Grade Novak Djokovic's Australian Open performance out of 10...

Easy to criticize! Very rested Novak: 2 walkovers in a row: 1st, vs Jakub Mensik (R16), he didn’t even play 1 set; then vs Musetti (QF), Novak had a Houdini escape from the jaws of defeat, down 2 sets to zero. But Carlos was cruising, won in 3 straight sets till the QF vs #3, Zverev, but he still won in 5 sets, despite severe cramps!! C’mon John McEnroe!!

I’d say 8/10, his first set was phenomenal, 6-2 to the world number won at 38 is insane. While his level did dip slightly, he performed well in the fourth set and came close to another tie.

Think 8/10 is probably fair all things considered!

Considering ALL His Abilities ... His Authencity ... His Achievements .. and to even be in The Final ... 10/10 . GOAT at This Point. ....

Giving him a 9/10. Yes he had great luck with two walkovers, but still stepped up when it mattered, and importantly when nobody expected it!

The Joker is a very crafty tennis player. I think Novac thought if he went hard and won the first set he could get Carlos to question his ability to beat him. On the other hand maybe Carlos was letting Novac think he was the better player and lured Novac into a false sense of security.

I would say 8/10. He rode his luck in the middle of the tournament, but produced a sensational performance against Sinner in the semifinals and then backed it up with a more than competitive effort against Alcaraz in the final!

He also played 2 less matches than the other 3 semifinalists. He was the lucky loser.

I think he was playing at the peak of his powers, so it's hard not to give him 10/10

About an 8/10 for me. His first set was electric. His level did dip a little in the second and third but the fourth was very closely fought too.

That is a consideration. Thank you for pointing that out.
