What's the BIGGEST change Ferrari need to make before 2027 to win the world championship? 🐎

pgmexp2w ago

Ferrari lacks the ability to strategically compete at the front. At Monza the left Hamilton out for 50 laps on mediums even though there was vsc where most teams pitted their front runners. 50 laps on hards makes sense, did they forget what compound Hamilton was on? Or were they just not interested in maximising his points. He could easily of got a podium.

Communication. They can then build a competent strategy for the season and race by race operations for each driver/team

Clearly a car issue and secondly management communication issue… both leclerc and Hamilton are good drivers that’s not where the problem is

Ferrari does not seem capable of making the changes necessary to be a World Champion. World Champions are made up of Team, Car, Driver. All firing on the same cylinders. And Ferrari isn't. Just look at the Michael Schumacher days. There was no doubt about the Team Orders, about who was what, and there was absolutely no doubt about Team, Car, Driver.

Maybe Ferrari got lucky with the dream team they had in the Schumacher era. Never replicated it since

They must start taking accountability. There's a reason why Ferrari are coming up to 20 years without a world title, and it's because of whatever goes on behind the scenes at Maranello.

Establish rules of engagement. Strategise effectively. Continue to bring on upgrades. Exercise courage instead of favouritism.

Strategy and courage are the big ones here for me. There are cultural problems that need addressing

*IF* Ferrari can improve their engine, then there might not be any reason for the Scuderia to need further changes (like replacing Fred Vasseur or having a No1 driver). The SF-26 proves that Ferrari's aero package and chassis are strong, but Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc lose out to Mercedes due to their respective PUs

david.comerford3w ago

Mechanically speaking, they obviously need a better engine. But they will not win more than the odd race until they improve their pit wall execution

george.patten3w ago

This might be a controversial take. But they need a clear number one and two. Like Schumacher/Rubens. And I’m not sure Leclerc is the guy either…. Plenty of work to be done

spanky01672w ago

100% Agree they also need a Horner to lead the team.

tyler.rowlinson3w ago

Completely agree. It’s worked well for them in the past, they cannot afford to let two drivers take points off each other
