Manchester United vs Bournemouth - Premier League

People are defending Carrick cos his an English man but non of really complain when it was Amorim. You are blaming the players for not performing. These players are not fit, without being told you can see it. Imagine Carrick rubbishing pressing and intensity in football, saying you can win matches without pressing come on
dale.odonnell9d ago
I’m not English either, so that’s irrelevant.
niko10d ago
I'm not an Englishman, and I'm defending Carrick who is a United great. I wish Ratcliffe will not superimpose failure on Carrick. Give him the tools to perform - 2 strong central defenders, and 2 strong strikers to feed off Fernandez, Rashford, Cunha, Mbuemo, Mainoo's labour in midfield and wings to turn into goals and watch United spring. Or bugger off!
dancoombs10d ago
Carrick has respect because of what he achieved at the club as a player. That will always be there. There is no way to undercut that. When it comes to tactics etc, it’s clear he has come up short, and he has been unable to inspire the dressing room. I think it is time to go
Let Carrick go
niko10d ago
No. Let Carrick stay and give him players he needs. Fernandez and the other players are frustrated by Ratcliffe's penny pinching tactics and wrong decision making. United has been turned into a slaughter slab for great players and managers. No wnder they don't want to come. But Carrick is committed to do a good job and should be encouraged.
deansexton4611d ago
and let us turn into Chelsea
Was Michael Carrick right to bench Bruno Fernandes vs Bournemouth?
United lost the game 3-0... do you still agree with the decision not to give Bruno ANY minutes?

ericisgod669d ago
He deserved to be dropped but not humiliated. Why bench him then get him to warm up then leave him out. This smells more like SJR. Though if thats true then Carrick is yellow for not saying no. If they left him out it was right bench him till 60-65 min that would be right but they were wrong to treat him the way they did
barryroberts7210d ago
Carrick was spot on to drop Bruno to the bench it doesn't matter who you are, there isn't any player "bigger than the club" Fergie did it with Beckham & Keane. Players seem to forget that they were bought to play for the club, to wear the shirt, it's the club that pays them the big wages, not Carrick.
willysauti510d ago
Bruno deserved to be dropped never the less his assessment of Man Utd's tactical approach was spot on...
Manchester United BEATEN 3-0 at home to Bournemouth - Is it all OVER for Michael Carrick?
How much longer can Carrick last? Which players let United down?

adam.duffield11d ago
Let him go!
niko9d ago
He stays!
hann11d ago
Yep, time to move on! 👋
davecarey2811d ago
I’ve always said whatever’s happening at the top of the club always filters down onto the pitch, and what we’re seeing on the pitch is because of what’s happening all over the rest of the club. Not my words for once Alan Shearer is right!
ericjsmithesq11d ago
As I was taught in business, many moons ago now......... Always trim from the top of the tree.
mahomediyoop12d ago
Same old story at United. Managers come and managers go. It's nothing new. The Glazers are responsible for everything that's going on at United. Having new owners like how Man city and Newcastle has will make things change for the better.
ericjsmithesq11d ago
Oh yes, like the situation at Citeh has really improved since the new owners turned up.....Also, don't forget, we had 7 good years (I think it was seven)with the Glazers, until 2013
Evanilson scores for Bournemouth 0-3 71'

markmarston12d ago
Carrick looks broken… feel for him. He’s not good enough but he’s been let down badly by these players
stephenjholmes112d ago
Bollocks. He is the manager/head coach. He has created this sh*t-show.
george.patten12d ago
Was never the right appointment. Literally copy and paste of what happened with Ole. Owners have a lot to answer for
george.patten12d ago
Great finish that. Lamens had a stinker there. Where does Carrick and Man Utd go from here
stephenjholmes112d ago
The dole office!
IN: Lisandro Martínez OUT: Ayden Heaven 65'
stephenjholmes112d ago
Hold on, we are losing and need goals, so let's go all out Amorin and change a defender for another defender. That will sort it out!
geldroper12d ago
What is wrong with De Light. And Lacey for Amad would make sense. But his baby Martinez goes in, typical Carrick. I really hope he gets fired today
FFS what did he say to them at HT?! Come out even more of a shambles
paulrayner65312d ago
If the men showed 10% of the fight, passion and never say die attitude that the women showed today against City then we would be top 4 easily. If we sack Carrick and become a laughing stock again, we could do a lot worse than look at what Eva Olid has done with the women in a couple of months. At least the women and the U21s and U18s are worth watching now.
ericisgod6612d ago
I really believe Carrick would have brought fernandes on 60th min let him prove himself. Benched told to warm up to come on then sat back down benched whole game is INEOS i bet a thousand pouns
epi2media12d ago
We can hire the best manager in the world, but these players r just terrible. Man U needs to clear out the rut and reset: mass clear out and inject new blood!
Bournemouth fans singing ‘sacked in the morning’ and ‘your going down with city’ Are we in a position to argue with either at this point? This is just awful
stephenjholmes112d ago
Still no Lacey!
dancoombs12d ago
Gotta bring Zirkzee on first 🤔
stephenjholmes112d ago
Not being funny, but are you sure it's not the United fans singing it? We are going down under the current shower!
vatsal12d ago
Read somewhere that Utd's biggest concern should be City finishing above us despite a points deduction and that's becoming a scarily likely possibility.
stephenjholmes112d ago
Not being funny but United will struggle to reach 30 points if nothing changes, so even with a 50 point deduction City will be ahead of us!
Manchester United 0–2 Bournemouth
Manchester United are behind going in to the break
dale.odonnell12d ago
Non-existent build-up play and can’t defend. This is rubbish.
geldroper12d ago
Carrick has no idea. Ashamed to say I was afan for him to become our coach. Who would want him after this, maybe sec division
geldroper12d ago
Onesided referee is not helping , why heaven got a yellow catd is shows the referee true colors. No faul and therefor no goal but the referee got his way
adnan.riaz12d ago
Don't even think the ref is the worse part of this game. We're playing so bad and it's heartbreaking to see.
ericisgod6612d ago
Well of all the hats in the ring id say Howe fits their bill. Available cheap and can make clay from shit
adnan.riaz12d ago
Man, I don't even think he could save us at this point. Quite truly diabolical the state that any manager walks into now.
geldroper12d ago
Think Howe is a better fit then Conte. Conte is all kind of trouble wherever he goes
mohan1831012d ago
What he will also do with this inept board & players who don't recruit corect players at all. If i would have been howe build something from u18 or u21 players instead of relying on some of the senior players. A new beginning at least
dancoombs12d ago
We will be after Sam Allardyce at this rate
M. Tavernier scores for Bournemouth 0-2 43'

geldroper12d ago
We should have fixed our defense first becuase they are already bad for years
gideonfran199112d ago
Did you know if Bruno is the bad luck to man u
mohan1831012d ago
Bruno should refuse to come & play , also he should refuse to sign a new contract go to some other top team & win trophies & let Manutd compete with relegation threatened team to see who gets relegated first.
Rayan scores for Bournemouth 0-1 38'

vatsal12d ago
Never lost in PL while leading at half-time. The record stays intact. Pop the champagne.
geldroper12d ago
Watching the game and is clear we playing against 12 men. The referee has only one thing in his mind. Everything against man U , that is the goal of the day
dancoombs12d ago
We getting nothing from this ref today
dancoombs12d ago
Bournemouth have been the better team. Deserved lead. Sadly
Where is the marking?!
stephenjholmes112d ago
Just been listening to Carragher and Ashley Young. Young is honest enough to say, but Carragher just wants to play the other people who haven't performed all season. They are all clueless, uneducated idiots. That's why they aren't managers. They probably couldn't spell manager.
stephenjholmes112d ago
It is Como in reverse. Lacey will get the last 10 minutes when we are loosing 4-0.
dancoombs12d ago
He should be on for Amad
ericisgod6612d ago
One of THE WORST performances ive ever seen
Yellow card for Ayden Heaven! 37'
geldroper12d ago
For what? he didn't touch anybody but leave it to the referee
adnan.riaz12d ago
He would have been sent off if contact had been made. Terrible tackle from him. He should know better.
Good defending from Yoro to prevent a goal I still feel we are lacking any real threat up front without a proper centre forward
epi2media12d ago
This team is trained to pass backwards only. Every player always looks backwards - astonishing!
epi2media12d ago
Tielem. is not fit. And our frontline is just blunt. I think Yoro and Heaven are great players.
mohan1831012d ago
I believe we have been carrying dead weight players for far too long for a team who aspires to be at very top. The reason we are keeping is simple as to bring solid replacement we would need to shell more cash which our board wouldn't approve & when they approve it's for mediocore overpaid players.
mohan1831012d ago
Keep on playing backwards, sidewards when in possession, give ball to opposition players under pressure in dangerous areas. that's our grand plan it seems.👏
dancoombs12d ago
We are playing our way into trouble
We're underway at Old Trafford
adnan.riaz12d ago
Praying to any and all Gods for a win today. Come on, YOU REDS!

Kroupi back on the bench for Bournemouth for the first time this season. Got to be wary of Rayan starting too, this won’t be easy…
ericisgod6612d ago
This is dreadful
dancoombs12d ago
Dire so far isn’t it. I didn’t even realise Tielemans was on the pitch until that recent foul
ericisgod6612d ago
This is poor. No interest. No idea no leader....no good
dancoombs12d ago
Too much passing around at the back for my liking
thompsonadebisi5112d ago
Look at the idiot that £70M was paid for, I can't believe this
Bruno Fernandes DROPPED! What do you make of the XI Carrick has chosen? 😳
adnan.riaz12d ago
Best decision that Carrick has made in dropping Bruno. My respect level has gone up 1,000 times for him right now.
gls4manu12d ago
If we do not win this game the "R" word will be front and center of conversation. Let us hope that the defense can avoid conceding a goal in the first 5 minutes.
adnan.riaz12d ago
'R' word? 🤔
stephenjholmes112d ago
This will be another resounding loss. Expect to concede at least 3 today. Michael will be brave when we are 3 down in the 85th minute, and introduce Lacey. I expect a similar result to Como. Unfortunately it will be the away team taking the points.
adnan.riaz12d ago
Fingers crossed that the result actually goes positive for Man United. So much riding on the line right now.
epi2media12d ago
Honestly, I really thought Amorin's time was the lowest any manager can take Utd. But to be underdogs to Bournemouth?
vatsal12d ago
And what's up with poor Amass coming out of the squad altogether? Mazraoui stays on the bench after that abomination but he didn't like those 15 minutes from Amass?
Lisandro Martínez arrives
geldroper12d ago
He is going to play him you see and will show nothing.
ericisgod6612d ago
Bring fernandes on. He needs to prove himself to us
adnan.riaz12d ago
Great to see him back. Hope he gets some minutes today.
Manchester United's predicted XI vs Bournemouth 👀 What changes would you make?
dale.odonnell12d ago
Looks like we were only wrong on Fernandes!
mgasparovsky12d ago
Tielemans, rashford and Bruno have been horrible every game. Martinez also. Just don't give them playing time any more until they deserve it
stephenjholmes112d ago
You forgot to add Dalot to your list!
mgasparovsky12d ago
Give young players chance to play. Bruno out
Maguire, Yoro, Heaven, De Ligt: Which two CBs should Carrick start against Bournemouth? 🤔
mzorens220912d ago
MAGUIRE _ DE LIGT PERFECT MATCH TO START DE GAME FOR GARRICK.DEY CAN ALSO SCORE SET PIECES👍
dale.odonnell13d ago
Yoro has to be a certainty at this rate.
stephenjholmes113d ago
Heeaven and De Lict. Yoro at rb and Harry Amass at lb.
Michael Carrick wants to rediscover last season's form
geldroper12d ago
Every coach was once a player so that is the only way. But a good player is not always a good coach , example Rooney and looks like Carrick. You have to have vision
thetruthpersonified13d ago
Lets again be clear. We were still awful to watch last season. We fans have short memories in that we remember points and goals and forget the style. I remember going to West Ham away and we salvaged a point in last minute. The match was woeful, we were clueless. We are now witnessing a continuation of that style, but with no Casemiro. Wretched.
stephenjholmes113d ago
I will take awful to watch if it means we don't loose. We need to be back to basics. Defend as a unit, and get clean sheets. That way you can start to build confidence. Winning is a natural next step from there!
stephenjholmes113d ago
Well he clearly doesn't know what it takes to win ANY games at the moment. He keeps regurgitating the same garbage but expecting different results.
Michael Carrick on whether he spoke to Bruno Fernandes
jonny14d ago
What is there to say? Fabregas agreed with Bruno and said that’s how they exploited United
nrobbo6413d ago
Can't press with Bruno in the team he has no discipline
adnan.riaz14d ago
Big energy...

Michael Carrick asked about stripping Bruno Fernandes of the captaincy
thetruthpersonified14d ago
Absolutely ahould drop Bruno. Will not as no courage to do so...
jonny14d ago
He has to drop him, if he doesn’t ill assume we are getting breaking news on Monday morning, lost the dressing room so either play the youngsters and make a statement or goodbye
adnan.riaz14d ago
At this point, he defo should. He undermined the credibility of the manager to the wider public.
Michael Carrick demands more from his players
stephenjholmes113d ago
Why hasn't he told the coaching staff and players before the season started. Are we actually meant to believe that professional footballers don't know the basics?
jonny14d ago
He’s ran these players’ fitness levels into the ground, told media that he’s happy with their effort levels all season up until now?
geldroper13d ago
Can't make does ladies run , they might get upset and sweat in training
adnan.riaz14d ago
Indeed, Michael, it is very clear what we want to see.

Michael Carrick is trying to find solutions
adnan.riaz14d ago
I feel for him in this moment. The players need to take far more accountability over what is happening at United than just him.
geldroper13d ago
He is doing it to himself. The players look at him as a friend not the boss and do not take him serious They need some of fergie treatment

dale.odonnell9d ago
💯
dancoombs9d ago
💯it is toxic from the top down. Everybody is fed up at this point
