In terms of pure MMA skill and disregarding the other aspects that lead to stardom in the sport, it's gotta be wrestling

I'm going to controversially say kickboxing. The UFC is clearly changing the way they matchmake 'boring' fighters and are even not giving them new contracts. Wrestling may be more dominant but kickboxing gives the better chance to become a star.

The question is “what is the best BASE for MMA?” Not “what is the best base to become a star in mma?” Which would be wrestling, regardless if people like it or not. Not to mention mma is about the martial art & being “the best”. Only people like Conor & his fans put starpower above skill 🤦🏽

Kickboxing or boxing for star power, but wrestling is the best base for winning consistently. It’s not just the skillset itself, but the discipline undertaken in training at the top level.
