How would you rate Novak Djokovic's chances of winning Wimbledon?

jswano9974d ago

Slight

tufidonna87d ago

100% Novak Djokovic!

bcauserano124d ago

About 7/10, Alcaraz almost certainly won't be there. Sinner won't be 100%, so thats in his favor but then you have Zverev, Fonseca, Jodar which is most certainly not in his favor.

How concerned are you about Novak Djokovic heading into Roland Garros?

bcauserano136d ago

No, not at all I don't think 1 clay match where he was probably sick/injured is enough to go by. I think this is his best chance at #25

callumdaviestennis149d ago

I'm very worried. One match, one loss all clay season before Roland Garros? Not good

george.patten149d ago

I’m not convinced he makes the second week. Never count Novak out though!

Who will retire with more Grand Slam titles - Carlos Alcaraz or Novak Djokovic?

Let us know why in the comments!

leeclarke05081147d ago

Alcaraz. Him and Sinner will just keep sharing them around. Novak competed in an era where Nadal, Federer, Murray, Wawrinka were all capable of winning them. I just don't see who pinches Grand Slams away from Sinner and Alcaraz. They might both sit at the top of the tree once they retire.

callum_boyle147d ago

Novak. Alcaraz will get very close but the 🐐 will remain on top

vs.iyer.vs170d ago

At present possibilities are more for Carlos. Long way to go. Some one else can come to block carlos like carlos and Sinner blocked Novak for the past 3 years. Novak and Rafa blocked Fed. 2010 Australian open. fed was at 16 Grand slams. But till 2021, he was able to succeed in 4 Grand slams. 2017 and 18 merely because of Novak's absence.

Grade Novak Djokovic's Australian Open performance out of 10...

kitakufej244d ago

Easy to criticize! Very rested Novak: 2 walkovers in a row: 1st, vs Jakub Mensik (R16), he didn’t even play 1 set; then vs Musetti (QF), Novak had a Houdini escape from the jaws of defeat, down 2 sets to zero. But Carlos was cruising, won in 3 straight sets till the QF vs #3, Zverev, but he still won in 5 sets, despite severe cramps!! C’mon John McEnroe!!

mihirssachdev244d ago

I’d say 8/10, his first set was phenomenal, 6-2 to the world number won at 38 is insane. While his level did dip slightly, he performed well in the fourth set and came close to another tie.

graceshanti8244d ago

Considering ALL His Abilities ... His Authencity ... His Achievements .. and to even be in The Final ... 10/10 . GOAT at This Point. ....

Are you more or less confident that Novak Djokovic can win his 25th Grand Slam now?

longtennisnutrition222d ago

Nope!!

bcbirder242d ago

Yes, I see him winning Wimbledon. He’s the best grass player. 👍❤️. However, I don’t think it’s fair to compare the women against the men. They play 2 totally different matches. Margaret Court played a max of 3 sets and was probably more often 2 sets. Novak had to play 3-5 and most were 4-5 which takes a heck of a lot more energy. He’s the GOAT ❤️👏

He certainly can. Has more G/slams than anyone. If so, he must do it in 2026! Too many strong, talented and capable youngsters coming up. He still needs to demonstrate that he can reliably beat Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz. He was lucky to reach the finals this year.

Who will win the Australian Open men's singles final?

tabmash246d ago

Carlos has what it takes and just needs to be focused all the way!

athermunirmd247d ago

If Carlito is fit and playing his A game I think nobody right now (including Novak) can beat him in the final.

greenfishmys247d ago

On this date and time: Sun + Jupiter favor new champion Saturn challenges older body Mars supports aggressive youth So astrology points toward: Alcaraz lifting the 🏆🏆🏆

Where does that performance rank out of Novak Djokovic's best of all time?

hurst.leona237d ago

Federer still has my vote as the GOAT.

sylviamcmillan1963243d ago

Sinner might have won more points he didn't win the match which am totally glad the amount of free point he get with his serve and still cdnt win Djokovic was absolutely amazing a

I think Djokovic had luck on his side. He was losing to Musetti before he retired. Sinner outplayed him on every metric except break points saved. 16 out of 18 for Djokovic. Sinner won more points, more first serves, 26 aces. He was the better player, but he lost. This will go down as a houdini act, through sheer willpower. He has played better in the past.

People often confuse and conflate most favorite with Greatest Ever. When Federer and Nadal admit Djokovic us the greatest ever, and Djokovic's achievements far outweigh the other two, the answer to the question just exposes a person's bias. Djokovic GOAT.

anapoletano9223d ago

But Novak said Federer is the GOAT in talent...before Feder's talent no longer existed cause he was too old and injured and had to have surgery and retired Novak was behind Federer in majors..Novak won his last majors between the end of Federer/Nadal and the coming of Sinner/Alcaraz during the weakest Era in modern history.

philbuchli283d ago

People confuse BOAT with GOAT. BOAT is about most titles, GOAT is titles and beyond. Ali was not the BOAT, but is the GOAT, ditto Jordan, Tiger and Senna. Federer is the GOAT. It's not even close.!

If there is such a thing as the GOAT in any field it shouldn't be reduced to numbers. Genius is a rare thing and only Roger Federer, of these three, was touched with that remarkable quality. Hell, he was beaten senseless with it! Federer was Baryshnikov with Merlin's wand.

dottmandottcom252d ago

Numbers don't lie. Statistics are there for a reason. Flamboyance and artistry is nice to see but hell, in the end they get judged by how much they won. Lorenzo Musetti has a beautiful one handed backhand as well, but history would judge him by how many titles his artistry brought to the table. If Federer is Goat, then Novak is his god.

He is only the best cos most tennis is played on hard surface which disadvantaged Roger Federer

joq2527298d ago

Disadvantaged Rafa as well.

rgpcllc305d ago

Borg is better than all 3, his racket was 2/3 the size of theirs, the surfaces are much easier today then when Borg played, ,had better stamina, won 11 majors in 6 years, won Wimbledon and The French Open back to back 3 straight years, Nadal did it once, the other never!

Djokovic - no debate. Holds a positive record against Federer and Nadal and dominated the sport for over a decade.

anapoletano9223d ago

He does not have the better stats over Nadal and Federer when all 3 were healthy in their prime in top form which is before any reached 33 yrs old. Look at the head to head and major count during that period I just mentioned and you'll see when we compare apples with apples Fed is #1 Nadal #2 and Novak #3

24 Grand Slams speaks for itself! It's Novak Djokovic.

guyrestivo277d ago

Just Grand Slams???...Ok Margaret Court was the greatest..right.....(actually she was)...192 singles titles to Serenas 73...total Slams...64...Serena 39...even Navratilova and Everts records blow Serena away...Courts records will never be challenged
