How BIG a game is tonight's for Nuno? What would another loss mean? 🤔
dancoombs1mo ago
I don’t think this game matters much Win in the league, that’s important
caleb.sage1mo ago
Promotion this season is all that matters.
james.brooke1mo ago
Another loss would mean the pressure is really on, but I don’t think it would necessarily mean anything else. Losing away at Southampton can happen and the cup just isn’t a priority.
adnan.riaz1mo ago
Considering the way football goes nowadays, yeah, do-or-die time, innit.
brogan1mo ago
Needs a win but surely a loss wouldn’t cost him his job? Who would they get in to replace him if they felt he wasn’t the right man???
dantowen819511mo ago
Scott Parker is there though, without a job. Think he’s exactly the type a board who want an immediate impact would turn to

Hoisting a cup at the end of the season Will mean sweet f all to fans if promotion isnt secured. Focus on the league
billy.meyers1mo ago
Do NOT go full strength. After a woeful start they need to get out of this competition ASAP and focus on promotion In terms of Nuno’s future, nonsense to suggest a dismissal already. He knows how to get a club up as he showed at Wolves
alan.mayo511mo ago
Winning and losing can both become habit forming so I think we should go all out for a win but we are definitely second favourites.
markmarston1mo ago
Totally agree, spot on!
kyle.archer1mo ago
Another defeat would certainly be a blow, and Nuno will know that he needs results against Southampton tonight and at Watford on Saturday to ensure that London Stadium is not too hostile for his own players against Wolves when they next play at home.
callum_boyle1mo ago
I mean the cup doesn’t really matter but if they lose to Watford then a very real conversation needs to be had. Then again, who is out there that will be good? Scott Parker will be the favourite but you’re just waiting for him to be sacked in a years’ time
markmarston1mo ago
There’s just no one better than Nuno out there is there?
josh.barker1mo ago
League Cup games are pretty meaningless for Championship teams, a win would be nice but the weekend should absolutely be the priority. Imagine starting Bowen in this then he’s injured for the Champ, Nuno would get pelters
chillout1mo ago
Bowen won’t get injured - you have to get involved in the game to do that !!
george.patten1mo ago
Another loss and he could be in trouble. Surprised he stayed when they went down, wonder if he’s regretting that already
dale.odonnell1mo ago
If they lose, Nuno is being pushed out the door. Far from an ideal start to the season.
dakir.thanveer1mo ago
Massive in terms of changing the mood but wouldn't say he'll be sacked if he loses
chillout1mo ago
If he loses tonight, he will lose the dressing room too. Then it will be over. Whatever happens, I think it’s unlikely he will still be manager by the international break.
leeclarke05081mo ago
Nuno loses tonight his agent will be on the phone to Saudi.... Again...
will.butcher1mo ago
Carabao Cup doesn’t matter. If he loses tonight and wins on the weekend, faith will be restored
freddie1mo ago
Simply have to win on he’s in big trouble! Not feeling confident tho!
antonymmartin841mo ago
Huge. Nuno doesn’t wanna be there. I think a loss tonight and failure to win this weekend could be the end of him
dantowen819511mo ago
Would you take Parker?
jameslloyd14.jl1mo ago
Obviously they should be looking to win it, but it’s a tough cup tie away at a good side. The pressure will really ramp up if they lose in the league away at Watford on Saturday
charlesjones1mo ago
It will click eventually even if it’s not tonight. Be patient
freddie1mo ago
Can’t afford to be in this league!
markmarston1mo ago
Find it ridiculous that a manager is under pressure after two games. I respect everyone’s views but cmon…
chillout1mo ago
Mark - this is the guy who took us down - it is not just two games; this is a where we are following his performance over a period of months.
seanfisher1mo ago
The alarm bells are already ringing, but another loss would cause chaos at West Ham. Pressure is on. Time to get back on track.
chillout1mo ago
Seems crazy that this game is already high stakes - but after an awful start to the Championship season, Nuno badly needs a win to change the mood music. He also needs to select his strongest team. If he doesn’t, and we lose, he won’t make it to the international break. Mind you, even if he picks his strongest team and loses, he is dead man walking anyway.
seanfisher1mo ago
I don't think West Ham will hesitate to pull the trigger and sack him if he doesn't win soon
dantowen819511mo ago
For me, this is massive. I don’t think Nuno really has the chance to rotate heavily either, given how the Charlton game went Having said that, I’d still give Mayers a chance and would start Diouf, maybe bring in Mukasa as well for a bit of extra creativity
