Which track should replace Balaton Park on next year's calendar?
craigkruger730114d ago
Kayalami South Africa.
aaditya.krishnamurthy116d ago
The track just isn’t very good, so I get why not, but I do wish they’d at least keep the variety. But a race in Turkey would be pretty good
tyler.rowlinson117d ago
I would like Hungary to stay on the calendar, so the Hungaroring is the best option. If not, a race in Turkey would be class
Here's our rider ratings for the Hungarian Grand Prix! Which ones would you change?
aaditya.krishnamurthy118d ago
Both Pedro and Marc deserve a 9 for that intense battle. Acosta for pushing a KTM despite it being an inferior bike, and Marquez for not backing down from such a fight despite returning from an injury just last week
hansmartin1962118d ago
pedro 10 like marc
tyler.rowlinson118d ago
Acosta could be rated the same as Marc, his race was excellent. Miller could maybe be higher too, was a great ride with some great defending

What does Marc Marquez's tense battle with Pedro Acosta in Hungary get out of 10?
esoterique777117d ago
A still recovering MM can do amazingly well at tracks that suit him but on the the ones that are fast flowing and turn the other way I think still his recovery will coincide with those enough to put him on the cusp of the title will be so close in the end.
partridge.rob1976118d ago
I think Pedro is a great rider and he will be the #2 Ducati rider so long as Marc is healthy. Ducati has Marc to make up for any and all issues when he is healthy. Alex has his moments but beyond those 2, Ducati isn't the easiest bike to go fast on. Hoping Pedro adapts to push Marc and himself to even higher levels as this sport is boring without them.
hansmartin1962118d ago
i think the marc vs pedro battle was at least 9 out of 10 as it took place at a track - balaton park - where something like that is nearly impossible. it needs two brilliant riders like marc & pedro to make it happen! the track itself is 1 or 2 out of 10, absolute nonsense to organize motogp races there!

Marc Marquez is now 72 points off Marco Bezzecchi after the Hungarian GP 👀 How do you rate his title chances now?
beech.karl80118d ago
He has a very strong chance if aprilia riders keep making silly mistakes.
aaditya.krishnamurthy119d ago
It’s showing signs of life, but Marquez needs a lot to go in his favour to be in the title mix
pixantz6119d ago
Alive and kicking. Totally game on. As Marcs mom said, the rivals were on advantage because Marc missed races. That doesn't mean they won't ever fall or have bad situations. Everyone will fall more than once Marc still missed more races. Just one blip in one race for them and Marc is strongly onto the game even more. Wait and watch.

Some strong rides out there today, but which rider stood out for you at the Hungarian Grand Prix?
jdenoronha114d ago
Great ride from Marc
hansmartin1962118d ago
of course marc
aaditya.krishnamurthy119d ago
Loved seeing Miller turn back the clock in Hungary, he gets my vote

It's win number 100 for Marc Marquez at Balaton Park! 🏆 How many more races do you see him winning this season?
henderson.rohan1118d ago
5/6, if he stays healthy. Balaton was a bit of an outlier, and he’ll probably have to settle for points in the next two races, but from Sachsenring it’s game-on!
aaditya.krishnamurthy119d ago
Man just when I thought he was out, Marquez 6-7s his way back in to the title race
david.comerford119d ago
We've got, what, 14 to go? If it goes smoothly from a physical standpoint, I could see him picking up at least six more wins
WHAT A BATTLE! 😍 How far is Pedro Acosta off Marc Marquez in terms of talent?
aaditya.krishnamurthy119d ago
I see Acosta as an A- compared to the A+ drivers like Marquez. It’ll be close in Ducati next year but not close enough
david.comerford119d ago
I don't know if he'll be a Marquez/Rossi type of rider, but I could see him in that next bracket with Lorenzo, Stoner etc
Both Aprilias are OUT in a five-rider crash at the start! 😲 Was Jorge Martin's double long-lap penalty fair?
Martin, Bezzecchi, Di Giannantonio, Aldeguer and Fernandez are all out
oganeil110d ago
Martin got off lightly in my opinion. I think a pitlane srart, plus a long lap.penalty would have been more appropriate We can't have Kamikazi starts like that.
tmjakich118d ago
Martin is a brilliant pilot at times, but he lacks the intent to be a strategic rider. That's the difference between a Jorge Martin and a Marc Marquez. And believe me, that's a huge difference!!!
♥ 1
aaditya.krishnamurthy119d ago
Man everything for Martin after Le Mans has been catastrophic, now now Bez has gotten trapped in that bad luck vortex. All on Martin though, this one

Marc Marquez takes victory in the Hungarian Grand Prix Sprint! Is he now your favourite for Sunday?
marcus.chan120d ago
What a performance! He might just do it again tomorrow!
beech.karl80120d ago
Amazing Marquez 👏

Marc Marquez claims his second pole of 2026 at the Hungarian GP! Can he hang on for his first Grand Prix win?
beech.karl80120d ago
Marquez TOTAL MACHINE...
Brad Binder crashes to end another dismal Q1 😬 Will he ever out-qualify Pedro Acosta in 2026?
ahambly23121d ago
I really can't see it happening, Acosta just seems very strong over one-lap, and the South African just can't match him

Rate Toprak Razgatlioglu's chances of securing a top 10 finish in the Hungarian GP out of 10!
The Pramac rider finished FP1 at Balaton Park with the 10th fastest lap 👀
cmcgathan112d ago
Maybe you should take into account what bike Iker was riding !!!
kyle.archer122d ago
5/10 - Toprak Razgatlioglu looked solid enough during FP1, but he will need to find a bit more pace to secure a top 10 finish in Sunday's Grand Prix
ahambly23122d ago
Maybe like a six, it's clear he is strong at Balaton Park, but it depends on whether he can make much of a difference atop the sub-par Yamaha M1.

Marc Marquez back on top in FP1 at the Hungarian Grand Prix 👀 What can he achieve this weekend?
marcus.chan121d ago
What a start for Marc! He can definitely win the Sprint tomorrow!
kyle.archer122d ago
Marc Marquez has certainly started as he means to go on, but it still remains to be seen how his shoulder will cope in Sunday's Grand Prix
ahambly23122d ago
A Sprint race win is definitely on the cards, but I still feel like he may run into problems in the longer Grand prix.
Early contact for Toprak Razgatlioglu at the Hungarian GP 💥 Have you been surprised by his mistakes in MotoGP?
kyle.archer122d ago
It was a rather clumsy mistake from Toprak Razgatlioglu during FP1 - but making the odd mistake is not that bad as he adapts.
ahambly23122d ago
It's been a rocky start to his career in the premier class, but I think it is fairly normal for someone on difficult machinery in their rookie season.

Which bike would Toprak be fastest on at Balaton Park, his 2025 BMW Superbike or Yamaha's 2026 MotoGP V4?
ahambly23122d ago
Despite being much more comfortable on his Superbike, I still think the Yamaha's sub-par prototype machinery would be faster. Saying that, I think it would be a very close comparison.
kyle.archer122d ago
Even though Yamaha's new-for-2026 V4 M1 is very far from being the best bike in MotoGP, Toprak Razgatlioglu should still be much faster on it at Balaton Park than he was with BMW in World Superbikes last year (when he scored Superpole with a 1:38.357 - which would have been last on the MotoGP grid).

What are your thoughts on the Hungaroring hosting the Hungarian Grand Prix next year?
Francesco Bagnaia has hinted that Balaton Park will be dropped from the calendar after 2026
tyler.rowlinson122d ago
It's better than Balaton Park, that's a start. Safety might be an issue though, the run-off areas will need to be improved, as well as the barriers
ahambly23122d ago
I think the layout would really suit two wheels, but there amount of run off area at the circuit will definitely need actioning.
kyle.archer122d ago
The Hungaroring will need to make a lot of changes to host a MotoGP race in 2027, but the bar to be a better venue than Balaton Park is very low.

What are your HONEST thoughts on Balaton Park?
The track has come in for a lot of criticism...
tyler.rowlinson124d ago
It's a car park, everyone thinks it's a car park. It's such a bizarre and unsafe layout, can't see it being on the calendar beyond 2026. Even the riders hate it
david.comerford124d ago
I sort of don't get the point of it. We're used to questionable layouts in commercially valuable venues, but this isn't a major market for MotoGP?

Should Gresini have brought in Nicolo Bulega to replace Alex Marquez for the Hungarian GP?
tyler.rowlinson125d ago
I'm not discrediting Lecuona's talent, but surely Bulega would be the best option here? He's available, has won every race in WSBK and is linked with MotoGP in '27. Surely this is the best opportunity for Ducati to trial him?
kyle.archer125d ago
Alex Marquez's absence could have created a nice chance for Nicolo Bulega to make another MotoGP cameo, but his bigger priority is the 2027 regulations - and Ducati might not want the Italian to make another cameo with their World Superbike star potentially looking elsewhere for a move to MotoGP next year.
Who's going to win the Hungarian Grand Prix?
shoesmithmichael40122d ago
Yes he will win i hope so come on you can do it .org.
thecelticbeastza122d ago
Why not a rejuvenated Brad Binder? It’s the issue with the bike’s engine that is causing the anti Brad sentiment. Where is KTM’s sense of honour and respect for the one rider who gave the team everything he had and then some?
marcus.chan124d ago
Im going to go for Bezzecchi to continue the Aprilia dominance!
