2 from 2 and in some style too a great start to the season although still a lot to do! Hat trick aside Barry had an excellent night and who knew he could not only run but good positioning too? Pedestrian defence is a worry and "IF" Tarky and Keane are to be the go too pairing they both need a rope stopping them going forward, absolutely no pace to get back!!

Totally Correct, problem is now he is virtually guaranteed a starting place Unbelievable decision by a complete Dinosaur

lawrenceduffy5538d ago

Thats why to let O'brien leave is ridiculous him and Branthwaite should be the centre backs for at least the next 5 years Tarks is an accident waiting to happen and Keane is simply not good enough The board should be telling Moyes that he has to play O'brien and Branthwaite

Another good draw for Everton or a potential banana skin? 🫣

celliselectrical37d ago

Totally agree there any decent ball in he fluffs it, not a good striker yet, but may help him get more confidence

Well impressed with the Preston Game and the fact that we started with a very good strong squad and it can only get better in the words of a song but Moysey has a plan and its starting to work , Maybe Andy Burnham can find us a brilliant left back and also a brilliant forward lol , Its Handy having Andy Lol.

Who impressed you most aside from the hat-trick hero, Thierno Barry? 🔥

ptrckbennett39d ago

KDH all night long!!! What a pass to set up a very well taken goal.. a brilliant example of his reading of and awareness of the flow of the game in real time!💙💙💙

anthonymanley195639d ago

KDH was outstanding him and armstrong looking good in midfield

robi39d ago

Honourable mention for Armstrong and Rohl. Harrison looking better every game and Merlin very tidy at right back (bar that slip up which almost cost us)

Full-time at Deepdale. Everton progress to the third round of the Carabao Cup, with a really impressive showing!

calum_jones39d ago

Let’s hope we get a decent draw and keep pushing! 🔥

calum_jones39d ago

Certainly worked hard there as well. Don’t think there was anyone who didn’t impress on that pitch todsy.

calum_jones39d ago

Really pleased for Barry there. Looked better and better after each goal, hopefully lifts his confidence up more now and he keeps it up

Half-time at Deepdale as Everton take the lead into the break.

calum_jones39d ago

Didn’t think Mykolenko would lay that off to Barry then, thought he would have took it himself to be fair

markmarston39d ago

KDH… that pass. What a player he is… gets better and better doesn’t he

gramorris39d ago

Wonder how long before Moyes starts making changes? Might see Garner make way for Alcaraz

No place for Jake O'Brien either... What does this mean for his future at Everton?

calum_jones39d ago

Just don’t understand it. Just why??

markmarston39d ago

Feel for the lad… clearly told Moyes he wants to considered as a CB and he gets bombed out the squad?! What kind of management is that? Just gives the club more of a headache to find a replacement and spend funds on an area that shouldn’t need addressing. If it means the club fail to sign a stiker as a result that’s a disgrace I’m sorry

brogan39d ago

Utterly baffling situation. Would have O’Brien over Keane (and even Tarkowski) at CB all day of the week

Your starting XI to take on PNE. No space in the XI for Brennan Johnson just yet...

calum_jones39d ago

Preston North End Bench: Iversen, Clarke, Lindsay, Devine, McCann, Lang, Hughes, Gryba, Nolan Anyone on the bench you think can come on and make the difference?

calum_jones39d ago

Preston North End Starting 11: Nicholls, Valentín, Vukčević, Erabi, Small, Storey, Thompson, Gibson (C), Moran, Leroy, Burgzorg Anyone here you think can cause Everton some problems?

markmarston39d ago

Big chance for Dibling tonight… fancy him to get his first goal for the club

Do hope we continue with more or less the same strong team to ensure consistency and learning each others moves etc but rest branthwaite or replace early so as to manage his health whilst also keeping 1’brien happy. Rhol did marvelous at right back at the weekend.

dusters2139d ago

I Hope the gaffer puts a strong team out tonight for his sake .
