This is a great idea but it should work slightly different to the men's format. Best of 5 but at 4 all it should be a super tie break in place of a 5th set. That is first woman to 10 points wins.

It could happen to anyone. Lorenzo was not going to win the tournament so he still gets a huge cheque. The prize money goes up every year and you get a million in a grand slam for reaching the semi final and I think its nearly 50K for a 1st round loser. Money has ruined the sport because players like Jasmine Paolini doesn't put the effort in anymore.

He is playing at a time when two of the world's best players are playing their best tennis.They are younger,faster and better. Getting past either one them over five sets is going to be difficult. Getting past two is impossible. Both of them have to lose before the semis.

Could probably add the odd event into his schedule to fully be prepared on the court, but has to avoid burnout at the same time, it's a fine line!
