What were the biggest things you learned about Liverpool during the 2-2 draw with Newcastle?

kerkez and fripong is downgrade of ROBISON AND TAA

Massive downgrade yeah, not sure who thought Frimpong was ever the answer, and I’m not convinced Bradley is either

That we haven't learnt anything about the consequences about giving the opposition a free run into our 18 yd box without the slightest hint of a challenge. That second Newcastle goal was a total embarrassment. Our backs need to start doing the job they're paid to do and defend., including not being too scared to put in a well-timed tackle.

This is why I still want Mac Allister in the team. Say what you like about him, but he would’ve brought Wissa down there I think. He’s the only player we have who seems to understand the point of tactical fouling

We're just very tin defensively, easily bypassed
james.brooke1mo ago
What do you put that down to? Having watched their second back, I've no idea why Van Dijk doesn't step out to challenge Wissa. There's nobody running in behind and Willock is (in theory) covered by three players

We haven’t done enough business but the signings we have made all looked good. Munoz should be a starter, Jacquet was excellent again and Araujo came on and made us better

Probably the biggest takeaway is that we haven't changed much from last season, which is worrying given the supposed differences between the head coach's. These things take time I suppose. Other than than that, choosing to be positive, was impressed with Munoz, Jacquet and Araujo

We desperately need a new winger

The lad at left wing looked alright...
