Isack Hadjar will return in Baku - How do you rate Liam Lawson's three-round spell standing in at Red Bull?

Solid 7/10. It would have been an 8 if he'd kept his nose clean at Monza. His overtaking is really strong but the car damage he sometimes incurs being aggressive doesn't help him. Solid.

Now Red Bull have seen the true Liam Lawson talent. He should be more respected but just like gassy he won't be

He redeemed himself, did well, and without a doubt would get even better with more time in the RB22, however up until his injury hadjar had been doing well too so shouldn’t be dropped… yet! Pressure is now on him to keep performing because red bull know where to go if he falter next year

He did enough to show that he was much more than his two-race stint at the team last year, and may also have done enough to keep his seat at Racing Bulls for 2027 as well.

I'd give Lawson an eight out of 10 overall. Don't think you could have expected much more. He's certainly improved his reputation in the paddock

george.patten1w ago

Solid, but not enough to put him back in contention for the full time seat

seanfisher1w ago

Reckon other teams will be tempted by him? Maybe Audi or Aston?

seanfisher1w ago

Very impressed by Lawson, he made the most out of all 3 races really. and it adds some pressure to Hadjar to hit the ground running on his return

Liam Lawson could not have done much more during his cameo for Red Bull - and Isack Hadjar will be grateful that Liam took the grid penalty at Monza to add another engine to his pool.
