What ever be is it, Novak's resilience, aggressive attitude to succeed are all notable points to learn. He announced his arrival when Roger and Rafa were in peek. Winning a Grand Slam beating both Rafa and Roger was a herculean task those times.

Nadal for me! Federer won lots before Rafa arrived and Novak has won lots since Rafa declined/retired. And what if there were more clay court events? Rafa could have another 30 titles

I think it goes 1. Novak, 2. Rafa, 3. Roger, but I really think you can make a great case for Nadal as the goat. He pretty much won all his majors while the big three were in their primes - Roger won a few before the peak of the big 3 era and Novak won a few after
