Harry Kane, Lamine Yamal, Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi are among the favourites for the Ballon d'Or. Who do you think will win it and why?

Kane on top, then a big distance, then the other two. Good luck Harry!

I have a feeling Kane misses out. I don't think the fervour felt behind his case in England and Germany is as widely felt elsewhere

Some serious contenders here… but I think it’s Kane’s time, he really can do it all, but most importantly scores goals ⚽️

Love Kane but he doesn’t impact games at the very top level. Not saying he can’t or that he’d be a bad winner as such but the really really really big games pass him by. Same with Mbappe since joining Madrid. Kvara was the best player in the latter stages of the UCL, surely the highest level of football around?!

Maybe ‘impact’ is harsh but truly dominate I mean

Feels like Kane’s last chance. Yamal will win it several times in the future

If it’s not Kane - just write the ballon d’Or off as nothing more than a popularity contest. He’s objectively been the best. 73 goals in 2026…. that stat doesn’t even look real. He might even get to Lionel Messi’s unprecedented tally of 91 goals in 2012.

It's got to be Kane. His goals and assists far outweigh the other candidates this year

I think it’s going to be Kane. Incredible goal record and obviously won a few trophies in Germany. Wouldn’t be too surprised if it’s Yamal, but think Mbappe/Messi would be a bit undeserved imo
