So much negativity around Newcastle right now - we want to hear some positives! Let us know in the comments 👇

The energy the new gaffer is bringing! It was desperately needed last season and some of these players quite frankly need a kick up the backside! Also much lower expectations so hopefully can go out and play some nice football.

Hope to see newcastle back around the top 4 race, they have some rapid attackers and a solid back like. Reinvest in the midfield wisely and It could be a great season

jonny1mo ago

I think it’s exciting because they don’t know what to expect, a different approach, exciting players and fresh ideas at the club

With the talent exodus (Hall not included), Newcastle can focus on developing their side under a new coach and have a relatively pressure-free season, and use the funds from their big sales over the last two years to gradually invest in the team as Jaissle begins his project

jameslloyd14.jl1mo ago

I think ultimately this can be seen as a fresh start. For all we know Jaissle could turn out to be an amazing gaffer, even better than Howe, and these young players are coming in bringing a new level of hunger to prove themselves

charlesjones1mo ago

I guess Dan Burn seems like a nice guy. That’s about all I’ve got.

IF we ever get a situation like the last two years, it'll mean the new lads are playing well and delivering success. IF we don't, it'll mean we're rubbish and NUFC have been for 90% of my lifetime, yet the stadium is always full and people have a good time. There's nothing to lose!

seanfisher1mo ago

It's a brand new chapter with new faces, new players, and new expectations. That's exciting in itself. If Newcastle fans hang on to the negativity of the summer then it puts them on a railroad to disappointment. Embrace change.

caleb.sage1mo ago

Keeping Hall at least. One of the best left-backs in the PL.

seanfisher1mo ago

... for now...

shamanth.jayaram1mo ago

Lewis Hall looks like he's staying at least. That's a big positive. Money in the bank for new signings too. Intrigued to see how Jaissle's philosophy will work.

vatsal1mo ago

Had Jaissle not been a Saudi League hire, people would genuinely be excited because he's a good coach. Also, not every team becomes a title contender. Newcastle can position themselves as like Dortmund of PL for players. Insane cash flow and sneakily competitive. This young pivot might actually help them

tom.procter1mo ago

It’s possible the general feeling that Newcastle will struggle could help take away some of the pressure. Like no one really expects much so that might be liberating. Not having any European football should keep the squad fresher to potentially have a good season

leeclarke05081mo ago

Could slip under the radar. Attacking manager. Unknown players, what's saying they cant do well this season?

seanfisher1mo ago

I really like the idea of Jaissle embracing the chaos and excitement of SJP and just making it a horror place for teams to visit

harveyleonard991mo ago

Guess a full restart is always exciting after a dismal season. Oh, and they’ve got another reason to pretend they have a rivalry with Arsenal! Seems they enjoy that

jonathan.gorrie1mo ago

Too soon, my friend

kilham.max1mo ago

Fresh start for the club with a new manager and creative signings. No path to success is linear and fans need to understand that.

peter.lynch1mo ago

Crazy summer for the magpies… but the manager seems upbeat and still has some time to sign some players, which they desperately need! Maybe Wissa can step up this season? ⚽️

david.comerford1mo ago

I was scrolling Transfermarkt the other day and I was surprised by how many new players have come in. As a Liverpool fan, I'm nervous for that first game, especially with those unknown quantities. If they get a positive result, the mood changes very quickly

jonathan.gorrie1mo ago

Positive as I am, I genuinely don’t think there’s much need to be nervous. I’m already embarrassed at my headloss at Isak’s imminent goal

chillout1mo ago

It’s been a summer of absolute turmoil, so not surprising that there is a lot of negativity in the air. But I guess Jaissle won his first match, there is money to spend from player sales, and Wissa and Toure look impressive.

jonathan.gorrie1mo ago

Young team, no Europe, fresh ideas. No need to sell now and no psycho-dramas about key players leaving. It's nice to feel something again 😍
