Why do you think Liam Lawson and Yuki Tsunoda have been 'immediately competitive' in their stand-in roles? 🤔

That is such a back handed insult to Yuki and Liam. Max just cant hack it that his talent is fading

Think that's harsh on Max when you see his results in the fourth quickest car

Max Verstappen is right to a degree, in that F1's 2026 regulations have made the cars easier to drive than in the ground-effect era. But drivers can clearly still make a difference, as Kimi Antonelli is proving against George Russell and Lando Norris is proving against Oscar Piastri. If your driving style doesn't work for the rules, you will be punished.

There is clearly an issue with the RB cars, if their PU is better than everyone else and batteries are the same then clearly it’s todo with aero and setup, chassie. Verstappen hasn’t suddenly forgot how to drive, in a decent car most drivers would be right up there, they are all very good.

Having the same power unit definitely would have helped Lawson, and I guess the simulator work Tsunoda would have been doing behind the scenes helped him to plug-in and play at Racing Bulls.

I think Verstappen has a point here, but it's not the whole story. Lawson says the car is easier to drive than last year, and he also arrives with much more confidence. As for Tsunoda, Racing Bulls always try to make their car as 'user-friendly' as possible, and he's experienced enough to get up to speed pretty quickly anyway
