What did you make of Emma Raducanu's first performance back on clay?
Her first match in 72 days...

Put a fork in it

She will be out 1st round if she plays or have a medical timeout during the match due to the heat and then retire.

Not good enough unfortunately.

Do you think Emma Raducanu has made a good decision with this hire?
Could you see her winning another Grand Slam title alongside Andrew Richardson?
stusmithratho110d ago
It doesn't matter who coaches her, until she gets her head sorted she will win nothing. Too much concentration on off court matters rather than what's happening on court.

Boulter pulled out of Nottingham and nobody says anything.Leave Emma alone. She will never change and is a GS winner but do not expect any other titles from her unless its a 250 perhaps.Just not good enough against the top players and gets down on herself to quickly.

During the Queen Cup final, in the 2nd set, she was shooting corners aggressively, a style describes her character, which earned her 2 service breaks and led 5-2. Serving for the set, that coach asked her to send to the middle, momentum then flowed back to Donna. Coaches must be able to recognise strength of his player in a match n sHout GO FOR IT

Do you think Emma Raducanu’s stance is correct? 🤔
sherlock_b147d ago
Yes
dancoombs150d ago
Likelihood is she will probably boycott the latter stages anyway
jzent760151d ago
Does anybody care what Raducanu thinks. She is not likely to win another tournament in her career and is more about the sponsorship.

We are now in April of 2026 and she is not doing too good. She's not got past round 3 at any major tournament. She was faking illnesses, when losing and Amanda Anisimova wiped the floor with her. She blamed and fired her coach and has withdrawn from numerous tournaments. I think it's safe to say 2026 is not going very well for Miss Radacanu.
destroyit184d ago
This reads like a captain obvious statement or terrible ai. How do you know she was faking illness??

Sonay Kartal is now Britain's best WTA player... do you agree? 🤔
Is Emma Raducanu still the best? Let us know in the comments ⬇️

Definitely, no excuses, comes onto the court with an injury which eventually claims her. No 'poor little me attitude' doesn't know more than the trainers.....! Bad example of British grit etc.
matthew.johns209d ago
Raducanu is still the best British player for me! Kartal has done very well at Indian Wells, but she definitely had a kinder draw than Raducanu...

I still think Raducanu has a higher ceiling, but Kartal is certainly in better form

Where do you think Emma Raducanu will finish 2026 ranked?
thompson.lynn120d ago
I think she should take at least one year off. I don’t think she is made to be a tennis player. Her us open win opened the doors but also opened the pressure which she cannot manage
melissaroy5732d ago
Depends on whether she does play in the China Open and how far she gets. If she does participate, she will go into that tournament with a live ranking of 96 or below. If she loses in the first round, she will lose an additional 50 points and fall outside the Top 100. If she plays tournaments after that and can get past the first round, she can claw back.

Not sure
At which Grand Slam is Emma Raducanu most likely to win a second major title? Let us know why below 👇
jzent76018d ago
It will never happen unless she can get her body fit and her mentality stronger and also improve her serve and ground strokes against the bigger hitters.Anyway being ranked below 100 will mean she will need to go through qualifying. Can you imagine that. She only likes the grass season as she at home.
qidir275927d ago
Are you kidding? According to her IG post, she's on holiday somewhere which is hardly intensive training.. She probably do a Wimbledon (last minute withdrawal) to get the media exposure
jzent76032d ago
Raducanu will not play again until 2027.She has a serious stress fracture which takes months to heal and she will need at least 4-6 weeks of heavy practice before she can compete at the top level again.

Who should be Emma Raducanu's next coach?
jorg.rudolf73153d ago
People have to stop making such a big fuss about her GS victory. May I remind everyone that it happened during the Covid Years. Most Top Players were absent. Her opponent in the final Fernandez hasn't achieved that much since either. I think both Emma and Jack should've joined the tour earlier to build up strength, stamina and consistency.
desbarron2154d ago
Why are people do horrid to Emma? A young girl battling injuries (4 operations) and viral infections by still ranked 28 with winnings this year of over 300,000 dollars. Made the final in her last tournament. Why should someone aged 22 ranked so well retire? Using that marker only 28 players would be left playing. Please get therapy and leave Emma alone!

I have said all along best you retire
If Emma can win a few tournaments then the season ranking will take care of itself!
suegibson4848164d ago
The salient point is that Raducanu is incapable of winning a tournament......
suegibson4848167d ago
Haha What optimism. Lol 😆
sharoncroft523243d ago
Yeah right, she can't get past a quarter final of any tournament. These top 20 players, are far too strong for her. She doesn't stand a chance against them 😂. She is overrated and she clearly fancies herself. I lost my faith in her abilities a long time ago.

How will Emma Raducanu fare at the Australian Open after receiving this draw?
excaspat260d ago
You can always tell when Emma is not up for it. It started at the United Cup And Hobart and now the AO. 1st round defeat I. reckon.
emeraldevank35261d ago
I just don’t like Emma criticising the Aus Open schedule/draw because every player is a tough draw on there side!
emeraldevank35261d ago
If all goes well,3rd round vs Sabalenka & I don’t see Emma going further.
Emma Raducanu won her first Grand Slam too soon - Prove me wrong!

She could not handle the pressure. People's expectations hit the sky. Better off in endorsing merchandises.

Is Emma Raducanu's 2021 US Open title the most shocking Grand Slam run ever?
bonfirepc295d ago
Yes. Lets be brutally honest and face fact eh - this young Tennis player is cut from a different cloth from all other players, Grand Slam winners included- for she has done something no Tennis player, male or female in the history of the sport has ever done before and likely ev
Will Emma Raducanu win another Grand Slam title in her career?
teemama1950239d ago
No, she needs to stop faking an injury whenever she is down. It was the luck of the draw when she won the US Open, it’s a fact Leylah had the hardest draw. You can’t take that away from Emma she won but her coaching situation and her poor sportsmanship is her downfall

tinacamillo241d ago
No . She just likes the limelight. She’s not strong like sabalenka or rybakina . She’s a square faced bandy leg upstart .
warren.jj250405246d ago
Unlikely because she cannot come to terms with the fact that she is the problem, not her coaches. She appears to be very difficult to work with due mainly to the fact that she has terrible people skills.

How would you rate Emma Raducanu's 2025 season?
liam.mcmillen304d ago
It was a good year, with plenty of room for improvement. It felt like a launching pad and it will be very interesting to see how her 2026 goes.

I actually think it was the best year of her career. Finally fit for a sustained period, and rising back up the rankings organically
