No ways yet another defeat we not anyway near Bournemouth quality. Results speaks louder than words.Action is needed
davecarey283w ago
On reflection our three midfield signings appear apart from Carlos Baleba appear to be having no impact on the pitch. This is worrying as our results so far have shown. With the European games coming up this will probably show up these major deficiencies even more.

I have no doubt that several players are not short of football skills. However some of them don' t seem to have the energy to last the 90 minutes. Having said that I keep finding fault in the right back position. Every time the opposition gets possession on that flank it gives me the creeps.

stephenjholmes13w ago
I believe right back is Lenny Yoro's natural position. I don't think he has the body strength to be a centre back yet.
mckays20103w ago
A strategic change is needed in the starting XI.Why don't we try Youngsters if the experienced are failing to make a pass, let alone to create chances, forget about past stories when selecting players, let's give energetic, aggressive youngsters a chance,no need for regulars everyone must fight for position in the starting lineup,do not put them coz of names

Michael Carrick cause all the trouble himself, retaining of Radford back to the squad is a problem to the team. Check body language of some players of Man United
macnunbangura3w ago
The players need to up their game and be committed to the team. They need to sacrifice and work harder to get positive results.
clifton.rowe2473w ago
We are in serious trouble, youri tielemans does not look fit to play for us, Our team set-up does not make any sense, what happen to our pressing then getting back to defend? we are going to get riped apart by Leeds next week, twice So far we came up against man ciity, and spurs with 10 men we were unable to kill those games off, Not good enough.
ericisgod663w ago
I feared this & said so in previous comments. It is defo Deja Solksjaer. If there going to get rid then it has to be done now. I dont know why the manager cant be blamed. If he cant get what he got out of the almost same team he had last campaign then there is a problem somewhere. Is it the club who advised there goal for the season is 4th place finish?
johnmartin.jordan3w ago
Either the players are not playing for their manager ir else they're just not good enough to wear the jersey. A bit of both is my thinking.
dancoombs3w ago
I'd rejected the Ole comparisons previously because they felt lazy. However, our current form is justifying them
johnhonghb3w ago
United need to defend better and the wins will come! Baleba looks like the real deal - looking forward to see him in more action!
niko3w ago
I still don't know what Yoro and De Ligt, Zirkzee and Sesko are doing in our team. They need to be replaced by two strong central defenders and two strong strikers asap. Carrick can only use materials he's provided with. And they are not good enough. The earlier the Glazers/Ratcliffe/Ineos Conundrum does the needful the better. Or leave!
troublesomebigguy3w ago
Carrick is part of the problem did he really need to spend so much time and energy plus money on every single midfielder that was for sale it needed to be strengthened but wouldn't it have been better getting a couple and spending the rest on a defender and a striker who by the way we have not had since Rooney left
ericisgod663w ago
You will NEVER get needful from the Glazers and, because they are hemorrhaging money, SJR & INEOS cannot be counted. Buying the club has become more difficult as the clubs value has increased & the money required to fix the assetts is also double plus the Ubuy it U inherit the £1.4 billion debt. United fans should look at a class action startinb with the EPL
davidpat.curran753w ago
Martinez not fit to play lately. We wanted Yoro to play, but at cb not rb. Tielimans still not up to speed. Bruno struggling to make the most simple of passes. Im struggling to understand what has happened from last season.
thetruthpersonified3w ago
Martinez not fit or just no longer good enough.... Has always been weak against stronger and taller Strikers.
terrygreenwood43w ago
Aside from the goal it was shambolic........again. Beeba looked a class above the rest of the team when he came on. Ineos should run the business side of Man U and have nothing to do team at all, especially transfers. Wilcox is useless and the average fan could do a better job than him!
thetruthpersonified3w ago
Agree fault higher. Also do not aim "fault" per se at Carrick. He should never have been permanently appointed as United is beyond his current level and experience. Cannot blame him for taking the job and backing himself.. Could a more experienced manager do better? Yes I believe so....
stevieb_one3w ago
Wrong purchases in reality, Tielmans is too similar to Bruno, Rashford shouldn't have been brought back, fault is not Carricks it is above him where the problem lies
stephenjholmes13w ago
Carrick is responsible for the problems with the current starting 11, and his failure to proactively make in game changes. He is reactive, (and cowardly). How about getting back to Uniteds DNA, and actually use the academy players. They can't do any worse than the current shambles. The fans wouldn't be adverse to it regardless of the result.
rbrown0806503w ago
Carrick had 3 weejs to prepare for this and the players largely do not look fit. Tielemens legs have gone and must not play again. We are in a relegation battle. Cant see any points from the next 4 games! Time for change.
stephenjholmes13w ago
3 weeks preperation to resolve the problems, but in the finest United tradition we give the players a week off. Reward failure, expect nothing else!
john.thompsonbid19693w ago
Carrick has been sold down the river, the non-existent spending and quality recruitment over summer has left the squad lacking in depth and quality, which has unsurprisingly led to the current problems, Worzel and the Glasers need to go.
dancoombs3w ago
They will always be our root problem whoever is in the dugout. The manager will always be let down by ownership. A proven pattern
seadvegar3w ago
Tome mora doci kram..
jm6066143w ago
Just beyond words now.
troublesomebigguy3w ago
I'm afraid to say that the team is no better than the beginning of last season and for many past season and when will the board ever learn that hiring past players as permanent managers doesn't work this is the second time we have done it we stumble from one bad manager to another and player recruitment in the summer was a joke
dancoombs3w ago
Agree. I don’t see the progress, if anything we have gone backwards
antoniosales44503w ago
Carrick seems overwhelmed, his game tactic was pathetic, as it has been since the beginning of the season. Games that should have been won ended in draws. The team looks like a ship without a rudder.
barryroberts723w ago
Leeds next game away in the league we will be thrashed playing like that.
thetruthpersonified3w ago
One thing is more or less for certain. We play half as poorly as that against Athletico next week and we get a good old fashioned shellacking.
dancoombs3w ago
Leeds is a bigger worry for me
sihall77733w ago
Awful, game after game after game from pre season to match 6, this will continue, trust me.
dancoombs3w ago
Looking at the tough fixture list ahead, I cannot disagree
stephenjholmes13w ago
Absolutely. Carrick needs to man up, and be brave. If he can't do that (which current evidence shows he wont) he needs to clear his desk!
sihall77733w ago
Looks like soljsjaers united all over again, great start, false expectations, pedestrian in the end, no way back from here Michael. Club in complete disarray.
stephenjholmes13w ago
I thought with Ole, the board were keeping him with the hope that Halland would come to United whilst he was manager.
febced13w ago
Michael Carrick was never Roy Kean's and my choice as Man U's permanent manager. He's good for 20 matches, and then he must go on a sabbatical for 2 years. He has lost all control of this team, and HE MUST go. I'm convinced he has no verbal competencies. He's simply not good enough. Man U must replace him asap.
dancoombs3w ago
Keane wanted Eddie Howe, who is now available
stephenjholmes13w ago
I can't believe any of the United board will be prepared to endorse Carrick after our start to the season. He needs to be gone!
mahomediyoop3w ago
I don't think I ever saw a man united team start a season so poorly. Carricks management is in jeopardy.
onaolapooguntola3w ago
Check out, the moment Rashford came on, the opponent equalise. Carrick should have let Rashford to be loan out at the beginning of the season.
terrencepandaram313w ago
We cannot continuously blame managers cos managers play from the outside only they cannot go inside the field and play for the players the players need to be kicked out we have a captain who cannot lead he needs to be stripped of the captaincy then U will see change
dancoombs3w ago
@knightinwhitesatin same old story we can’t hold on
stephenjholmes13w ago
We shouldn't have even been looking at holding on. Against 10 men again, and doing nothing. Carrick out!
stephenjholmes13w ago
Dalot and Zirkzee as his solution? That says everything. I would love to know how other managers reacted to the substitutions. Probably rolling around laughing!
thetruthpersonified3w ago
Yet Zirkzee was an improvement on Amad. Where is Lacey! Amad has been injured yet starts. Baleba injured but does not start! Where is the approach.. Neither or both. Not fair on Amad. As for Santos - feel for the poor lad. Also, missing why we spent 50m on him to warm our bench!
joebyrne19543w ago
It's not Carrick fault, not backed by management during the summer
stephenjholmes13w ago
REALLY? Carrick is a gutless bottle merchant. I really hoped he would do well for us, but he is a coward. Try giving Lacey a go! Get rid of Tilemans, he is sh*te!
epi2media3w ago
Teams should just start with 10 men against Man U. How can a team of Man U lack any form of any combinations which even Sunday teams have...just as minimum evidence that at least a training session was held prior to a game?
thetruthpersonified3w ago
Hahaha 🤣
eoin3w ago
Didn't deserves more than a point. Looked like United were the team with 10 late on
thetruthpersonified3w ago
Did not deserve a point, let alone "more than a point".
jonny3w ago
Scored one and thought “job done”
bernadette.khoshaba3w ago
Nothing to say really......what exactly were we expecting..😤
dancoombs3w ago
I knew from the first five mins we were in for a tough afternoon. We needed to set the tone right away and failed
thetruthpersonified3w ago
That was what I expected.
thetruthpersonified3w ago
A change is required. I want to give a coach time. But has to be the right coach.
dancoombs3w ago
Not good enough. Can’t get the job done at 1-0 up against 10 man bottom of the league
thetruthpersonified3w ago
Not just that, but in the first half we made Spurs look like Vintage Brazil!
jonny3w ago
Yes we threw it away, but the performance was atrocious and I see zero improvement. Carrick has to be on thin ice right now, we were awful. A win might have papered over cracks but hard to overlook this.
thetruthpersonified3w ago
The papering over massive cracks has me worried. That was abysmal! We should have lost by 4 or 5..
