ago
It's bizarre some of the decisions he's made. Why swap the full-backs around on the opposite wings? Why play Irving and Rodriguez? And then dropping Wilson, really weird as there's been no positives to come out of any of this
What ever manager they get in will be shafted by sullivan

I think we should keep Nuno, although I must say I find some of his decisons odd to say the least. But to bring a new mananger in now will disrupt the team again and we can't afford for that to happen. Things are bad enough as it is. The lads don't need even more upheaval.

If we sack Nuno who are we going to get to replace him 🤔 Oh yes another Sullivan freebie

4-4-2 4: - Диуф, Килман, Мавропанос, Аарон ВанБис.. 4: - Саммервилл, Фернандес, Пакета, Боуэн 2: - Тати, Пабло
reubengane5131d ago
We can't play 14 players!
Our defence just isn't good enough for the Premiership, we need to strengthen our defence and also give service to our strikers. Failure to give then service will mean they end up like Scamaca & the others we've had in the West Ham strikers graveyard.

evaKeep Nuno, Players are dreadful and have been for ages,no desire,no energy, not fit enough, would love to know their average running stats in a game. They should look at supposedly inferior teams like Brentford,Fulham and Sunderland and see the desire and effort that those team

Imagine you are Nuno - What is the FIRST thing you are doing to save your job?
moharris1958266d ago
How the lies just roll off of their greedy to tongues. Theres a clause in his contract that states he's only got so long before being sacked. How do they expect him to perform with that hanging over his head !!!
begenchmagtym267d ago
Успокоится и стараться навязать свою игру а не бояться проигрывать. Из-за боязни команда не могут сконцентрироваться
talan2011268d ago
l eteoiw htuoy eht YWhy do we sign experienced relegated managers if no good for previous clubs then why have them get rid of big time Charlie's who's agents will be now looking for their next club 7 year contract for kilman your having a laugh he will get paid come what may sad
the position west ham find themselves is not the first time .and removing nuno(should it be on the minds of management ) in my opinion is not the answer .we need all those players particularly the ones in the forest game to all work harder for each other and take there chances

We are abysmal but fans views seem clear, keep Nuno, SO if board do sack him yet again they will be alienating the majority of fans. New board needed. If we do go down, I think it may take a few seasons to turn it around.
moharris1958269d ago
hThe board need sacking immediately !!!! 1 MILLION %. Sullivan has said he won't sell unless his kid stays, and we all know what that means . He'll still have his fat, greedy fingers in the pie. We need to clear the rot completely. They've run this Club into the ground,
Absolutely dreadful, worst West ham Performance I have seen in years, no desire, no ability, no clue. Not even Jarod Bowen cares anymore. He won't be here next year. Someone has obviously put the fire out.
moharris1958269d ago
I think thats a bit harsh. Jarrod is as committed as he's ever been.
daniel.owen274d ago
Yeah, one of those where it felt like Wolves had five more players than we did. lost every duel and every second ball
If you could replace Nuno with one out-of-work manager, who are you picking?
moharris1958266d ago
I wouldn't . Nuno stsys !!!!

moharris1958269d ago
NONE OF THEM !!! THEY'RE OUT OF WORK FOR A REASON. JUST LOOK AT WHAT HAPPENED WITH POTTER !!!!

jhbrown4546269d ago
Big Ange as he is an attacking manger and we need to attack not to sit back and do f all it's a joke we have no spirit no west ham spirit what so ever it's a shame 😭😭😭
♥ 1
Nuno is the best manager West Ham have had in years, sacking him now would condemn West Ham championship football next season after all a new manager needs time to get the team settled down.
alanjarvis08273d ago
100% agree, Nuno has a fight to win matches, a fight to develop a winning team and a fight to bring in top players, he doesn't need a fight from the fans as well...lets get behind the Boss !
♥ 2
Imagine if Nuno were to be sacked...😮
kwaylen243d ago
Nuno has been making weird calls in naming the first eleven all season! It proves that he doesn’t know what a good player is he keeps picking kilman and mavropanos inspite of all the mistakes they’ve both made! He buys two forwards nobody has ever heard off for nearly £50m instead of buying Jon Duran who was available as he wants to leave turkey. And traore?
♥ 1
innercitymerchandising273d ago
Not playing to win is the same as playing to lose in today's fast paced Premier League. West Ham's board needs ro learn this once and for all, and make it Club policy to only hire front foot managers from now on.
worrelllee684273d ago
Klopp
Wow... 😲 How would YOU solve this problem at West Ham?
daniel.owen290d ago
Nuno's game management must improve. Stop taking off your attacking players when leading and inviting pressure.
♥ 2
TEN games into the Nuno era, how would you sum up his impact?
innercitymerchandising273d ago
He outright gave away 10 points with bizarre game management and personnel choices not even 10 yr old Hammers fans would make. He needs to be gone!
dodkins2000291d ago
Very good we have a chance of staying up Potter would have took us down
♥ 1
Summerville is out best outlet on the counter from deep. He also takes draws defenders away from the middle Should he start against Brighton? Yea, to get a foothold in the game and then take him off on 60 minutes if necessary
daniel.owen299d ago
You called that exactly right. Even if he missed those two one-v-ones, the fact is he has the speed to get there in the first place
Nuno Espirito Santo should risk starting Crysencio Summerville v Brighton. What do you make of his impact this season?
moharris1958269d ago
Although I agree that he has the pace, he won't take the shot !!! Ive seen it time and time again. He reminds me of kudas. He was EXACTLY the same. Both always looking for Bowen
daniel.owen290d ago
He'll come good. He constantly gets in the right positions
pranav.shahaney304d ago
Summerville offers an immense threat on the counter-attack. Even if fit enough to play 60 minutes, he needs to start.
