Are Leeds seeing the best version of Dominic Calvert-Lewin? 😮‍💨

What a signing he's turned out to be.

markequinlan1109d ago

So sorry 😞 didn't realise you were an expert goalscorer on a par with Messi. Your messy alright !

whitesgmnz114d ago

I don't think so. Too many clear chances missed.

Who was your Man of the Match?

Okafor, Tanaka and Bijol right up there!

garethhowells199173d ago

Karl, he was there when needed.

markequinlan1173d ago

Okafor ... could have had 4 ! Viduka all over again!!

dianne2702smith174d ago

Okafor

Is Brenden Aaronson our best player at the moment? 🔥

markdmchugh21273d ago

He was today

dwhitbread04273d ago

I think he’s made a case for himself to be unstoppable, however, he is not our best player. When you compare it to DCL and Ampadu and Rodon, I would say they’re more crucial.

will.butcher273d ago

I’m here for Brendy’s redemption arch and always will be

Realistically, how long can Leeds United's unbeaten run go on for?

derryneenan65270d ago

If we can get 5 more wins....I fancy us to get something at Newcastle our confidence is sky high....

will.butcher273d ago

Newcastle away is tough, but the fixtures do get slightly easier (even if they include arsenal)

jordan.harris273d ago

not sure, but if we can put together two more 3/4 match unbeaten runs before the end of the season, we're probably going to be fine!

Aaronson gets a 9, but duo get 5 out of 10 - do you agree? 🤔

dwhitbread04273d ago

Some of these results are way off. How is Gruev higher than Stach? And Bornauw was not that bad, so harsh.

philbinjonny273d ago

Think that's a bit harsh on Gruev. He's not Ampadu and never will be, but I think he was neat and tidy in the midfield.

robert.aaron.osborne273d ago

Agree almost completely. Perri constantly a liability but not to the levels of Meslier. Bijol really made up for the other two of the three

What might have been... Who was your MOTM in Leeds' draw with Man United?

will.butcher273d ago

I’m happy to admit i was wrong about Aaronson. Playerrrrr

martinborlant60273d ago

Aaron's was really good.

dwhitbread04273d ago

Brendan Aaronson 100%, he was immense today, and of course, got the goal. I really liked Bijol too.

Was Lucas Perri to blame for the Man Utd equaliser? 🤔

buttereebarry266d ago

Lucas Perri is a bigger disasters and liability than Meslier ever was. We need to train him to control his box especially the 6 yard His coming out for crosses is non existent. An impression of a starfish doesn't work for me .

p.hicks8881272d ago

Yes. But struik also to bame as he lost his man there and burnouw could not get across in time. It was a defensive mistake overall. Cant just blame perri on this one 💛💙💛 alaw

Is he a massive upgrade on Meslier, I'd play Darlow over Perri especially in the Newcastle game

Leeds' starting line-up v Man United - has Farke made the right call?

martinborlant60273d ago

I'll say it again this goalkeeper is crap he was too far out .should never have scored from there.

robert.mchugh273d ago

Chambers on the bench shows how stretched the squad is getting. Still can't afford to drop the ball in January

dwhitbread04273d ago

Very happy with that lineup, IMO, it's the strongest team we can field with the players available. Justin and Bornauw impressed me vs Liverpool, so I am not overly worried about them.

Where does Leeds v Man United rank in the biggest rivalries in the country? 😤

dwhitbread04273d ago

I think from a non bias perspewctive it's not as high as some may think. However, based on pure nastiness and hatred, it's up there with Villa/Birmingham

philbinjonny274d ago

I'd say from the Leeds end, it's up there with the nastiest for sure. I'd love nothing more than to see how unbothered Butt is after a Leeds win today

Can anyone match Jermaine Beckford's heroics for Leeds v Man United today? 🙌

dwhitbread04273d ago

I think all you have to look at is DCL's form... He is going to be absolutely buzzing for this, and I think he will be the difference.

philbinjonny274d ago

What a day. Would love DCL to get back in the goals, but have a feeling Lukas Nmecha could get the winner...

Although the question is have I forgiven him. Well I don't think there's much forgiving

dwhitbread04273d ago

I definitely haven’t, not going to ever earn that respect back from fans.

Have YOU forgiven Rio Ferdinand for his move to Manchester United? 🤔

philbinjonny274d ago

Not sure there's much to forgive to be honest. Do I like Rio Ferdinand? No - but that's not the question. But Leeds made a profit on the deal and he got the move he wanted.

robert.mchugh274d ago

From purely a financial perspective, this deal was one of the few successes of that era. But as an individual, no. He doesn't seem to have much affection for the club, and the feeling is definitely mutual.

gareth.l.armstrong274d ago

No. He's got no fondness for Leeds, he doesn't want the club to do well, and his allegiances are obviously with Manchester United. As far as I'm concerned he's a Man U player who happened to spend a couple seasons as Leeds.

Who should replace Ampadu against Manchester United? 🤔

philbinjonny274d ago

This is said with tongue firmly in cheek, but what about Jonny Howson 🤣. The man knows what it takes to beat Man U

robert.aaron.osborne274d ago

I’d be happy with tanaka-stach-gruev but I wouldn’t be against Aaronson starting either

robert.mchugh274d ago

Straight swap for me - Calvert-Lewin in for Ampadu, drop Aaronson back into midfield with Gruev and Stach, with Stach playing a bit deeper than usual. Then you've got Tanaka on the bench if you need to chase the game later.

How costly will Ethan Ampadu's absence be against Man U?

dwhitbread04274d ago

Amps will be a massive miss, we have seen this season just how. crucial he has beeen to us when he has played, now he is missing in arguably one of, if not the, biggest game of the season. He dictates the midfield and orchestrates everything good about us, defesively and attackin

iainbullock1275d ago

I think it's high time Arnie Slot starts to grow up, throwing his toys out of the pram, he should know every team are going to try anything to upset the opposing team, he is forgetting that he bought 3 players for more than Leeds spent in total

♥ 1

dale.odonnell276d ago

As a Red, we’ll take any boost we can get going into this game. We can only take advantage of it if any of our midfielders return from injury because Casemiro and Ugarte are not cutting the mustard together.
