When do you think Novak Djokovic will return?

He still hasn't played a match on clay this year...

matthew.johns168d ago

I think he will play in Rome and Roland Garros. Would be interesting to see if he would play in Geneva again if he has an early exit in Rome!

magraf68171d ago

I think he's either in full-on training for RG and doesn't want to lose his mojo if defeats stack up, or he is preserving his body from the arduous clay as much as possible. This year is probably last chance saloon to him and he only wants the majors 🤷

callumdaviestennis171d ago

I could seriously see him only playing Roland Garros on clay this year

Will Novak Djokovic play any events on clay this year?

He could skip clay entirely...

liam.mcmillen192d ago

I'd be very surprised if he doesn't at least play Roland Garros!

george.patten192d ago

I think he plays Rome and Roland Garros, but I'm not 100% sure...

Novak Djokovic or Tiger Woods... who is the better sportsman? 🤔

magraf68171d ago

Depends how you are defining the word but definitely Novak for me due to the sheer physicality of tennis over such a long period and the era he has played in. Never been my favourite player but credit where it's due 🙌

Novak's achievements are remarkable

Should Djokovic retire whatever happens in the Australian Open final and go out in a blaze of glory?

feliciano.lim57208d ago

If you talk about legacy and influence, it has to be Tiger Woods. He influenced millions of kids to take up golf where before golf is only played by oldies. In fact a lot of tennis players converted to golf, while Djokovic didnt influence golfers to convert to tennis!

A female player, Steffi Graf from Germany, held all four Grand Slam trophies at age 19 in 1988.

Who would win this legendary showdown?

akioisis23148d ago

Well...Sinner as he is would beat prime Djoker...so Sinner in a few years would annihilate the Serb.

skmindtennis149d ago

2026 Djokovic beat 2026 Sinner at the AO. So, Prime Djokovic would be favored over 2026 Sinner.

Level, dynamic of game, intense, changing directions and physical and mental durability between nadal and nole was something than nowadays player couldnt survive, also varieties of surfaces made deep top players list. People forget fast how hard was for one player to complete slams, today there in no much surface differences between

He's a scavenger. Picking up the leftover pieces that his rivals and even women left behind. He had a front row seat to see what Nadal and Federer did/were doing, while beating themselves up already facing each other, and then here he comes all fresh due to all the retirements.

kyagrarocks244d ago

Are you real? Joking

joshcaron725252d ago

No he is just intense he doesn't display bad sportsmanship. What the hell don't hate on the goat your crazy to do so. What??? Eat it mh friend eat f**** s**** he is maybe the greatest athlete of all time not just goat of tennis. He makes Federer & Nadal look like two nobody's

karthik.gln24270d ago

The biggest scavenger is Federer coz he won most of his titles before the arrival of Nadal and Novak...and in 2017 won 4 slams only because Nole was Injured...he wouldn't have even made it to the finals if he were there...let's be honest he would have choked anyway against Nole..

What is your best memory of Stan Wawrinka?

Making Nadal look pedestrian in one Australian open final

What does Novak Djokovic need to change to win a 25th Grand Slam title?

lbpavankumar189d ago

Need to change only one technique, that is quickly finishing the point rather playing long rallies.

ec1585243d ago

Novak looks great, but if he can produce more aces and win he's service games easier, the next Grand slam title is waiting for him.

baldacchinobl243d ago

This is a great idea but it should work slightly different to the men's format. Best of 5 but at 4 all it should be a super tie break in place of a 5th set. That is first woman to 10 points wins.

Novak Djokovic is the tennis GOAT... Prove us wrong

5493.st.kabirdin1d ago

"Djokovic will look to continue his unbeaten record in Beijing when he faces either Alexander Zverev or Juncheng Shang in the China Open semi-finals." Semifinal?????????

vs.iyer.vs2d ago

What ever be is it, Novak's resilience, aggressive attitude to succeed are all notable points to learn. He announced his arrival when Roger and Rafa were in peek. Winning a Grand Slam beating both Rafa and Roger was a herculean task those times.

alihadiasaba111d ago

Federer without doubt was a player with more class than anyone however Djokovich's ability to sustain pressure made him what he is.

What pundits have said about Novak Djokovic's chances of winning a 25th Grand Slam title

segesmundo.vieira246d ago

Please stop comparing Djocovic with other players. JESUS IS CLEAR THAT THERE IS NO MORE TO COMPARE. CMON

kumarsushilkumar68265d ago

His uniqueness was his agility and reach which is diminishing like his Unbeatable Aura ,so no chance for another grand slam.Yes we can hope mid match retiring drama.

vrshekar2002279d ago

He cannot beat Sinner. I think he has outside chance against Alcaraz.

Who is your tennis GOAT?

magraf68277d ago

Open era - 1st Federer. =2nd Rafa and Djoko. My favourite ever is Rafa but Fed's game was a thing of beauty as opposed to the grinding of the other 2. All-time - 1st Laver then the big 3.

jackdrury79298d ago

1. Roger 2. Djokovic 3. Nadal

thomasreilly1311300d ago

Roger. He's the only genius of the modern era. Alcaraz is touched by genius but Federer was beaten within an inch of his life by the genius stick. If you place numbers above genius, aside from being a pedant, Laver is the GOAT except even he had less talent than Roger.
