Lisandro Martinez sees RED as Manchester United LOSE to Chelsea: What is your INSTANT REACTION?
What does this defeat mean for Michael Carrick? The players keep letting him down...
joecut13d ago
It was sickening how Lisandro Martinez let his manager, his teammates, and the fans down against Chelsea. His stupidity ruined United’s revival this season. The team's first-half play gave us hope. With Martinez, there was always a danger he could ruin it for us. He did. Two bookable offences in just 90 minutes. Unbelievable!

Martinez once again shows who he really is, a hack. The Butcher is just that and its time to sit him and unload him in January.
homoar4d ago
why not put on Lacey to try improve the finishing, as none in the team knows how to score
matthew.johns5d ago
It just keeps going from bad to worse for United, I don’t think the blame lies with him but Carrick’s days are numbered…
stephenjholmes14d ago
I really want Michael to succeed. He is making it impossible though. He keeps using the same underperforming dross, and yet never tried a different approach. Academy players CAN make a difference. We don't need to have a team full of them, but Lacey, and Amass even being given a chance would be a start. Don't change, and nothing changes!
james.brooke5d ago
Unsurprising really. Don’t think Chelsea have been as bad as their fans are making out. Roma is a big one now. Very winnable CL game. Clearly they want to back Carrick, or just don’t have a viable alternative, otherwise he’d be gone already. Europe could give a platform to build from again or could sink them even lower
stephenjholmes14d ago
They will play the kids against Roma. We will win, and every one of the academy players will get 10 out of 10 rating, then they will never step foot on the grass again! Sound familiar?

Is that poor fella ever going to be able to cut his hair?

jonathan.gorrie5d ago
Martinez has checked out. Thinks he's above it. Fine to slam Wilcox but at least get your own house in order! Dreadful
paulsworld715d ago
Martinez has already decided he wants out and as soon as he can. He wants Atletico. If he plays, it’s like knowing you have a fifth column in your team who can let you down at any moment.
caleb.sage5d ago
Football is fine margins man. United could have easily won that game in the first half.
stephenjholmes14d ago
We could have won against Brighton, but it just seems that we are determined to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in every game.
stephenjholmes15d ago
I cant wait to be playing against Bolton again next season. It's like going back in time to the inception of the Premier league !
lrandall12105d ago
He’s always been a liability
daviescallum425d ago
What an idiot, I’d be furious with Martinez if I was a United fan.
shamanth.jayaram5d ago
Should Wilcox come out and question Martinez now? Sadly, Carrick has to go and these players need someone they fear. Conte is that man
stephenjholmes14d ago
The only thing Wilcox needs to say is goodbye. I actually thing Boris Johnson would be better than Wilcox, and I despise that dirty blue ba57ard. We have been destroyed as a club since SAF, and the clueless board are putting the final nails in our coffin ⚰️
antonymmartin845d ago
Poor from him to even give the ref a decision to make, but…that was so, so soft.
stephenjholmes15d ago
@antonymmartin84 there was nothing soft about that. The ball wasn't even in the same postcode when he threw himself at the player. Their was zero defence to his lunge. Especially considering he had just been carded anyway.
jjflash4225d ago
It was so soft but totally inept defending.Since when does a defender not look at the oppo in the box and just crash into him.It was stonewall,he's checked out.
kyle.dimond5d ago
Never liked Martinez’s attitude but an awful showing from him today. Doesn’t feel like the players have much faith in Carrick or belief that they can turn bad situations around.
geldroper5d ago
Get rid of that loser as quick as possible. He planned this because a hit like that mkes no sense. He is doing everything in his power to get sold and get rid of MC. He was the 12th man on Chelsea and any other team
febced15d ago
Let him leave immediately, as his negative attitude is not helping anyone. He's just going through the motions. Carrick must also go as he has offers ZERO managerial expertise.
dancoombs5d ago
I really do think the club will push to try and sell him in January
luksricky5d ago
I have realised today that it's not MC, rather these imbecile players.. fk
dancoombs5d ago
Yeah, I know the results aren’t improving but I don’t really see how they could sack him after that.
jordan.harris5d ago
Martinez should never get to play for the club again. Embarrassing
deansexton465d ago
Bruno needs to go to
dancoombs5d ago
He should have scored in the first half. So wasteful. Complete lack of composure
deansexton465d ago
we need 2 strikes in January and the a new team starting with Wilkox gone
james.brooke5d ago
Which two strikers could you realistically get in January who are good enough? I doubt there’ll even be one available
seanfisher5d ago
Yep, if any change of manager is made (it should) then it HAS to be joined by Wilcox leaving
seanfisher5d ago
There is a real rot in this team, attitude problems just spreading throughout the squad. Feel for Carrick, but also don’t see him as the guy to turn it all around, so hard to see where we go next? Conte?
dancoombs5d ago
I don't think they have the bottle for Conte. But who knows, they may get desperate
dancoombs5d ago
The players have let Michael Carrick down again. I do think his job will be safe for the next couple of games vs Roma and Aston Villa at least, despite ANOTHER defeat
seanfisher5d ago
Do you really think he can turn it around with two extra games though? I just don’t see it getting any better sadly
dale.odonnell5d ago
Martinez has let everyone down and should never play for United again. Collapsed after a strong first-half display.
kyle.archer5d ago
Carrick's refusal to even look at Martinez as he headed down the tunnel should be a sign that he will not feature again for a very long time, but do Man Utd have enough alternatives to freeze him out?
dancoombs5d ago
At least he is suspended next weekend. I doubt he starts vs Roma either
david.comerford5d ago
Carrick won't survive much longer but that loss was on the players. The lack of discipline in the 2nd half shows they've given up on this manager
chillout5d ago
Hopefully he will get a decent payoff. I can’t see Carrick getting another Premier League any time soon. Might be a job to do at West Ham soon.
