Tonight's win gave us another four. We have now played 4 games. We have 4 Premier League points. And a+4 goal difference. We scored 4 , and got our first clean sheet. I think we will be alright!

2025/26 was a gr8 season.A repeat of 24/25 & we would b facing ruin.E1 needs to understand that we are on the pathway to recovery that the next 2-3 seasons are focused on UCL Qual-we need the riches of the UCL if we pick up a trophy on the way gr8. I hate the thought of settling for top 4 finish but thats the reality £1.4 billion of Glazer debt brings

I know we’re conceding too many goals but my god I’ll take a 5-2 over the relentless boredom of recent eras!

Lisandro Martinez hilariously avoids Jamie Carragher question
Speaking to CBS Sports after Manchester United's 4-0 win over Sabah, Lisandro Martinez was asked about Jamie Carragher as a player. His response was priceless! 😂
thetruthpersonified24d ago
We this was a case of Dumb and Dumber..
dancoombs24d ago
A shame Martinez had to speak to that prat in the first place

Michael Carrick on Kobbie Mainoo
dale.odonnell24d ago
Stark contrast in management from Carrick and Amorim. It's exactly what he needed. Remember, a year ago, we were all wondering whether he had a future at Old Trafford.

Carrick deserves credit for taking Mainoo up a gear tbf

We are so lucky to have him. This is the player you build around

Give us your verdict on Patrick Dorgu's performance at left-back...
Do you believe Dorgu can properly challenge Luke Shaw as a starter at the position?
paulashrig1621d ago
No, he's all over the place. Worth trying Amass
camerondesc123d ago
Good outing but I still just don’t think he’s good enough at all.
geoffrey47ives23d ago
We have to give some young players a chance as some of our older players maguire and shaw i hate to say are getting to old and have been good servants but need to be changed

Benjamin Sesko speaks after United's win
dale.odonnell24d ago
Two goals in as many games. Not bad for a player who missed every pre-season match due to injury.

Lisandro Martinez became the fourth Argentine to score in the Champions League for United Can you name the other three?
dale.odonnell24d ago
Veron, Tevez, Martinez... and Di Maria?
dantowen8195124d ago
I remember Veron scoring a lovely effort against Olympiakos years back - stumped with the other two! Heinze maybe? Rojo?
Vote for your Manchester United man of the match vs Sabah
Lots of strong candidates to choose from!

Mainoo for me, just superb in that midfield.

Kobie manua had a good game and the defence had a good game i would not change anything and a hard choice with sesco or rashford start with sesco and then rashford very hard choice but feel carick will make a good choice

A very successful Champions League return!

Great result but there is still work to do up front,Sesko is our only trusted striker but I feel since we failed to buy a striker maybe Rashford is a better option upfront than Cunha or Mbeumo and if Amad come back Mbeumo could be benched so that he find his form

Everyone appears to be getting carried away by a nice result against a very average team. We should have scored at least another 3 goals. I have serious worries about our next couple of games against stronger opponents. I cannot see our defense being able to hold out.

geldroper24d ago
Too many bad passes to a team like that. They actually could have scored twice because again some bad defending from Dorgu and Marz. The rest was good
This is really how we should have started the Prem season vs Hull. I’m still not over it…
seanfisher24d ago
Imagine if we miss out on anything by 3 points. Could be a haunting result
theworm24d ago
Need more conviction to ease your dissatisfaction You gonna get it when will thump on that Sunday match with victory
chillout24d ago
These opponents are probably the equivalent of Hull City.
Harry Amass and Shea Lacey ON
dale.odonnell24d ago
Good to see the two lads getting minutes in the Champions League. Helps that we're leading 4- 0.
dancoombs24d ago
Great choice, we’d be moaning if neither got a chance!

GOAL! Lisandro Martinez scores from close range 4-0
It came after Joshua Zirkzee's backheel attempt was blocked from a Bruno Fernandes free-kick, Mix-up by the goalkeeper and Martinez takes advantage.

Hilarious goal! Up the Reds!
Sesko and Mainoo OFF and Zirkzee and Santos ON
dancoombs24d ago
Happy to see Santos and Zirkzee getting minutes
Thoughts on giving Bruno a small rest and trying a 3-man midfield of Mainoo, Mount and Santos?
jonny24d ago
Not sure we need such a pragmatic midfield at 3-0
dancoombs24d ago
I’m all for it. No need for Bruno to play 90 here
Second half begins with Mason Mount on for United
Youri Tielemans makes way.
dale.odonnell24d ago
Santos to replace Mainoo after the hour mark?
dancoombs24d ago
Surprised it’s Mount and not Santos but probably not long until he joins him
♥ 1
Mainoo and Tielemans are growing game-by-game as a patnership, but games like this suit them as a pairing. Another goal or two from the Reds - on top of a first clean sheet of the season - would be nice. C’mon. 😎
dantowen8195124d ago
Tielemans was unbelievable - he makes it look so easy, which I love cause we’ve had plenty of midfielders who made it look very hard 🤣

Half-time 3-0 to United
theworm24d ago
Perfect 100% Sesko drifting high on that frontline
vatsal24d ago
Rest. Rest. Rest. Get Mainoo off, Mbeumo off, Bruno off, Licha off.
dancoombs24d ago
I’d love to see Lacey get 45 mins now and rest Mbeumo for the derby
GOOOOALLLL!!! And it's 3-0!
The floodgates are open, Benjamin Sesko scores! Sesko beats the offside trap to latch onto Mbeumo's pass and round the goalkeeper before scoring. This is some way to return to the Champions League!
dale.odonnell24d ago
Just what Sesko needed before the derby. 2 goals in 2. 🙌🏻

geldroper24d ago
And that is why Sesko has to play

GOOOOALLLL! 2-0 to United
Bruno Fernandes makes it 2-0 to United after a cutback from Youri Tielemans. Lovely to see them making a connection, and United double the lead before half-time.

Matheus Cunha gives United the lead from close range after a cross from Patrick Dorgu
geldroper24d ago
Where the heck is our right back He is nowhere to be seen but late. At the moment he would get a 3 from me. The whole team is just playing to slow
dancoombs24d ago
More goals to come!
vatsal24d ago
Been too long since we surfed at Old Trafford. Good to see the waves back!
18- United dominating but yet to really test the goalkeeper
dale.odonnell24d ago
The first United goal is coming...
After that famous Champions League anthem, the game is underway!
🔴🔴🔴
dale.odonnell24d ago
The Champions League anthem was deeply missed at Old Trafford. The Europa League version doesn't have the same kick to it - very much the Temu version.
Another game on the bench for Zirkzee
Surely he will get some minutes tonight?

I am hoping for a convincing scoreline here, build some huge confidence in that frontline ahead of the derby! I am backing Benjamin Sesko to score a hat-trick here… Any bold predictions ahead of kick-off? 🕰🔴⚪️⚫️
dale.odonnell24d ago
Would love to see it 😎
dancoombs24d ago
Wow I hope you are right with that. My bold prediction is a 7-1 win

Carrick sets out intentions
dale.odonnell24d ago
An early goal could crush Sabah, who aren't used to playing in 76k+ capacity stadiums.
Carrick on Sabah
dale.odonnell24d ago
Spot on. It would be naive to underestimate any team in the Champions League after such a miserable run in the competition in 2023 - finishing last in a group consisting of Bayern Munich, Copenhagen, and Galatasaray.
Carrick on Shaw

Fingers crossed this isn't another 'minor' setback that turns into a long spell in the treatment room.

Man Utd Line-up CONFIRMED vs Sabah
seanfisher24d ago
Love having Sesko back! Really strong line up tbh
thetruthpersonified24d ago
Feel a bit for Santos. Lad moved to play more and is in same position. Proves himself in pre-season and now rides bench. Poor form Carrick.
amirmir24d ago
Good to see Tielemans starting again. Even if he looks leggy, he needs start after start after start to really show what he is about. Plus, it suits him better with Mainoo beside him than Santos.

United's most shocking Champions League losses ever
camerondesc124d ago
Gotta be Istanbul in 2020, a real headscratcher that one
♥ 1
vatsal24d ago
Not really "shocking" but I felt so deflated when Mourinho's Utd surrendered limply to Sevilla at Old Trafford, sparking the (in)famous "Football Heritage" rant. New low for Utd to get eliminated like that then your manager spends 11 mins explaining why you're shit.
dancoombs25d ago
Basaksehir was embarrassing but the 1-0 to Fenerbahce in 96 shocked me the most, we had never lost at home before that
