When Aprillia is talking about Bez's comeback from injury, I don't know why they're talking about Silverstone. Just for the record, a 'complete fracture of the left clavicle,' especially one that needs surgery, has a recovery time of minimum 3 months till you are able to do heavy tasks like Motogp racing.

tyler.rowlinson84d ago

The trouble with MotoGP riders is that they have a history of coming back too soon. This does feel like a big injury for Bez, and if he rushes this, it could cause him even more damage. Would not be surprised to see him at Silverstone, but he needs to really rest this summer

davidgarland00784d ago

Gunter should lay the law down to him, if he even appears to ride slow (like this weekend), or disrespect the bike/ team again, then OUT he goes !!

What should KTM do with Maverick Vinales after his public outbursts?

john277d ago

Send his bitch ass down the road,

andymedin5577d ago

Should retire immediately if he's that miserable racing physically and/or mentally. The majority owners can't be pleased with him either.

hughmungass83d ago

When I watched him progress through Moto2 I thought he was destined for good things when he moved into GP but we know how that went. His reputation is in tatters & perhaps he should quietly leave ASAP as only bitterness from both sides will prevail from here on. Steiner is NOT an individual to offer 'support'. He has a track record in this

The championship standings heading into the summer break! Which rider has been the most impressive halfway through the season?

dougiedartz77d ago

I think it's a shame that no one is talking about Fernandez. More often than not qualifies on the first two rows and is regularly in the top 5 or 6 on Sunday

Between Ogura & Marc?......it goes to that guy currently in 3rd on the table. I come to this conclusion quite simply because although Ogura is doing well, he is only 4 points ahead of Marc & has been completely injury free for the first half whereas I can't say the same about the 93

pixantz684d ago

Its a tie between Ogura and Marc. Marc for orchestrating a perfect comeback given his painful condition and the given circumstances. And Ogura for really cranking up his act so smoothly yet strongly. Leave alone the others, nobody even at Aprillia has an aswer to this guy!

Our rider ratings for Germany are in, but what did we get wrong?

tyler.rowlinson84d ago

Martin is maybe too high, even though he gained some positions they were slightly fortuitous with crashes, plus he was not comfortable on the bike at all. Could maybe bump Fernandez up as well, the Trackhouse boys impressed again

aaditya.krishnamurthy84d ago

I don't see why Acosta got a 9, a lot of his positional advantage came off the back of him capitalising on Alex Marquez and Diggia's crashes

david.comerford84d ago

Bagnaia score might seem harsh, but failing to pass Martin on a weekend where Ducati had the best bike was pretty poor. Don't think he'd give himself a much higher rating!

Marc Marquez DOMINATES the German Grand Prix and claims his 10th MotoGP win at the Sachsenring! What was your biggest takeaway from the race?

dougal145383d ago

Imho nobody can touch Marc this season provided he doesn’t get injured anymore.. Aprilia may have the fastest bike at some circuits but they haven’t got any riders in the same league as Marc when he returns to full fitness.. but he’s been doing a great job so far wouldn’t you agree?

skeletor5555583d ago

This circuit is boring, very little overtaking spots.

hughmungass84d ago

I have read a lot of articles regarding this Saxony GP and the lack of entertainment therein and such a shame that a rider who possesses major talent has to carry a tag of 'boring'. These comments aren't just from his detractors so perhaps if Marc was to remove one spark plug lead would this help people to think better of him? Takeaway: control & fitness

Should Neil Hodgson do a interesting facts podcast?

pixantz684d ago

🤣 yes, it would be quite amusing when the riders themselves can't put up enough entertainment. Some pundits really have wild imaginations.

Hahaha with all the stuff he comes up with it’ll probably be a good listen when the races are dull!

Marc Marquez remains the man to beat at the German Grand Prix, but who was your rider of the Sprint race?

pixantz684d ago

I would say apart from the winner it was Alex. The fact that he cleverly controlled himself while keenly observing Marcs tactics helped him avoid a crash. He forgot that part and got ahead of himself on Sunday though, and all came undone.

juhant.joe84d ago

He nail it as it was his wish and or plan. Before going to vacation this result was crucial to give him piece of mind which will boost his performance in continuation. Yes , being unlucky for his rivals, play well for him , but none of that is his fault. He is just the best , nothing more to say. Happy for him after all he got through in the past.

Marc is the obvious choice here but I'm giving it to Alex as he is arguably the least fittest of the two

What does this mean for Marco Bezzecchi's 2026 title challenge?

hughmungass85d ago

Bezzechi's hold on the championship started unravelling 3 rounds ago & hasn't lessened. This injury to him is kind of ironic isn't it?, so now it's Marc's turn to take advantage of it albeit with Bezzecchi having the advantage of minimal point seepage due to the summer break. Anyway I wish him a successful recovery

johanesbp85d ago

That means he lost it. Lost momentum, breaks under pressure. It's still halfway through the championship but he made too many unnecessary mistakes. If he didn't regain momentum in silverstone, his championship is done for.

ahambly2386d ago

A fourth successive race weekend with no points from the Grand Prix has all but confirmed Bezzecchi's fate. I really can't see him winning this title now

Marc Marquez takes pole, but who was your star of qualifying at the German Grand Prix?

kyle.archer85d ago

Fabio Quartararo worked wonders on that Yamaha to haul it to P6. Franco Morbidelli, too, did well to get P7 on the GP25.

What result does Maverick Vinales need in the German GP to force KTM and Tech3 to change their mind?

kyle.archer86d ago

At this point, Maverick Vinales would need to win the German Grand Prix to get KTM and Tech3 to have any second thoughts.

Should the Sachsenring be a staple of the MotoGP calendar in the future, or is it too dangerous today?

ahambly2388d ago

I’m not too concerned on the safety of the circuit, all of the riders know the risks when the surface is a little bit slick from wet weather

kyle.archer89d ago

The throttle works both ways. Sure, the Sachsenring is a narrow track (especially with the power that modern MotoGP bikes can produce). But if a rider does not feel comfortable pushing the limits of what is possible to suit the specific demands of the Sachsenring, they can back off.

What is Marc Marquez's BEST win at the German Grand Prix?

Marquez has won TWELVE times at the Sachsenring across his Grand Prix career!

kyle.archer90d ago

Marc Marquez's 2016 German Grand Prix win was arguably one of the very best of his entire career and showed exactly why he is in a class of one when it comes to flag-to-flag races.

Predict the podium at the German Grand Prix this weekend đź”®

kyle.archer90d ago

Let's go a little out of the box and say Marc Marquez will NOT win the 2026 German Grand Prix. Instead, the Ducati rider will crash out trying to build a lead knowing how strong he is at the Sachsenring - leaving the door open for Ai Ogura to win back-to-back races, ahead of Jorge Martin and Francesco Bagnaia.

dougiedartz90d ago

Marc, Martin, Ogura

1. Marc 2.Aprillia 3.Aprillia/Ducati
