United now plan for the new stadium to be ready for 2035 - What do you think about this?

It will generate cash like no other facility in the world of football. Retail/entertainment 7 days a week. United will also get developers profits on around 6-8000 flats. They need to get cracking before sunny Jim pegs out!

Shorten the construction timeliness sounds a bit like cutting corners something we don't need for the money we're supposedly shelling out for the stadium but cutting out that circus tent style canopy is the first thing they can do

I don't think we should leave old Trafford at all. This is an unnecessary vanity project for the owners. The supporters will suffer as prices will go up. Old Trafford is the spiritual home of Manchester United and is plenty big enough.

Yeah I think this is quite a popular belief among the fanbase... would be a real shame to demolish Old Trafford

I don't think we should go for the 100k capacity no team comes near us now with a 75k, so why not build an 80k stadium with the potential of adding another 10k if wanted? the cost will come down for starters, the surrounding ground now has been sorted hopefully now there are no more hurdles.

Yeah they seem really set on this 100k target... but there are very few stadiums around the world that have made it work

I can’t fathom why it’s going to take so long! Universal are planning on building an entire theme park, hotels and infrastructure in the UK by 2031?! What’s going to take United an extra 4 years on top of that? 🤔 or is it simply down to 💸?

Far loo long. It could/should be no more than 2 years. Get on with it!

Well construction was supposed to start in 2025 and here we are talking about a land purchase and planning permission… it’s going to take a long, long time

The Hard Rock Stadium in Miami looks fantastic, remodeled in 2015-17 $650m replaced every seat closer to the pitch, a massive open air canopy roof to protect 92% of fans from the elements, and four giant HD video boards in the corners of the stadium, outside looks like a giant rectangle but have you seen those 4 tall pylons in the corners, better than ours?

I think regardless of what design United go for, it's going to quite Americanised. But funding is the big issue, we're building from scratch so we need investors

It will be very fantastic stadium ever

I would like to still be alive to see us in a new stadium, getting rid of that tent would save a few million. Can't we just build next to OT knocking down as we go? we have had room for years we still have the biggest stadium in Eng after Wembley can't we do something with it?
