Leeds United v Brentford

philbinjonny293d ago

It always surprises me that there's so much talk of selling Struijk. I think he's a Rolls Royce of a defender. If he had a touch more pace, he'd be up there with the very best.

philbinjonny293d ago

Agree - I think a version of the Captain's Challenge they use in rugby league could work. But I'd limit to one challenge per team, to try and stop tactical use

robert.aaron.osborne293d ago

In terms of the 'foul' on DCL, I feel our lads don't make enough fuss when appealing for a decision. Whether or not it is Farke telling them not to, we seem to barely appeal compared to other teams who will surround the ref immediately.

mark.marston293d ago

Some very strange officiating tbh

leeclarke0508294d ago

The inconsistencies are just diabolical. It's almost like they've messed with the laws that much that even the referees don't understand what constitutes right and wrong anymore.

mark.marston293d ago

I thought Stach had a decent game

james.brooke294d ago

Thought Okafor deserved a bit higher. Couldn't finish his chances but was easily the most dangerous player first-half especially. Only one who really looked like making something happen

jordan.harris294d ago

very harsh on Gabi, and not sure how Perri has got a six. I just don't get what Farke is seeing in him. Otherwise, spot on!

felipefdrosario293d ago

Gnonto changed the game again

robert.aaron.osborne293d ago

I thought DCL personally. DCL's hold up play and flick ons are crucial to how we play with the 3-5-2. Him staying fit for the majority of the season could be the difference between survival and relegation.

tom.procter294d ago

Stach was absolutely brilliant 🔥

robert.aaron.osborne293d ago

Happy with a point, especially in London. Could've capitalised more on what seemed to be a poor Brentford performance but definitely deserved a point. Much better attitude and set-up compared to the dreary performances at Forest, Brighton and Burnley.

philbinjonny294d ago

Great point on the road and a three-point cushion on the bottom three. What more can you ask for?

leeclarke0508294d ago

Considering they've beat Newcastle and Liverpool at home, think that's a positive result. Been a very good response to a drab performance vs Forest.

robert.mchugh294d ago

Perri's distribution is so wayward. Needs to find his radar to give DCL a chance of winning a header...

philbinjonny294d ago

Okafor is doing a good job of stretching their defence. Hopefully we can nick one on the break in the second half

paulsafehands294d ago

We definitely need something today because of other results today and strong up and coming fixtures

philbinjonny294d ago

Happy with that for sure

robert.mchugh294d ago

Definitely the right team, great to see Tanaka back in

keithfarrow832296d ago

Start With Perri 3 at the back play our wing/full backs up high have Ampadou Holding with Strach & Tanaka midfield Creators and Gnonto Behind Calvert-Lewin

billy.meyers296d ago

Give Harry Gray a chance before the January window opens - he’d save millions if he does well

felipefdrosario296d ago

Okafor, but I would like Gnonto to be the starter

billy.meyers296d ago

No way - not sure there’s anyone out there right now worth bringing in to replace Farke

daniel.owen296d ago

No chance. I still can't believe people were giving Farke such a hard time

jordan.harris296d ago

Goodness me, no. And I'm not even 100% Farke in

daniel.owen296d ago

I'd like Tanaka and think Aaronson would be useful getting in and around Henderson

james.rutherford297d ago

Got to start Tanaka. Need his quality on the ball

jordan.harris297d ago

Tanaka comes in. Will also keep pushing for Perri to be dropped with Darlow coming in haha

philbinjonny296d ago

Super duper Liam Cooper! What a man

jordan.harris297d ago

A defining moment in that season. Feared the worst after Kiko's howler beforehand

robert.mchugh297d ago

Thought the season was over when Ayling spoke to the press post-Forest. This was the start of the bounce back! Mind the gap!

will.butcher297d ago

Gunning for the 17th-places trophy!🏆

robert.mchugh297d ago

I think he's bought some time with a couple of good results and some smart changes. This season is all about the destination, i.e. finishing 17th. How they get there doesn't really matter!

billy.meyers297d ago

100% agree. Really big fan of Farke and after two failed attempts to stay up with Norwich in the Prem, I think it'll be third time lucky with Leeds this season! 🙏🏻

will.butcher297d ago

Weird bloke

billy.meyers297d ago

It'll be tough to beat him Sunday mind you - only Arsenal Manchester City and Aston Villa have a better home record!

jordan.harris297d ago

Some great shouts already, so will say Jansson's stoppage-time header after Watkins' atrocious dive for a penalty. And Eddie Nketiah scoring late on, I think on his league debut!

will.butcher297d ago

Raphinha in the stands 😍😍

robert.mchugh297d ago

How about Bamford's last minute equaliser at Elland Road? Shame it ruled him out for months...

derryneenan65294d ago

8...draws Brentford and Sunderland... wins against palace and the scum

daniel.owen296d ago

Those two home games are winnable. Actually, I can see us getting points out of all of them if we keep up our level. I'm gonna say six

chillout296d ago

They can get 15 points - they will probably end up with 5 - one win and two draws.

daniel.owen296d ago

Definitely. Brentford have lost to Fulham, Brighton and Palace. We can beat them too. They seem to save their best performances for the top sides

jordan.harris297d ago

it will be unbelievable hard, but confidence is high!

will.butcher297d ago

1-1 draw

billy.meyers298d ago

If Nmecha's still not fit I'd consider using Gnonto next to Calvert-Lewin up top. Thought he changed the game against Liverpool after coming on

robert.mchugh298d ago

Having Nmecha back will be key. DCL looks so much better with him alongside him

♥ 1

will.butcher297d ago

Rodon the new Pontus

jordan.harris298d ago

they haven't faced Joe Rodon and Jake Bijol yet. Obviously Pascal Struijk will inevitably head straight at the goalkeeper from six yards out, as is customary now

james.brooke298d ago

You just know it'll be a reversion to type. 2-0 Brentford

dan.coombs1298d ago

Brentford have dropped off lately. Leeds got to be winning this

billy.meyers298d ago

If Farke can find a way to deal with those long throws I think Leeds will get a result
