What have you made of Chelsea's style of play under Xabi Alonso? ⚽️

Possession also matters a lot, if ur having goals it's one way of defending them other than being pressed creating pressure on defenders until they make mistakes an example of Brighton, now imagine ur playing city.

Brilliant free flowing attacking football, proves possession doesn't win matches and you don't need 30 passes just to get to the halfway line. I have saved some Maresca videos for when I can't sleep at night.

ALONZO'S STYLE OF PLAY SUITS CHELSEA, THOUGH ITS 3 GAMES DOWN BUT THE. PLAYERS SEEM TO BE ENJOYING IT ALREADY... THERE'S A FREEDOM ABOUT THE WAY THE PLAY, ESPECIALLY FOR PALMER...WITH TIME, THE TEAM WILL BECOME MORE COMPACT AND CREATIVE AND DEVASTATING...

Great attacking,,but defensively not great

Astounding going forward, defensively not solid enough not to leak goals

Great football up top,we need new midfielders to help the defence and keep hold of the ball, then it would be near perfect for me

Xquizit!!! Alonso is doing great different approach for different matches. Even if 20% Give it what it needs. Just win!!!. Alonso is the way

No point having 78% possession if you cant/dont score, stats really mean nothing,

will.butcher4w ago

Better to win with 26% than lose with 66%. In Xabi we trust

ronniemcmahon664w ago

We need two midfielders ,we were so open and couldnt keep the ball, but we will get mu h better xabi is top class

I’m surprised at this stat - makes it all the more impressive Chelsea scored four

I believe a wise man once said "You can have the ball, even take it home with you. We'll just have the 3 points" So glad to see back to front attacking football. Just need to get the defence sorted

It was a smart move, and I believe CFC make the right decision to replace Sanchez with inartinez.

As long as we win, that’s the only thing I care about!
