How impressed were you by Alex Murphy against Fulham?
He's going to need to step up now 👀
No comments yet. Be the first.
Miley should be starting more often, but that's Howe isn't it
jonathan.gorrie290d ago
Would you go for Miley/Bruno/Tonali in midfield when all are fit?
Winning again would be TWICE as nice!
That first Carabao Cup win was special, but retaining the trophy would be even better. Which would mean more to you? 🤩
penny2016leolucy2013282d ago
Strengthen, the defence is a MUST, can't rely on Botman being fit, Schar for me is out of it. Need a Dynamic midfielder to replace Joelinton if he goes to Saudi. With that done the team would be good enough to compete in all competitions
james.rutherford291d ago
I'm not going to say no to winning it again, but that day at Wembley back in March will never be topped. The emotion inside the ground when the final whistle went was amazing.
jonathan.gorrie291d ago
Winning the first time but retaining a trophy is the sign of a big club 😎
How long can this run continue?
Newcastle United have now won nine Carabao Cup ties in a row. They'll break the record if they win one more... 👀
penny2016leolucy2013291d ago
Man City different proposition than Fulham
One goal behind already 👀 Who will score more this season, Wissa or Isak?
jonathan.gorrie291d ago
Who's the other bloke? Never heard of him 😂
scott.mason291d ago
Wonder when the 150m bid for Wissa is coming in 👀
How much do you think Lewis Miley would now be worth in the transfer market? ⭐
He should be an outside bet for England's World Cup squad!
james.rutherford291d ago
He's priceless. After losing Elliot Anderson, the last thing we want is to sell another homegrown superstar.
What did you think of Lewis Miley's performance at right-back?
He might be needed there for a while now Tino is injured 😟
james.rutherford291d ago
Really accomplished. Defended brilliantly one-on-one. Howe trusted him and he delivered.
What's your early prediction? Are we set to return to Wembley?
Tough semi-final draw but you can't write us off in this competition 👀
james.brooke291d ago
You never know how seriously City will take it, but Pep does tend to go strong. One a one-off possibly but two legs make it pretty much impossible in my opinion
jordan.harris291d ago
we could do with a proper title race going on. That'll help
rosie.tudball291d ago
Second leg decides this I fear, if Newcastle were at SJP I'd be so confident, can't say I am with an away trip second leg.
Give us your best three-word review of Newcastle United 2-1 Fulham 👀

lewis miley special

Still toothless attack
scott.mason291d ago
Retaining the cup
Who was your MOTM against Fulham? For what it's worth, I thought Jacob Ramsey was very good 😍😍
james.brooke291d ago
Wissa just because it was great to see him finally on the pitch and scoring.
jonathan.gorrie291d ago
Miley is the obvious one but shoutout to Ramsey! Not had it easy but played well here
jordan.harris291d ago
Miley is so impressive!
Who should replace Tino Livramento at full-back after his recent injury?!
You couldn't make this up 😡
james.rutherford291d ago
It's going to have to be Miley, which isn't a major worry after his display last night.
worldofaaron291d ago
Miley. But now we will need to play Hall every week so he will probably get injured
Level at the break! What needs to change in the second half? I'm worried that we're far too open as per usual....
jonathan.gorrie291d ago
Anyone else got some bad vibes after that? Or am I being negative 😂?
How big of a blow is this? Feels like the worst possible player to get injured right now! 😡
Why Lewis Hall isn't playing for Newcastle United vs Fulham 👀
jonathan.gorrie291d ago
This season is really starting to go off the rails...
The team news has landed! What's your instant reaction to the XI? Feels stretched...
Lewis Miley at right-back and Yoane Wissa starts 👀
jonathan.gorrie291d ago
I don't like the look of that midfield....
So many injuries 😞 Which player are we missing the most?
jonathan.gorrie291d ago
We're going to miss Burn an awful lot
james.rutherford291d ago
Hard to pick really. We're going to struggle without Burn and Trippier's leadership and experience.
How confident are we that Newcastle will get past Fulham?
A place in the Carabao Cup semi-finals awaits, but that defeat to Fulham back in February still haunts us. How are you feeling? 👀
jonathan.gorrie291d ago
I have a terrible feeling about the game!
james.rutherford291d ago
Got to be confident as we're at home, but the atmosphere is going to be strange after Sunday.
jakob.barnes292d ago
Won't be easy this... but at home, surely Newcastle do it
He scored plenty of goals for Newcastle and Fulham - but who is he?
Guess the name of this mystery player in the comments if you can...
james.rutherford291d ago
Last Newcastle United player to score against Sunderland in the Premier League, annoyingly...
Our predicted XI to face Fulham tonight! What changes would you make? ⚫⚪
penny2016leolucy2013291d ago
If that is the line up then that’s a bad start, I would never play Willock never mind start him. He must be Howe’s adopted son.
jonathan.gorrie291d ago
Would love to see Ramsey!
james.rutherford291d ago
I'd like to see Ramsey get a chance, but Eddie Howe doesn't seem convinced so far. Feels like £43m wasted!
Who would you start in defence against Fulham?
Jacob Murphy at right-back? A chance for Alex Murphy?
jonathan.gorrie291d ago
Tino Thiaw Schar Hall
leeclarke0508291d ago
Winning breeds confidence and Newcastle need to change the landscape after Sunday. Strong team please, Eddie!
jakob.barnes292d ago
Chuck Alex Murphy in, he needs to get a chance at some point
Will a win in the cup against Fulham help you get over losing to Sunderland? 🏆
jakob.barnes292d ago
I think Howe needs to win this trophy again to make up for that awful showing
jordan.harris292d ago
Nope, especially given the manner of the performance at the weekend
brogan292d ago
Nope, but the players just need to reset and put it behind them... hopefully
After the derby disaster, what changes should Eddie Howe make for the Carabao Cup quarter-final? 🏆
brogan292d ago
Wissa needs some minutes, for sure!
josh.barker292d ago
Sack them all off except Thiaw
gilly19561292d ago
Keep Ramsdale Thiaw and Hall ... bin the rest of them and play the dinner ladies who would show more fight
