Unfortunately, the whole team were at fault and looked slow, unfit, and not able to compete physically v Hull. Carrick needs to get a plan to tackle 5 defenders parking the bus and playing on the break

The defence is poor, I actually think they're very immature in terms of what their role is. The conservative approach from the defense defies logic, with back passes their main dish.

I really hope that he has read the "riot act" behind closed doors, but he has to take some of the blame for the team. We lost against Milan because he brought players back who weren't ready. That continued today. The formation was totally wrong also. A standard 4-4-2 would have been better able to defend, and also could have given the forwards more room.

I didn't see anything from United in the game to take as a positive. I could have predicted the result. To play the formation and starting 11 was only ever going to end in defeat. When you don't have positional discipline you open yourself up to being exploited. Why have 3 of 4 defenders so far forward. We should have been playing 4-4-2

🤣World cup hang over!! I felt it too. Kept thinking our third kit was still Gold and black, and we were winning. Am sure Tielamens was in the same boat with me...and Bruno...and Dorgu...and...by the way, why did we have to borrow Fulham's last season kit?

I really believe this was a case of thinking they would steamroller through the opposition. There aren't any easy games in the Premier League. I can see the same happening against Ipswich unless they get back to basics. There were too many players trying to flood the opposition attacking 3rd. No positional discipline.

1. Cunha shouldn’t be there, and neither should Mbeumo. They’ve basically swapped positions. 2. Why does every opposition attack look so dangerous? Midfield should be the first filter for Maguire, who lacks pace, and Heaven, who’s still a rookie. 3. Other teams have mastered set pieces, while we look like schoolboys at them.

Hope it means nothing from a positional perspective. We already know he doesn't work as a striker. Clearly Carrick trusts him a lot to give him such an important number. I'm quietly confident about a good season.
