Man City have confirmed that they are appealing the recent guilty verdict in relation to breaching Premier League regulations. How do you expect the appeal to go?
glstark162d ago
I agree but some thing tells me that they will get away with it
paddy2d ago
Should be title stripped and relegated
glstark162d ago
They will probably get away with it like all the top six do !

What do you make of suggestions that Phil Foden would stick by Man City if the club are punished? 🤔
Relegation down the divisions is one of several sanctions on the table for the independent disciplinary commission after City's guilty verdict...
james.brooke3d ago
Might start actually scoring a few
dantowen819514d ago
Easy to say right now - but I don’t see this being like a Juventus situation where they just drop down to the second tier for a season…
amirmir4d ago
The English Del Piero....Saying that, Foden might not have a choice!
Man City's principal sponsor Etihad Airways says it is considering legal action against the Premier League! 😯
The airline says 'at no time did the Premier League reach out to or engage with Etihad in the process associated with the commission's opinion.'
kilham.max4d ago
Whole thing absolutely reeks.

The "Get out of jail dodgy book of last resort tricks" has been dug out. The precedent was set by dodgy politicians and individuals every time their fiddling, corruption etc are exposed. In Britain people get arrested for truth & hurty words - In South Africa they sue or hire assassins - in the US they sue or protest.
dantowen819514d ago
Dig out the emails lads, RyanAir have got a better chance of helping City 😭

Man City reportedly knew about their PL charges verdict as early as July - what do you make of this development?
A £450m summer spending spree then ensued...
john.haigh4d ago
I'm shocked 🤔 Man City? The paragons of virtue 🚶♂️🚶♂️🚶♂️
amirmir5d ago
Feel so sorry for Everton, another ten points deducted 😢
leeclarke05085d ago
Shocking. They'll somehow get away with it though. Probably get a ban for five years for transfers.

What do you make of the statement from Khaldoon Al Mubarak about the Man City charges case? 🤔
The chairman also says there are 'so many things' he'd like to say but can't at the moment due to the ongoing legal process...
tom.procter8d ago
Ok, very interesting to see him doubling down like this. He is either going to look ridiculously foolish or be the world’s smuggest man

A desperate attempt at deflection

Ignore the outside noise. What are your honest thoughts on Man City's FFP situation?
City will appeal the verdict, which found them guilty on 114/115 charges.
keithsmyth3768d ago
I hope City get relegated and docked a lot of points then get a transfer ban then pay compensation to the clubs that are due it like Liverpool and United, I hope City go back to the small struggling club that they where before the money arrived, good riddance City your club won't be missed, I'm glad I'm a Liverpool fan a team with history and a great support

Time for a song recommendation… This Is How It Feels by Inspiral Carpets 😉😉😉
freddie9d ago
The start of the downfall? Or will it just be a case of bouncing straight back?

What grade are you giving Man City for their start to the 26/27 campaign?
Do you think Enzo Maresca will keep the ball rolling? Any causes for concern?
jackgallagher11d ago
A for me, started well but not hard to when you have that money and those players
markmarston12d ago
A*… only team with a 100% record. Enzo Maresca proving himself to be one of the best managers in the world. Always knew he’d become that being a Leicester fan
jamie.theodosi12d ago
A. Marseca wasn’t being given much of a chance. Having said that, they’ve spent a lot again.
Enzo Maresca proving himself to be a tactical genius this season…. where does he rank among the best managers in the PL?
tom.procter14d ago
Hard to say in terms of a ranking yet but go to give him his flowers for this start. Has been fascinating seeing some of the things he’s done - like using Bouaddi as a hybrid CM-LCB against Norwich the other night 😅the moment he works out how to get this team to be less leaky will be a gamechanger!
♥ 1
callum_boyle14d ago
One of Enzo’s big skills is his in-game management. Won us a lot of points at Leicester and helped him pick up two trophies with Chelsea. I think he’s made Man City exciting to watch and, if they just sure up at the back a bit, I think they stroll their way to the title
♥ 1
peter.lynch14d ago
I would win the league managing that City side! 😉 just replace one world-class player with another if things go wrong…

What do you make of Enzo Maresca's comments on Erling Haaland's controversial goal in Man City's win vs Man United 👀
aaditya.krishnamurthy18d ago
Surely there’s a way to make that point without being dismissive of your best player
kyle.dimond18d ago
I can understand his viewpoint because he’ll be incredibly proud of the players and I think he managed the game brilliantly. Both deserve to be spoken about but obviously the goal was going to be the big topic
dale.odonnell18d ago
A cheat representing cheats. 🚮
Has Erling Haaland surpassed Sergio Aguero as Man City's greatest-ever striker?
If not, what more does he have to do? 🤔
tom.procter20d ago
It will take a few more years yet. Aguero 15 trophies and 325 G/A to Haaland’s 8 and 198. Aguero was such an unbelievable footballer
jordan.harris21d ago
Definitely on his way!
amirmir21d ago
Let Haaland leave/retire. Then we judge properly because then everyone can look back with nostalgia. Either way, by the end of it all, I think we will say Haaland?

Joy for Man City on Derby day - let's hear your reactions 👇
Erling Haaland scores to spare Phil Foden's blushes after a baffling red card.
caleb.sage21d ago
Never looked like 11 v 10. Anderson and Fernandez were really good on the ball.
will.butcher21d ago
Some performance that from City, justice after the Bruno situation.
lee.connor21d ago
The goal was an odd one but what is up with Man United? Against ten and barely must a meaningful attack until the Mbeumo chance. City are just a machine. Anderson was brilliant and Ndiaye looks like he’s been there years.
Just ridiculous stuff from Haaland 🤖
amirmir26d ago
He's defo hitting 200+ UCL goals easy in his career. Not even at his peak yet 😂
♥ 1
peter.lynch26d ago
And people still like to have a go at him, wild 😂😂

daviescallum4226d ago
Are we ever surprised anymore? Joke of a footballer

An Erling Haaland double gets Man City's UCL campaign off to a winning start in Porto! 🙌 Thoughts on the performance?
Tell us who stood out for you tonight...
jackdrury26d ago
Guehi is an absolute Rolls-Royce. Sees the game as well as anyone
majeedlytle26d ago
He's a goal scorer. What a great debut
daviescallum4226d ago
Guehi was immense again tonight, such a talented defender
Man City’s starting XI vs Porto is in and there’s a full debut for Ayyoub Bouaddi 👀
chillout26d ago
I had my doubts about City this season - life after Pep, and the Community Shield debacle. But they have certainly done the biz in the Prem and now Europe so far this season.
♥ 1
peter.lynch26d ago
Silly squad depth that… but I think this man is gonna shine out there tonight, looking forward to it ⚽️
♥ 2
markmarston26d ago
Excited to see this lad… joy to watch in the World Cup. Has a presence and a calmness about him which is so rare at that age
♥ 2

Should this be Man City's starting XI vs FC Porto? Any changes you'd make? 🤔
Jeremy Doku and Nico O'Reilly both remain out...
jackdrury26d ago
That squad depth is a joke! Would ask questions of a midfield two of Anderson and Enzo though against the big boys
tom.procter27d ago
Not sure it happens but I would LOVE McAidoo to start! Hope Phil makes an impact tonight. And all for using Cherki off the bench, important to keep him fresh
peter.lynch27d ago
Crazy crazy crazy squad depth again this season even with all their sales, lots of top players brought in. I don’t understand the worries about no other striker, Haaland doesn’t do much other than score so he doesn’t need a rest!
By no means a stellar Man City performance yesterday but what a great, controlled showing from Elliot Anderson. Good to see he has settled quickly 🙌🏻
kyle.dimond27d ago
Outrageous player. Still blows my mind that some don’t seem to rate it highly

Man City beat Coventry but only 1-0… what did you make of that performance?
jordan.harris29d ago
Three points is the main thing. Poor performance but it was never going to be as electric under Enzo
tom.procter29d ago
You know what, let’s just take the win. New manager, new season, lots of uncertainty. Might take time for us to start really sweeping teams aside. But it’s three wins from three
mbandamanathan29d ago
Performance was pathetic,no team coordination

Man City sign Enzo Fernandez for joint-record British transfer fee - thoughts on this Deadline Day move?
peter.lynch33d ago
Crazy money once again… didn’t think they needed ANOTHER midfielder but here we are 😬
sharonboomer6933d ago
Not Happy tbh.He is a divisive character, one who was quick enough to let England fans his thoughts on the 'Malvinas'.He has only gone 2 city cause there was no other suitors
tom.procter33d ago
Wish we’d have tried for Alex Scott
♥ 1

Give us your thoughts as Man City AGREE £65m deal to sign Iliman Ndiaye
kyle.dimond34d ago
Much better deal than the Gakpo one IMO. I know Gakpo’s numbers are better but he’s incredibly wasteful and frustrating at times and is playing in a much better side. Ndiaye far more suited I think
tom.procter34d ago
The disappointment about the fee from a lot of Everton fans is telling. Great player and excited to see him for City. Probably needs to up his G/A output though. Watching him and Cherki together is gonna be fun I’ll say that much!
jonathan.gorrie34d ago
Good player but can’t imagine City doing something like this at any point over the last 10 years. Moving for a reasonably random player out of nowhere. Not sure it says much for their recruitment plans

Man City have decided to pull out of a deal to sign Cody Gakpo ❌ and put full focus into bringing Enzo Fernandez to the Etihad. Give us your thoughts...
itaylor493034d ago
I don't think Fernadez is right for City. I think with him in the team we might be playing with 10 men for a good part of the season.
♥ 1
clivedh34d ago
So relieved we're not going after Gakpo. Not convinced Fernandez fits in personality wise.
♥ 1
tom.procter34d ago
Don’t mind it. Now go get Ndiaye! Still cannot warm to signing Fernandez though
♥ 2
Here’s Nico Gonzalez shining on his Newcastle debut at the weekend. Stilll unfathomable to me that we’ve got rid 🤨
sharonboomer6933d ago
City will rue the day,When they let Nico go. Sad to see him go,deserved better.good luck 2 him at the 'Magpies'.
tom.procter33d ago
Yeah exactly! Always good when called upon. Now it’s his true time to shine with Rodri being sold and we sack him off 😒cracking addition for Newcastle
♥ 1
kyle.dimond34d ago
Yeah, absolute nonsense. Looked like he was really settling into a groove last season before not getting his spot back.
♥ 1
Man City have completed the £34m signing of Allan Elias 🔥 What do you make of this transfer?
tom.procter34d ago
Good luck to the lad. Decent fee as well, swear initial reports were indicating it would be more. I’ve got high hopes Allan will make a better impact than his predecessor 🇧🇷
callum_boyle34d ago
These sorts of signings have been exciting in the Premier League of late. Estevao comes to mind and Man City rarely get things wrong

It's been 11 years since Man City signed Kevin De Bruyne! What is your favourite memory of the legendary midfielder?
eoin35d ago
Too many to count, one of the best players the PL has seen. Wanted to hate him as a Liverpool fan but he was a pleasure to watch
jackgallagher35d ago
https://youtube.com/shorts/bkvtVVbdp08?si=yY_2TQcT4Dld8FdA
chillout35d ago
He is rightly regarded as City’s greatest player of all time, and there were plenty of WTF brilliant moments, but he will also be remembered as a focal point in Belgium’s ‘Golden Generation’ that won FA. For me, that makes him a great City player, but not one of the all-time greats who succeeded on the international stage as well.

Gody Gakpo is set to join Man City on a three-year deal from Liverpool! What do you make of that?
David Ornstein confirmed that a deal is in progress..
peter.lynch36d ago
I seriously have no words for this one… what on earth, the game has well and truly gone crazy 😅😅😅
seanfisher36d ago
This window is absolutely mental... Every player is just worth £80m+ now it seems
leeclarke050836d ago
What on earth are Liverpool thinking.

Man City make it two wins from two after a DAZZLING display from Rayan Cherki! Where does he rank among the most exciting players to watch in the world? 😮💨
itaylor493034d ago
I think he is brilliantly gifted player technically and after the last match I think he is starting to get where he needs to be playing. I think he is going to do really well for us.
kyle.dimond37d ago
It’s between him and Kvara for me. Both are just electric. Cherki off to an absolute flyer this season
jonathan.gorrie37d ago
Great performance but can’t get carried away. What has happened to Foden? So average now
Some cracking Champions League games coming up - which are you most excited for? 🩵
kyle.dimond37d ago
PSG at home and Barca away are big time matches. Tough group but they’ll be fun to watch for sure
♥ 1
Ayyoub Bouaddi has officially joined Man City! Is there anything left for the Cityzens to do before the window closes? 👀
kyle.dimond37d ago
Still looks like they’re trying to get another starter which I think is the right call. Give Bouaddi some more time so settle
dantowen8195140d ago
He could be sensational but these are the biggest shoes to fill in football! How much of a grace period will he get? I’m not a fan of this new-look City midfield
amirmir40d ago
I still think Man City need to spend more money. To go from 2nd to 2nd.
Nico O'Reilly is the PFA Young Player of the Year! What is his ceiling? 🤩
eoin40d ago
Hell be world class, hopefully a midfielder. He has It all
freddie40d ago
Yh he’s special this guy. Think he can go right to the top and wouldn’t be surprised to see him in a Real Madrid shirt one day
Is Rayan Cherki the best No.10 in the Premier League?
freddie41d ago
He’s deffo the most exciting. Type of player who makes you fall in love with football!
adnan.riaz41d ago
No. But he is still a really good player in that position.
majeedlytle41d ago
He may not be..but he's good
♥ 1
What did everyone make of the first real game of the Maresca era? I thought they were better than last week but squad looks so thin! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2dAici-FSE
chilofaze89440d ago
Wait till January we then know the strength of his team.
chilofaze89440d ago
It's too early to give Enzo maresca any credit just keep your fingers crossed for now.
majeedlytle41d ago
He's good. Team just need to improve more
What do you think of Erling Haaland's new look? 👀
adnan.riaz41d ago
He looks like Brock Lesner. 🙈😂
aaditya.krishnamurthy42d ago
As someone growing out their own hair, this is heartbreaking. A light trim would have sufficed
jonathan.gorrie42d ago
As the kids say, aura loss
Really strange team here. Not sure about that midfield
No comments yet. Be the first.
Enzo Maresca wants to carry on Pep Guardiola's legacy at Man City, but how likely is he to reach those levels?
will.butcher44d ago
Don’t see it. Shoes too big to fill, especially after losing Rodri
harveyleonard9944d ago
He’ll he gone in 24 months. The kind of manager everyone hypes up but ends up club hopping because he can’t live up to expectations
lrandall121044d ago
If the community shield is anything to go by then it’s gonna be a real struggle
Our Premier League predictions are here! Do you agree with where we have Man City? 👀
dakir.thanveer46d ago
2nd or 3rd is my call
seanfisher46d ago
20th… hard to be anywhere else when you get a 60 point deduction dropped on your head 😉
caleb.sage46d ago
There’s just no way Maresca has what it takes to take this City side above Arsenal in one season.
Do you think Jack Grealish can finally turn things around at Man City?
dakir.thanveer46d ago
No, he's done at City. Take a wage cut and move elsewhere ASAP!
seanfisher46d ago
He needs to be somewhere he’s loved, and he’s just part of the background at City. Needs to leave
caleb.sage46d ago
Looked good at Everton before his injury. Won’t make it at City, though.
Disagree. I don't think Nico is good enough for City.
tom.procter47d ago
Why do you think this mate?
What do you make of Man City potentially selling Nico Gonzalez to Newcastle? 🤔
tom.procter46d ago
We better not do this. Seriously. Been a great player when called upon. Now we could get rid of him as soon as we have a genuine need for him??
