@glstark16 has asked the question every single Argentina and England fan will be asking themselves right now.

France’s ego played in to Spain’s hands. Thought they could get the ball back, when they couldn’t, and they weren’t patient enough to let Spain have the ball uncontested for periods

Bit of both. Off day for France
@dancoombs is confident England will be facing Spain in the final!

Shocked! Thought France would win this one, but goodness me they were terrible! Fully deserved winners 🇪🇸

I always thought Spain were the most complete team in the tournament. Played France off the pitch 👏

Spain are one of those sides who look pretty average & then when you face them you realise they’re absolutely outstanding at all the little details. They are deceptively good aren’t they. That midfield is a joke and the fact they’ve managed to reach the final with a semi fit Yamal is frightening. They’ll be the favourites vs England/Argentina
87' - Mbappe takes on a free kick on the edge of the area...
...And ballooned it over the bar. Sums France up really.

I actually thought France had it nailed coming into this game..... A shadow of what we've seen throughout the tournament Shocker. Well done España
seanfisher82d ago
Can’t believe how poor they’ve been up front 😬
80' - Well...that was really poor from Doue.
Unai Simon rushed out again to a through ball but his clearance only found Doue in the final third. The sub took way too long to have a pop with the goal gaping and when he did, he just didn't hit it - tamely tapping it at Simon instead.
jonny82d ago
Really poor from France, think it’s more a case they’ve struggled than Spain have been great.
75' - Great analysis from @stuart57mac here.

73' - Oyarzabal has been replaced by Ferran.

72' - Is that the worst you've ever seen Olise play?
dancoombs82d ago
I’m going to guess it’s up there with a few of his early Reading days
68' - Hydration break. France need a miracle here, not water.

67' - The first sight of goal from Mbappe! Finally!
And he creates it himself, dropping the shoulder and rifling just past the post with a low effort. If France are to do this, it looks like he'll have to do it himself.
gramorris82d ago
0 shots on goal for France’s lauded attack - OUCH!!
66' - Despite the goal from Porro and the Real Madrid move for Cucurella, @kieranjpdoody isn't impressed!
jamie.brown8282d ago
🇪🇸 The best RB in Europe
64' - Our TalkingPoints optimist @dancoombs is still hoping for a high-scoring affair.

Can’t be having Spain winning a World Cup with Porro and Cucerella as full backs
gramorris82d ago
😂
63' - @jonny has had his say!
gramorris82d ago
All the experts will be making out like they never backed France to the hilt.
62' - Here's that brilliant goal from Porro.
stuart57mac82d ago
France look rattled, not their normal composure in midfield. Spain look like they are enjoying the French press because as soon as they win the ball back they can get at an unsettled French defense.
61' - OFFSIDE GOAL FROM YAMAL!
dancoombs82d ago
Great finish, really would have been game over if that counted. Huge whoever gets the next goal
60' - We're an hour in, Spain are 2-0 up. Give us your thoughts on any and everything below (football related of course) 👇
dancoombs82d ago
Last time they were 2-0 down in the World Cup the game finished 3-3. Any chance?
jonny82d ago
France been so disappointing, not even completing simple passes. Pressure got to them? Or were they just flat track bullies?
58' - GOALLL! SPAIN DOUBLE THEIR LEAD
dancoombs82d ago
Great play from Olmo and the finish from Porro, so good. France have a mountain to climb
callum_boyle82d ago
Spain are different gravy. Never associate them with being so stubborn defensively but they’ve got their game plan perfectly at the back and going forward. Hardly mentioned the French attack
gramorris82d ago
France being shown up at the moment
56' - Finally! Doue has come on for France. He's replaced Barcola.

50' - Much of the same early in this half. Spain confident; France sloppy.
dantowen8195182d ago
Spain look like they’ve got an extra player, on and off the ball
46' - A half-time sub for France as Kone replaced the yellow carded Rabiot.

They set the stall out with Messi on match day one haha

🚨HALF-TIME! Give us your thoughts on that first half below 👇
stuart57mac82d ago
France looking a bit out of sorts. Not the normal composed midfield press. Spain looking composed at the moment
jonny82d ago
Am I the only one that doesn’t think it should have been a penalty? Yamal snuck up behind him and jumped into the way of his clearance, buying a penalty
gorriejonathan82d ago
Rodri starting to look like he did pre injury! Still think both England and Argentina would outscore them in a final though, if they could get the ball off them

45' - Six minutes to be added on at the end of the half.
dancoombs82d ago
Hmm. Need a lot of goals in the second half if we are going to get another 5-4
dantowen8195182d ago
Spain just look so mush like a team who have been here, done this, and won exactly these kinds of games
42' - Unai Simon did very well to get to a through ball before Kylian Mbappe.
jamie.brown8282d ago
Unreal keeping, proves why he is in over Raya!
