Actually, the belt will require more than a bloodline and his current skills- today's Champions are so much more improved, so many more skills they master. He certainly would have his work cut out for him.

He's not Islam or Kabib but its not over. He's a top tier fighter. Everyone thought it was over for Yan after he lost the belt but he got it back.

I don't see a way that they don't run back Yan vs O'Malley if he beats Merab in October. At the same time, I don't think O'Malley vs Merab 3 makes much sense so Song needs to be backing Merab all the way. He's got a great chance of getting the next shot in that case

He definitely has the *thing" that Dana is always talking about... I love his energy and the way he adjusted to adversity in his debut but gotta see a little more before his name and the word champion are in the same sentence together

He's definitely up there as one of the most exciting prospects. Couple question marks in the debut but ended it with a brilliant finish. With how good he is while still being young, I think future champion isn't a wild prediction.

I've got a sneaky feeling Song is going to pull off an upset. He's been falling short against the best at BW for a while now, but he's obviously a top fighter himself.
