I’m not so sure Brighton should. I think if the club can do a deal where they have a buy-back clause inserted or a hefty sell-on, go for it. I can’t see him making much of an impact in the PL this season. Such a big jump from Bolton

I love them selling Spurs a CB and buying a cheaper, younger one off them. Brighton’s model but using Spurs as a one-stop shop. Fantastic.

Brighton’s recruitment model is one you should never criticise. Paul Barber runs the club incredibly well. Vuskovic will be a hit, and he’ll be sold for profit Rinse and repeat transfer business for Brighton nowadays

If you listen to Bundesliga fans, Vuskovic was an absolute revelation at Hamburg. One of the best CBs in the whole league and such a leader aged just 18. He’s easily the sort of player who could go for £100m in two years

You can sense the state of the market by how much Brighton are having to pay. Ordinarily they’d have sold JPVH for £50m and replaced him with a £15-20m gem. Just makes me wonder how much the club who buy Vuskovic from them is going to have to pay…

Given how the market is, you cannot really blame them. Van Hecke was among the best defenders in the Premier League last season. He’s 25, likely to hit his prime in a few years. I understand their POV.

I think Europe every couple seasons is a dream really, though I think they should be chasing a cup more. Would surely be nice to keep at least one good player away from Chelsea too 🤣
