Decent fight back against Millwall, and in the second automatic promotion slot. We’d have taken that a couple of weeks ago, going into the international break. But the fan jury remains out on Nuno - frustration at his negative tactics, slow starts and ponderous demeanour. I think he’s earned more time, but it won’t take much for the knives to come back out.

Said it from the start - Nuno will get this side promoted. Any gaffer could. Easiest job in English football right now

Nuno is and always was the man for the hammers to get back up imo. That team is too good not to get back up, so he’s definitely under huge pressure

chillout2w ago

But he was brought in as the man to ensure we didn’t go down in the first place !

Difficult to see how it lasts long term, given there has long been a sense he's not a great fit for the club. Still, for now, there's no point thinking too far ahead, there's not that luxury. Just get promoted and worry about the rest later (easier said than done of course)

chillout2w ago

Even if he gets us promotion, he gas to be given his cards at season’s end.

I personally cannot stand his management style. Far too negative, although in fairness to him he does seem to have learned since the Burnley draw. I just find it so hard to get behind someone who has the personality of a slug. Not my cuppa but I’m willing to give him a chance

chillout2w ago

Yeah - I think that is exactly where I am.

eoin2w ago

I back him to take West ham Up automatically, was looking a bit shaky at the start of the season but the quality IS now showing

I wonder who West Ham fans would prefer than Nuno, though? Corberan would be good but they’d be unhappy with his style I imagine. Maybe Scott Parker?

chillout2w ago

Yeah - Scott or Eddie. Maybe McKenna.

markmarston2w ago

They won’t get a better manager than Nuno at this level

jordan.harris2w ago

Yeah I think it’s a good sign that West Ham are in the top two and yet to hit top gear. It’s a very very long season

jamie.theodosi2w ago

With the squad West Ham have, they HAVE to get automatic promotion. Anything else is an absolute failiure

chillout2w ago

I think we will - but I would like to do that without the distraction of more management turmoil.

markmarston2w ago

As Martin O’Neil famously said when he was Leicester manager… you’re always three games away from the sack

chillout2w ago

He probably doesn’t need to be reminded of that at this moment !!
