It's OFFICIAL! 🏆 Harry Kane WINS the 2026 Men's Ballon d'Or Award - thoughts? 👀
ericisgod661w ago
Finally the Ballon d'Or has regained some respectability.

Brilliant, really pleased for Kane. However it really shows the PL players have little chance in raw numbers. Making Rodri's win even more valuable. Nobody, could get near Kane's figures in the PL. It is almost like a handicap system is required to make it fair. People vote for biggest numbers, meaning PL strikers are unlikely to win the award.

The Bayern Munich move has really worked out for him. Wouldn’t get these kinds of numbers in a PL team.

He deserves it. It was a tough pick this year, as usually you get an obvious winner from the World Cup/Euros or Champions League, and we didn’t have that
dantowen819511w ago
Fabian Ruiz probably the only guy who falls into both categories. So Kane for me is a fair winner
kyle.dimond1w ago
It feels right that he now has that one major accolade. He’s been too good for too long. Bayern move has been fantastic for him

Well deserved! Nice to see an Englishman win it
kilham.max1w ago
So well deserved. Did his talking on the pitch.

incredible

Yamal will have his time. He would have won it with a better World Cup, but it felt like he was playing catch up with fitness

Arise, Sir Harry! 🗡️🧎
james.brooke1w ago
Lewandowski should be fuming right now
adnan.riaz1w ago
That was an utter farce from France Football. There was zero justification for writing that off.
james.brooke1w ago
Only highlights how weak the year was really. Banged in hat tricks against poor Bundesliga teams, didn’t manage to fire Bayern to the Champions League and spectacularly failed to turn up in the quarter and semi final (arguably RO16 too) at the World Cup
markmarston1w ago
13 Champions League goals in 14 games… cmon James! Give the man his flowers. 73 goals in 2026
adnan.riaz1w ago
The Ballon d’Or should be merited on individual brilliance, not how many trophies the team won overall. He was unreal in the calendar year.
edd1w ago
73 goals in just 65 appearances says it all. Absolutely on fire 🔥🔥
adnan.riaz1w ago
Only Lionel Messi has done better. It says a lot about how unreal Harry Kane’s season was. 👏🔥

Amazing achievement. Legacy defining award for Kane.
adnan.riaz1w ago
Knighthood is defo incoming. 🔜 👀
peter.lynch1w ago
Very well deserved from Kane, definitely the best striker going right now… not a bad goalkeeper either 😉
adnan.riaz1w ago
Should have won the Yashin award as well. 😂
lee.connor1w ago
Unbelievable achievement and one of football and seemingly life’s good guys. He is some player. England’s greatest ever player? I think he might actually be it you know.
adnan.riaz1w ago
He’s making a real claim for the England one. Still think Charlton is ahead of him because, you know, winning a World Cup and that.
dale.odonnell1w ago
Still gutted United didn't sign Kane and were left with Hojlund...
adnan.riaz1w ago
Thanks for the early Halloween scare.
dancoombs1w ago
So glad Man Utd saved £40m and signed Hojlund instead in 2023. Great deal
adnan.riaz1w ago
What a bleak world we live in as Man Utd fans. 🥲

Well overdue for a really nice guy. If everyone was like Harry then the world would be a better place 👏
adnan.riaz1w ago
You can’t fault him at all. No controversies. Puts in a shift as a footballer. A real model for so many. 👏👏👏
daviescallum421w ago
Yeasss! Well deserved 🐐🐐🐐
adnan.riaz1w ago
Football might not have come home, but Harry brought home France’s biggest prize. 🦁🏆
jordan.ellis1w ago
Couldn’t be happier for the fella. Looked like he’d retire trophyless, now he’s a ballon dor winner.
adnan.riaz1w ago
His turnaround for silverware will be studied. That move away from Spurs was perfectly timed. 🔥
brook0101w ago
👏👏 can’t argue with that! Very well deserved
adnan.riaz1w ago
It was never a debate. His individual brilliance was unmatched this season.
markmarston1w ago
I watched Harry Kane when he joined Leicester on loan in 2013. I could tell he had a good strike on him, always great technique… but never ever thought he’d be much more than a Championship striker. To go on to win the Ballon d’Or is just incredible. We’ll done Sir Harry 👏👏
adnan.riaz1w ago
An incredible risk from Kane. It breaks my heart that Man Utd never signed him.
callum_boyle1w ago
Harry ‘does nothing’ Kane winning a Ballon d’Or. Chuffed for the kid

jackgallagher1w ago
Well deserved, the numbers don't lie this year
adnan.riaz1w ago
It’s actually crazy. If he didn’t win it, then it would have been daylight robbery.
jonathan.gorrie1w ago
To win it in London too! What a story. 👏
adnan.riaz1w ago
Loved the Wembley arch being lit to mark the occasion, too. A real success story for England. 🦁🏴
tom.procter1w ago
Absolutely amazing. So happy for him. 100% deserved!
adnan.riaz1w ago
One of the best strikers in the world and one of the last to be a true forward in football.
jordan.harris1w ago
Incredible achievement!
adnan.riaz1w ago
dancoombs1w ago
👏wow. Well deserved
adnan.riaz1w ago
What could have been at United, eh? 🥲🥲🥲

ARISEEEEEE SIR HARRY 🐐🏆
