Yes. JT has not been a top player for a long time. Gerard could be a fixture on the teams. Give him the experience.

I definitely would have. Thomas’ passion for the big stage over Gerard, who did not look good under pressure recently

I would have picked JT and Gerard and not bothered with Cantlay this time. Everyone knows what Cantlay can do in the Presidents Cup and Ryder Cup. A little warning about complacency may have been a good thing for him

Thomas is clearly going for his influence in the team room, but I wouldn’t have picked him. He’s been really poor for 18 months now and I believe he’s one of the most overrated players on Tour. Gerard has huge talent and could’ve made a big difference for the US at Medinah. JJ was the only other option but his recent injury problems certainly were not ideal
