Was Lando Norris right to apologise for his comments about Franco Colapinto?

Norris implied that Colapinto shouldn't be in F1 and deserved a race ban after his Azerbaijan GP move

Absolutely

For me it was a harsh comment , but I get it he was angry. I think he should apologize, everyone makes mistakes

Yeah I think this puts a nice full stop on the whole situation. Colapinto was wrong, as was Lando for his comments. Both apologised 🤷🏻‍♂️

Agree, we shouldn't hold F1 drivers to a higher standard than we hold ourselves

He was upset… and looking for a target to blame. Colapinto was clearly not thinking straight at the time of his utterly crazy decision to go for broke. Lando similarly did not engage his brain before opening his mouth, so yes he was right to apologise. A ban is to sever, but end of the grid penalty definitely… or something else must be reasonably tough

Five places wasn't enough, IMO. 10 would be more proportionate

It was clearly a heat-of-the-moment comment and Norris is right to apologise. As he says, he has also been on the wrong end of some silly moves and accidents

Agree, he overreacted in the moment. The suggestion that Colapinto shouldn't be in F1 was worse than calling for a race ban. The penalty should have been harsher, but fair play to Lando for admitting he went too far
