Reckon Everton can hold their position until January or will there be a drop off?

Always been a Barry fan, as there's more to his game than scoring and few youngsters score tons on Premiership entry. Is a risk of breaking him though, far too much weight on his shoulders - we should have 4 recognised forwards. Why not? Most others do. Good start this year, a lot will depend on Jan as first team lacks major back up - midfield good though!

tom.procter1w ago

He has been improving. What’s great to see is the link-up play is a lot better and also his body language. I hope this period will be make and not break for him - undoubtedly he should not have been put in this position. January will be huge! Yeah midfield looking good, great to see the proper emergence of Armstrong

colinjmarsden1w ago

Sart to Season goodowner Freikin. don't. recognise that the players are the main asset of the clubs future with winning results on the pitch

tom.procter1w ago

Squad has been left painfully short. Although the players are doing a good job so far and seemingly they’re actually using the situation as fuel. Need to rectify the situation in January though, surely can’t go a whole season with this squad size

colinjmarsden1w ago

TtZGood still unbeaten equal 5th the freakin group dithered to take up the option to proceed with the offer to purchase Everton and completed he purchase when other bidders appeared very interested in purchasing our club yes they loaned money to finish the stadium but Everton exposed weakness that purchasing Everton stretched their resources. They have f

We have only played one supposed big team in Manchester United We struggled against Palace and Ipswich at home, we were toothless against Spurs, and even struggled against 10 men Wolves in the cup, we are the only side that goes 1 0 up and instead of going for the jugular Moyes has us sitting back, its a joke

tom.procter1w ago

I agree performances haven’t been particularly great. Not sure about Everton sitting back though. Had lots of chances in these games, for me it’s come down to a lack of ruthlessness. Need to be more clinical. Still been a decent start all things considered

gaycoleman1w ago

I’d say very average, when you see how Brentford can let numerous players go and still finish in top half of table and then look at us, we have not bought a decent player for years, we have dead wood in at least five positions and the owners are happy to let this continue, a couple of injuries and we’re in real trouble.

tom.procter1w ago

Would you not say that it’s been a good start to the current season then given Everton’s squad is woefully short and carrying ‘dead wood’? Seventh place and still unbeaten feels pretty decent to me all things considered

dusters211w ago

Good start to Season but feel we should be higher as we let games slip, My main concern I realise Barry is improving but he is easily knocked off the ball ?

waltonl41w ago

After the TFG tried to sell Armstrong to Forest for £40M, I realised it wasn't Moyes fault, so taking that into consideration I would give us an A+. On our 3 players in the England team J Pickford, J Branthwaite & J Garner, I think we have a new musical group, called The EJays 😀

dusters211w ago

If you think about the missed chances we have missed Goal bound in pretty much all our games we should be sitting pretty even higher than we are, my main criticism is Barry is to easy to knock over he needs to Man UP but he's a different player so far .

tom.procter1w ago

The encouraging thing at least is that lots of chances are being created atm. Decent start by Barry, probably could still be more physical though I agree

anthonymanley19561w ago

Give them an A done very well despite kinnear and owners doing nothing to help them D- for them i think this international break come at a good time for squad been a few tired legs out there recharge there battieries COYB

tom.procter1w ago

Yeah good chance to rest up now. Bit of a shame for Dibling, mind! But hopefully he’ll carry on building momentum with England U21s 🤞

sel19671w ago

I would give it an A, wish we could have scored more goals, we created enough chances. Some tough games coming up after the break.

tom.procter1w ago

I agree mate, but at least the chances are being created I guess. What you made of Barry so far?

doyle62031w ago

We need a center forward 🙏

tom.procter1w ago

100%. Barry doing OK so far but obviously he isn't clinical. Johnson has also missed a bunch of chances hasn't he

philthemessenger1w ago

A great

tom.procter1w ago

You reckon Everton can sustain this rate of picking up points until January? Certainly a positive start

andymcglynn271w ago

Ok but we have a thin squad thanks Mr freidkin

tom.procter1w ago

Need to get really lucky on the injuries front - but seems like the current crop are actually really embracing the situation

chrisstafford12341w ago

One of the best starts to a season small squad better harmony so far not missing any of the transfers just a pity we don't have owners we can trust to not to run the club into the ground profit greed American one can only wish for change

kmm.mace1w ago

Yes, that's my fear too Chris. The Americans are not in it for the love. I've just read that Man U are abt 1 billion dollars in debt. 😨. Not sure how accurate that is, but it's frightening.

kmm.mace1w ago

That's my fear too Chris, regarding Yank owners. They are not in it for the love. Just read that Man U are about 1 billion dollars in debt. Not sure how accurate that is, but it's frightening. 😟

tom.procter1w ago

It’s got to be at least an A. Nine points, three clean sheets and 7th in the PL after a sub-par end to the window that has left the squad short. Also into 4th round of the Carabao. Maybe the Spurs draw was a missed op, but Moyes has done a solid job so far I have to say

markmarston1w ago

A - much better than anyone could’ve hoped for after that awful deadline day! Massive credit to Moyes 👏 he’s galvanised this group.

daviescallum421w ago

I mean, it can’t be anything worse than A. Unbeaten and still in the cup. Should and could have been better, but after the end of the transfer window, no complaints whatsoever

ptrckbennett1w ago

👏Given the circumstances Moyes and the entire side deserve an A+ We are in a completely different situation than I feared we would be and with the younger squad members shining like they are the future looks very bright 💙 But it cannot be stated enough that our great start is "Despite" Kinnear and TFG and not because of them!
