Apart from all the ownership rubbish that is going on at the moment, I don't have confidence in NES at all. I don't believe he will see Christmas at WHU. WHU lead in matches and he goes on the defensive. Enough said.

kwaylen4mo ago

I would like Craig Bellamy with ginger Collins as his assistant! That would put some fire in the dressing room!!!

chriswallis464mo ago

I think it could be good news providing his second in command stays as well because without him he tends to not have the courage of his convictions and reverts to safety mode.

moharris19584mo ago

I think he might be able to do it, but I also think a lot will depend on if Paco stays

peter.theflyingbadger4mo ago

Unless we have a strong squad The Championship is not going to be a push over...also I wonder if Nuno is the right person there

jamesshearman234mo ago

He won the Championship with Wolves so he knows what he’s doing

powellmike7294mo ago

Not happy with him staying, but who am I. I am just a family and wish nothing but the best for the hammers. I don't think he is the right man to get us back where we belong.

jamesshearman234mo ago

I understand your frustration with Nuno but he won the Championship with Wolves a few years ago. That’s some reason for optimism

mitchfarrow574mo ago

At last, good times coming

jonathan.gorrie4mo ago

Let's hope so, Mitch. Reckon we'll bounce straight back up?

terrynorwood249464mo ago

It's like having the captain of the Titanic in charge !

jonathan.gorrie4mo ago

Not a Nuno fan? I'm split on him!

reubengane54mo ago

Don't think he can do it without Paco, if we have a poor start he will be sacked.

jonathan.gorrie4mo ago

The good news is, it looks like Paco might stay now!

steveg76354mo ago

He'll get us straight back up ! Good news 👏

jonathan.gorrie4mo ago

Nice one, Steve! I could use some of that optimism right now 😂 So, Nuno's the man for you?

x29cdo4mo ago

It makes perfect sense. We need some stability, and the Championship will be a perfect opportunity to bring in the youngsters who weren't quite ready for the Premier League. I am feeling optimistic about next season, and have already renewed my season ticket. 😊⚒️🙏🏼

jonathan.gorrie4mo ago

Nice one! Love the optimism - think we could all use a bit of that. Which youngsters in the team are you hoping to see most?

brianbetteridge03084mo ago

He done right now he needs ti keep all the same team to get us back to the Premier league

lhicks7094mo ago

Sorry he needs to go he is a big part of us going down. Bad decisions made on pretty much every game

jonathan.gorrie4mo ago

That Newcastle result still winds me up now! Who would you replace him with though?

corksamlan4mo ago

he'll do the job providing he gets the support of the board

jonathan.gorrie4mo ago

Do you trust the board though? Forgive me for being a Grumpy Gus, I just lack so much faith 😂

ca-jenss4mo ago

He is not good enough...bad at making right decisions...needed help from departing Spaniard to understand that Big T have to play every time ! Scott Parker would be The Guy !

reubengane54mo ago

Mate, I agree 100%

jonathan.gorrie4mo ago

I agree, I think the jury is out on Nuno. Does Parker's Spurs past not play a part though? Seems quite unpopular among some!

danny.landon924mo ago

I can’t believe all the support for Nuno, he has been so poor. Paco is leaving so he will really struggle without him as they only improved when he arrived at the club to help out.

jonathan.gorrie4mo ago

Hope Paco stays after all! Agreed on Nuno - I think he genuinely lost us points despite some good work

nickdomjan4mo ago

Corberon as coach, Archie Brown and Alberto Costa as wingbacks.

jonathan.gorrie4mo ago

That the way you'd go? MIght struggle to get Archie Brown at this rate though

vhealy144mo ago

very positive .lets hope some will stay .

jonathan.gorrie4mo ago

Who are you most wanting to keep?

malcrf4mo ago

The sensible option. Now let´s hope our squad does not get gutted!

jonathan.gorrie4mo ago

Let's hope! Who would you keep?

james.brooke4mo ago

Amazed anyone is saying this is the wrong choice. Clearly the right decision. Will go up comfortably

dantowen819514mo ago

A lot depends on what the squad looks like though. Fernandes, Summerville, Diouf, Disasi going, possibly Mavropanos, Soucek and Bowen too

jamie.brown824mo ago

Given the way he dominated the Championship with Wolves, I think he can do the same with West Ham!

jo.hadland4mo ago

The other teams at the bottom, like Forest, were playing so well. Nuno had a lot to do. The time when we were shipping multiple goals per match, was the low point. Potter, bless him, had played some weird system in defence, so that strikers were not being marked. Under Nuno, and with January purchases, all was made solid. We just lacked a regular goal scorer

jamesshearman234mo ago

You reckon Taty will stay and score loads in the Championship?

biggsbloke4mo ago

I'm pleased he's staying, hope the faithful can get behind him, and stop the negativity surrounding the club

dantowen819514mo ago

Gives us some consistency at least! You’d suspect we can start planning the squad a bit earlier now

brianbetteridge03084mo ago

Great news now nuno needs to keep the same team as this team can get west ham straight back up

jamesshearman234mo ago

Fernandes, Disasi, Wan-Bissaka & Summerville will be off. Hopefully most of the others stay

amandasmith84mo ago

Yes so glad he is staying

jonathan.gorrie4mo ago

Reckon he's going to take us back up?

eoin4mo ago

Going straight back up with him, he's had wolves and forest competing for Europe think he can do it here too

willmesher4mo ago

Look he made mistakes but soon as he arrived he made changes we all wanted first game i believe hes capable of getting us back to the Prem next year but he will need to adapt and sign more hard hitting players especially in defence

dantowen819514mo ago

I just wish he hadn’t messed around with Irving over Fernandes, Scarles at RB, Paqueta up top

john.qlink4mo ago

Let's hope he ditches the negative football and plays attacking football, because for of defence is attack attack attack. We need to get behind him & the players. Remember we are West Ham, West ham United. Forward & Onwards.

reubengane54mo ago

Agree 100% John.

dantowen819514mo ago

100%. He’ll have no choice but to be more proactive in the Champ. I think Potts could be key given how smooth he is on the ball

spencerparis84mo ago

Made mistakes that's for sure, but we did play better when he came in, give him a chance

jamesshearman234mo ago

Can't argue with that. He should have what it takes to finish top two, especially if Bowen stays

callum_boyle4mo ago

Massive risk. Got Wolves out the division but anything lower than first would have been criminal with the players he had. If he doesn’t start well and gets sacked it’s a massive waste

dantowen819514mo ago

Wolves did come 15th the year before though. As great as Neves and Jota were, Nuno still elevated a lot of others to career-high levels

freddie4mo ago

Great choice in terms of his pedigree, but bad choice given that the majority of fans have turned on him. Not sure it’s going to end well because that…

jamesshearman234mo ago

Great point. How often does a manager come back from losing the dressing room and the fans?

cpaynter774mo ago

There are numerous bad points to highlight on this season, by the end of january we were written of along with Burnley and wolves, by the end of the season we were 1 more win away from safety. Our run in finished us off, Losing to Brentford Arsenal and Then Newcastle were the nails thst sealed our coffin.

dantowen819514mo ago

Weirdly, we probably should have got something out of both Arsenal and Brentford, despite the scoreline in the latter. I blame Nuno for his awful start but also think we’d have survived if he’d started the season

dodkins20004mo ago

I think with Nuno & Taty we can finish as Champions

yogitedmax4mo ago

Great for us. If we keep Bowen and Souchek we are certs to come straight back up. Bring in the kids helping to build for the future.

chillout4mo ago

I don’t think him staying is going to keep players like those two

freddie4mo ago

Can see Bowen staying, don’t think Soucek tho. But deffo have enough to come straight back up, will be a big shock if they don’t!

jonathan.gorrie4mo ago

No one else think it's impossible to judge Nuno in the Champ? He had a super team at Wolves and is unlikely to get that with us.

dantowen819514mo ago

He had some top players but also developed plenty of others beyond all recognition - Coady, Doherty, Saiss, and Jota was nowhere near the finished article at the time

will.butcher4mo ago

Good decision! Done it before, ruthless - which west ham will need this summer - and demanding.

amirmir4mo ago

Mistake. Those opening matches are crucial. Any type of slow start and it will become toxic very quickly!

chillout4mo ago

If he is gonna fail, fail early.

dale.odonnell4mo ago

I think this is a huge positive for West Ham. Nuno has shown in the past he can get a team promoted from the Championship, which is what the Hammers need right now.

chillout4mo ago

Maybe he stays because they can’t afford to get rid of him.

nazarioassad4mo ago

Agreed, stability is needed for the Hammers and Nuno can provide that next season
