What do you make of the UFC doubling their post-fight bonuses?

It’s just another way for the UFC to weasel out of paying fighters more money.

It doesn't sound like fighters who have been in the UFC for a while feel like much has changed now that they aren't giving unofficial bonuses out so it's hard to disagree

They need to start by tripling (at least) the amount of money fighters make per fight in the first place. Also should have a flat amount of money they should make just being under contract. There's only so many fights any MMA fighter has, there's no reason they should be making the equivalent of a mid level office employee per year when UFC is rocketing

Yep spot on. A bigger bonus that doesn't even line up with the inflation of the UFC's revenue growth over the past decade means nothing when 90 percent of the card are still underpaid

This is long, long over due. Considering the Paramount deal is 7.7 billion it's still rather poor. Finishing bonuses should be doubled, the rest should be 150k and fight of the night 200k.

Yeah and it's still not in line with how the UFC's revenue and worth has grown. Overall they're not giving out much more than they were the last time they had finish bonuses. Definitely not as good as it appears when they say it's been doubled

Fair play. That’s a great bump. Love the 25k finish bonus too, always felt harsh on those who got snubbed.

It's obviously good news, but when it's been 50k for a decade, feels like we should be a few more increases along than this to be honest.

Maybe this says more about the UFC's track record than anything else but I genuinely didn't expect this. Overdue? Definitely. But, still a positive step.
