Going well so far with this line-up, isn't it?!

Despite all the regrettable managers we have had, this is the first CL match I can recall where the excitement is missing. Of course hope we win, but need some entertainment, some spark - something to make watching United more than loyalty alone...

I would suggest trying to limit the damage. Worryingly - Maguire dropped when Martinez has been abysmal this season. Plus Heaven and Martinez are both better as LCB. Nice to see DL make the bench..

I think we needed a change at CB and got one tonight. Hope it works, along with the welcome shake up in midfield. It’s good to see Carrick willing to try new things as I feared he was stuck in a daze after the start to the season we’ve had.

Chance for Martinez to put himself in the shop window and land a move to Atletico…

Will it work? No idea. Am I glad to see Carrick change up the team with fresh ideas? Yes

Wow. Big change but maybe what we need, assume it’s a 4312, should fix our midfield balance issue
